Jayne's story:
The door burst open,and a gust of hot wind blew in my face,ripping at my hair,glasses and clothes.
"What the-?"I started,but got a mouthful of sand.I then peered at the sand more closely.Was it just me,or were there symbols forming in the sand?I had studied hieroglyphs in school,and I could read a few.I saw the symbols for Isis,Horus,Osiris,Set,Bast[et],and many other gods and goddesses you would not recognise. And then I saw a hieroglyph I recalled from a book:an ankh in a box-like shape."The House of Life."I murmured.
As soon as I spoke those words,the wind died down.(But not before I got an extra mouthful of sand.)
"Yes my child:The House of Life,"said a man's deep voice.After I wiped the sand from my eyes,(and gosh that hurt!)I saw a tall figure standing on the thresh-hold.He had similar features to mine:upturned eye-brows,snub nose,wide sholders, dark hair and eyes that look so soft,but were strong enough to hold your gaze so easily but still have the power to make you look away.
"Dad?"I asked.

I hope everyone enjoyed my POV!Right now I'm a bit pre-occupied with learning my lines for a play my class is doing.So if anyone was wondering "Where the heck did the girl who was writing about Jayne go?"well,now you know.Oh,and I'm also practicing the Titanic song My Heart Goes On or whatever on my violin for a concert.So I hope you're satisfied.

Our characters' adventures happen(take place) between books two and three,so it should be Amos.Earlier,in one of her POVs,Joan wrote that she met with Zia(her cousin,if I am not wrong),so it's after book two and the Sun is still not swallowed,so it's before book three.I hope that explains everything,Amber.

Sorry, got...ummm, let's just go with distracted.
Amber's POV:
I still debate whether it was the strangest thing I ever saw, a group of people appearing at the top of the pyramid and, after sliding down it, walked away as though it had been the most normal thing in the world. But then again, weird things happened a lot in Memphis. There are still debates on whether or not the city had been invaded my aliens. I, however, kept my opinions to myself.
Back to the...second strangest thing I ever saw. I did notice they were dressed somewhat strangely, even by my standards. It did not help their cause that they slunk away like they had just commited murder. Even so, they aroused my sense of curiosity and the intoxicating feel of danger. So, naturally, I followed them.
I followed them to what they called a lection, and saw pretty much eeverything. Interesting? Not even close. The weirdest thing was that I didn't find it as strange as I should have.
The first thing I did was get away from the 'weirdness'. The second was to find a nice place to sit and think. It was strange, really, that it all seemed so...familiar. And...my thoughts were interrupted by a low growl. I looked up to see two lions, or whatever they were called, crouching low to the ground. Instantly, I was reminded of what house-cats did when stalking 'prey'. A split second later, I decided I had no desire at all to become cat food. I sensed it a moment before the cