So far, my day had been pretty good. I was one of the better students, even with my problems. The teachers knew me, so they knew how to teach me. As for home, I had a mom and dad with two sisters and dog. My life was, well, perfect. I had love, food and and roof over my head. So, I never thought anything could completely mess me up. Wrong.
It started when I was walking home from school. My neighbors live behinds too, so I have to walk through their yard to get to mine. I hated doing that though. Everytime I do, a shiver goes down my back like someone has their eyes glued to me. A creepy feeling of being watched slithers through my mind. Nothing happened ever though. At least until that day.
I heard a crunch. Walking faster, I convinced myself that it was just my imagination. "RAWR!!!!!!" A scream/ growl stopped me dead in my tracks, sending an electric shock down my spine.
The monster behind me was a manish-bull. Waist down, bull. Waist up, ugly, hairy man. The first thought that entered my mind: Wow. He needs a razor.
After I realized he was probably going to kill me, I tried, but failed, to muster up the courage to run, scream, anything. Dropping my bag, I forced my legs to sprint towards my nearby house. "OW!" I collasped in pain, as I feel searing pain down the back of my shin. Looking up, I realized that the monster had made a grab for me, but only managed to cut at least three layers deep. Now, for a person who thinks papercuts hurt, I was in some serious pain. The clawed hand reached out again, and manganed to grabbed me around my waist, crushing my ribs. My screams of protest were muffled, and I soon lost conscience.
I seriously hope you like it. Plz reply back, if you want more. THX!

I woke with Alia's hand shaking my shoulder. I groggily (sp?) sat up. "What?" I whined. Oh right. The Camp. Pulling the quilt off of me, I stuck my feet into my converse. "C'mon. Nico's waiting." Alia opened the door of my room, allowing fresh, clean air to wash over me. I sighed and stepped out. Nico came out of the shadows of the cabin, and started going down the hill.
********
An hour past before Alia allowed a breakfast break. We ate our egg and cheese on wheat in silence. I didn't mind. The sandwich was probably the best thing I've had since I signed my death warrant. I, Anna, agree to die by the hands of being a demigod... Finally, Nico ended the no-talking mode. "Time?" "About 7:30 am" said a strange voice. Alia instinctively balled her fists and turned around. Nico unsheathed his sword, grinding his perfect teeth. My hand went to my dagger's hilt. A jingle sounded when I moved my left hand. What in the world...? Nico noticed me. He slapped his wrist, silently explaining what to do. I did what he signaled and out came a silver shield, the head of Medusa in the middle. "Who-" Alia's confused voice brought me back. Before us stood an 18-year-old boy, dressed in tan shorts and a sky blue shirt. "Sayter from camp. Mr. D. predicted you were dead, but when he found out he was wrong, he sent me. Naturally." Nico rolled his eyes. "Alia, Anna, meet Ty. The stupidest excuse for a sayter ever." Ty held up his hands. "Hey, let the sayter be. Besides. You need my help. Sorta." Alia balled her hands again. "We don’t need anyone’s help. Camp is only 5 miles away, and there is such a thing as a cab." Ty smirked and climbed up a ladder on a nearby apartment building, with natural human strength. In a moment’s notice, he was gone. Nico clapped his hands and rubbed them together. "Well. Shall we call a taxi?"
********
Only 15 minutes later, the car stopped in front of a forest. Alia handed the driver 20 bucks then scooted out of the leather- seated car. "You sure you want off? Nothings here." I nodded. When we were all out and the cab had sped away, I grumbled. "Great. Another hill." Nico smiled and took the lead as we climbed. In no time Alia, Nico and I were standing beside a tree on the tip of the hill. I took a deep breath and stepped forward into the boundaries of Camp Half-Blood. I thought I had seen it all until a man, no horse, no man-horse, came up to me and smiled warmly. It was too much. Alia, Nico, and the messed-up man went black.
There. How was that?

Here it is:
Anna: I’m a normal 11 year old girl. At least that’s what I tell myself. ADHD doesn't help much. But, anyway, how about I start with the day I almost died.
So far, my day had been pretty good. I was one of the better students, even with my problems. The teachers knew me, so they knew how to teach me. As for home, I had a mom and dad with two sisters and dog. My life was, well, perfect. I had love, food and roof over my head. So, I never thought anything could completely mess me up. Wrong.
It started when I was walking home from school. My neighbors live behinds too, so I have to walk through their yard to get to mine. I hated doing that though. Every time I do, a shiver goes down my back like someone has their eyes glued to me.
The monster behind me was a mannish-bull.
"OW!" I collapsed in pain, as I feel searing pain down the back of my shin. Looking up, I realized that the monster had made a grab for me, but only managed to cut at least three layers deep. Now, for a person who thinks paper cuts hurt, I was in some serious pain. The clawed hand reached out again, and managed to grab me around my waist, crushing my ribs. My screams of protest were muffled, and I soon lost conscience. I awoke in a cabin much larger than an average house. I tried to sit up, but my head felt like hammers had taken revenge. "Where- Where am I?" My voice sounded raspy, and my throat burned. I was about to yell hello! but a hand flew over my mouth and a voice hissed, "Shh!"
"MMM!!!!!!" I struggled to protest through a soft, but firm, hand. "Please. Be quiet. Nobody knows you're here yet, and I'd like to keep it that way." A kind voice said, coming from right behind me. Judging by the pitch, the speaker was a girl, maybe around 15, making her three years older than me. I tried to say, "Who are you? Why not?", but it came out more like, "Mm a you? Mmm unt?" For an answer, the hand lifted.
Quickly, I twisted my body so I could see the person behind me. A girl with luscious brown hair stared at me with hazel eyes, filled with concern and fear? She stammered, "I'm not going to h-hurt you. B-but we are not safe. We came across you in front of my mom's house. When he comes back, all of us will go to the camp and only there will we be safe. Okay?"
Pretty much all I got out of that was that there was another person. A boy. I decided I'd find that out later. Instead i asked the simple question. "So, where am I? The last thing I remember is... is-" My memory was cut ort by a knock on the door short by a knock on a door. I was right. Mystery-man was a boy. Judging by the young look in his eyes, and his height, I guessed he was around 13. Only one year older than me. His shaggy black hair covered most of his chocolate brown eyes. He tucked his hands uncomfortably into his aviator jacket. "Nico. Is the path clear? We should leave A.S.A.P. sadly, she doesn't seem to get we have all formed a- a... friendship." My 'friend' struggled with the last word.
Uncomfortable, I turned away. "Okay. Tell me right now. Who are you, and why are we here? I want to go home to my parents and family!" I tried not to think of the night when my mom had sent me away, telling me to find the teacher. Whatever that means Parents?" Nico asked curiously and a little wistfully. After I was healed enough to walk, the girl took me on a walk, to survey the area for.... don't call me crazy, but monsters. "Um, I don't believe I know your name." I said. "Alia." she answered. "Yours?" I sighed. "Annabelle. But call me Anna. Unless you like fists in your face." I said solemnly. Her expression told me she actually that I was serious. I laughed for real, the first time in months since... since... I couldn't even think about it. My smile retreated of my face in seconds. "I'm kidding. Gosh. But don't call me Annabelle." I lifted my hands, showing my innocence. Alia nodded and gave me a dry smile. "Right. I knew that." "Both a mom and a dad? How strange. Normally, a half-blood has only one parent. A mom or a dad." Nico looked at the girl nervously. "What- what if she isn't the half-blood we were assigned to find?"
Assigned? Alia: I could totally see her being his daughter, I thought as I brought Anna into the ‘survey’ arena. I really wished Nico’s father wasn’t the lord of the dead, one of the Big Three, it REALLY irritated me! Can you blame me! I didn’t want to go to the arena again.
Anyway, Anna asked me, “So . . . how is this supposed to work?”
“It’s easy, everyday me or Nico will bring you to the arena to test your monster fighting skills, every day the monster will be harder to fight. Today we will start with easiest monster to fight, the monster is the dracaena,’ I announced. “WHAT!” Anna exclaimed.
“I didn’t say it was the nicest, I said it was the easiest.”
I whistled and quickly going out the entranced closed the door and saw her father, the first god I ever saw was one of the most powerful gods on Olympus. Anna: He was dressed in a navy blue, button down shirt, with a white tie. Cream colored pants and brown loafer covered the bottom part of his muscled body. The man stroked his medium-length silver white beard, staring me down. I shifted uncomfortably with the attention. Alia looked surprised, and cursed herself in some strange language I didn’t recognize. I caught one word, though. Immortals.
"My Lord." Alia said, bowing. he nodded at her, not letting his eyes leave mine. "Such beautiful eyes. Child, do you know who I am?" I stared straight into his eyes, and I realized I was looking into my eyes. The same electric blue, with a black outline. I didn't believe it, but, "Dad?"
The man almost smiled. "I see the brains of your mother came to you. Sadly, I cannot take part in that. I seem to of given you, ah, the worst part." Alia cut in. "Sir, we were just about to test her for monster training. She needs training." Dad looked at the caged monster, only a few yards away. "Too easy. A child of mine needs a challenge." He snapped his fingers and a large, blue monster appeared. Alia made a squeaking sound. “Lord Zeus, she is too young and inexperienced! It will kill her!" Zeus didn't reply and we realized that he had left. "Some dad." I grumbled. Stalking towards the monster, I decided that I was going to prove to someone that I wasn't weak. I was STRONG. The monster yelled. "RAWR!!!!! Freeze!" Alia: How could he do this to his daughter? How could he?, I thought as I saw the most dangerous monster in mythology standing right in front of my trainee. This was bad.
I ran for the exit and quickly shut the door behind me. I needed to find Nico QUICK!
I ran into Nico so quickly I didn’t even know what I was doing. When Nico and I were dust off I told him what happened seconds before.
“The person I could ever expect to fight a monster as strong as that is Percy, and still that is a slim chance because they are like the skeletons; only someone with extreme power can kill those type of monsters,” Nico said.
“I know,” I said frightfully. Anna: I rolled out of the way as blue wind blew towards me from out of the monsters mouth. Where I was standing was a giant patch of ice. Great. He can freeze things. I. Am. Dead. Ducking again, I jumped between his legs and stabbed the back of his knee. Golden blood gushed out from the wound. The monster roared again and raised its blue hand to swipe me away. Instead, I jabbed my dagger in front of me, and Blue Boy got a hand of pain. He tilted his head confused. Then, in the whish of the wind, exploded into dust. Alia barged in, Nico at her heels. She looked at the dust and stared at me. "You- you..." I retrieved my weapons and waved a slightly. "Uh, hi." That’s when my world went dark- again. Alia: Nico picked up Anna when I noticed something new on her left wrist, it read ‘Aegis the Third’ in ancient Greek, in translation it is ‘Aegis the Third’.
“Nico, doesn’t Thalia have Aegis, you know the shield that has Medusa in the middle?” I asked.
“Yes, why?” “I’m just wondering because there is something new on Anna’s wrist that reads ‘Aegis the Third’.”
“What!” Nico exclaimed, almost dropping Anna.
“Dude, if you’re going to drop her, let me take her to her room. We don’t need you to break your foot again, now do we?”
“Be quiet, you tree nymph,” Nico snaps.
“I’m not a tree nymph, Death Boy!” Anna: I awoke in a dark room. Pulling the heavy quilt off of me, I climbed out of the too-comfortable bed and almost collapsed. "Wow, there." said a voice, hands catching me. "Who-" I began to say. The mysterious, but strangely familiar voice said, "Lights!" Alia stood before me. "Ohh. It's just you." I sighed in relief. Looking around, I asked, "Where's Nico? Did he leave or something?" Alia pointed towards the door. "No, he's outside. Didn't want intrude or something." I nodded, blushing. Following Alia out the door, I thought of yet another question. "How did I get up here? We were in the arena, way down there." I said, pointing. Alia just cleared her throat and waved her hand at the approaching Nico. Without another word, we all walked down the steep hill. What if Nico brought me up? He seems stronger than Alia, even though she looks 15 and he is probably my age, 12. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Nico gasp in fear. "That can't be. The barriers-" "Were broken." Alia interrupted. "A chimera. Beware the teeth, tail, and about... everything else." I gulped. Monsters can kill me. You don't realize how scary that is until you're looking Death in the face... Well, if you know Nico, you have done it a couple times, but, ahh. You get the point. "Let's move." I walked down the rest of the hill, my hand closing around the hilt of my dagger. Alia: One second everything was fine next second you see one of the most deadly monsters you can ever think of. Does that sound normal? Well, even for me NO!
I stood frozen, I was scared. The Chimera must have sensed it, it pounced. I yelled RUN! Knowing that it was not needed, we all knew we had to run.
We had all scattered in different directions but the Chimera knew that it would be easier to kill me, a weaponless tree nymph. I winced. Anna: The Chimera pounced on Alia, claws at her throat. Nico turned into shadows, invisible, then reappeared on the monsters back. Ignoring Alia, the Chimera turned around faster than I thought possible. It attacked Nico, who continued to roll out of the way as the bloody-mouthed killer ran after him. Alia stumbled towards me, a 2-layer deep cut on her neck. "You okay?"I asked lamely. Of course she wasn't. One of the most deadly monsters had been seconds away of slitting her throat. With a shaking breath, Alia nodded. "Nico. Where'd Nico go?" I pointed towards the hill. "Great. That idiot is going to get himself killed." She murmured as we sprinted toward the way he went down. When we stopped, Nico stood there, gasping, his deadly black blade in his hand. In front of him was a golden coat, shimmering in the sun. Alia looked at Nico in awe. "The mouth." He said, blushing. "It was nothing. But, right now, we need to get to camp A.S.A.P. It's not safe here." After a long pause, Alia nodded. "Tomorrow morning, at the break of dawn. It is only a few miles. For now, let's go to sleep. We could all use it." I nodded, and went to my cabin in a zombie mode. Falling into a dreamless sleep, I remember one thing. Hearing a man's raspy voice say: My little pawn has grown into a fighter, hmm? Well, you will be a part of my side soon, kid. Watch your back. The voice laughed, and I fell asleep. Anna: I woke with Alia's hand shaking my shoulder. I groggily (sp?) sat up. "What?" I whined. Oh right. The Camp. Pulling the quilt off of me, I stuck my feet into my converse. "C'mon. Nico's waiting." Alia opened the door of my room, allowing fresh, clean air to wash over me. Nico caught Anna while I started talking to Chiron. “Hi, Chiron, we have already found out her godly parent. Surprisingly it’s Zeus. Also have you heard anything about where he is, even I really want to kill him, but I want to give him a piece my mind first.”
“No, Poseidon hasn’t contacted me but I would go visit Percy because you know Poseidon doesn’t like talking directly to you and your family,” Chiron replied.

"Pass out again, kid? A hero of your kind should be more tough. Is she really the one Phobes?" A voice inside my head said mockingly. "You idiot!" Another voice yelled. "Don't give away names!" The first voice was silent for a long moment. "Yeah. But anyway, Girlie, better pick up your game. As for your future quest, beware. We have our own powers."
I woke up in a large mable room, with a door leading to another fairly-sized room, probably the bathroom. In the center of the marble floor, was a giant statue of a god, holding a lightning bolt. It seemed he was staring right at me, with those cold, heartless eyes. I promised myself that I would move to the bunks behind the statue A.S.A.P. Groaning, I swong my numb legs over the side of the bed, and slowly got to my feet. When I opened the door of my cabin, I shielded my eyes from the shining sun. I guessed it was about noon, considering the sun's placement. While I was checking out the other cabins, blood red, golden, silver, Nico came up behind me. "Eeepp!" I screamed and punched him teasily. "Why must you do that?" Nico chuckled. "Hey, as long as you don't pass out again." Pass out again. The fragment hung in my mind. The dream. A man named Phobes. My smile retreated off of my face. Nico immediatly turned serious and put his hand on my shoulder. "Hey, what's wrong?" I tried to look in his eyes but couldn't. Choosing to stare at the ground, I said, "Nothing. I'm fine. Let's go meet Alia. I have a feeling somethings up." Nico attempted to find answers in my face, but when he realized nothing would pop out, he stopped. We continued down the road.

I was sitting by the lake when I heard foot steps behind, it was Percy. “Hey, Seaweed Brain,” I said. “Have you met the new half-blood?”
“No,” he replied. “But there’s a rumor going around saying she’s Zeus kid, is that true?”
“Yeah, oh, um has Poseidon said anything about his whereabouts?” I said hopefully.
“Yeah, but he didn’t really give me a exact location. All he said was that he is the place you least expept.”
“Oh.” I suddenly heard feet pound on the soft yet hard grass.
“Hey, Percy this is Anna. Anna this is Percy, our cousin,” Nico said.
“Our cousin?” Anna asked.
“I’m Poseidon’s son so in a way we are cousin’s because Zeus and Poseidon are brothers,” Percy explained.

Chiron cleared his throat. "Brie, Sydney, and Cea-Cea. I am very busy. Please leave. And Cea-Cea, can you warn Rebecca that Anna will be with her soon? Thank you." Cea-Cea nodded and left with Sydney and Brie. "All right, as I was saying, we need a quest. If you agree, then it will be you two, accompanied by Nico. Do you agree?" Well, I had to think about it. Okay, so I'd be chased by deadly monsters that want to kill me, tracked by powerful gods that can turn me to ash, while I could be perfectly safe at Camp, cuddled up with hot chocolate in warm blankets. Hmmm...tough choice. But then again, it was going to saave the world, which included my family. "Fine. Lets do it. When are we leaving?" Chiron gave a dry, forced smile. "Tomorrow morning. You only have 11 days to complete the task at hand." Alia gulped and asked a question. "What are we exactly going to do?" Chiron turned to me. "Anna, time to go to the oracle. Rebecca will take you. I need to talk to Alia."
I sat there for a minute, but then quickly got up and left. I needed to think.
Jackie, can you go on our page about the story? What will the quest be about?

Anna, sorry I have not posted today, sad thing is I sort of can't because I can't find my flashdrive that has the next part and I'm also injured and if you want a VERY violent next part, I didn't think so.
Jacqueline
P.S. (Anna could you please put on my other Demigod stories that I probably won't be able to post for a week at least, please? If you could that would be awesome!)

“Alia, Poseidon sent me a message about 20 minutes ago, he said that your brother is working with two minor gods that he thinks are declaring war against Olympus. He’s not sure which two minor gods but he knows that two minor gods are causing a lot of chaos,” Chiron said.
“Michael is really making his hole deeper and deeper,” I said in a very oblivious voice.
“Alia I will warn you that there has been somebody- or something- wandering in the shadows and I think you know who it is.”
“Chiron it can’t be HIM! He betrayed me with that 12 year old Deborah and I also told him that if he ever tried to butter me up again then I’d literally find some sort of weapon and kill him with it!” I exclaimed.
I heard somebody cough from right. It was Zach.

Guys, I still can write, just the way I am when I write affects the story and I didn't want to write a bad part and just be the laughing stalk of the message board because I didn't take time to settle from the pain so,(my knee hurts worse than when I got bit by this dog one time) I just take a break from writing to get my emotions back together.I'm actually quite fine just I can't run, dance, really do anything that takes a big toll on my knee. Part of the reason I wrote today is because I don't want to be too far behind on my stories.
Jacqueline
P.S. (Anna, thanks for posting on my other stories that I won't be able to write, write now I seriously don't think I will be able to write because I'm pretty sure I have P.E. tomorrow at school which means I will feel like poop. Also, I posted on our thread about the story. *shreaks* Just bumped my knee on my desk, bye.)
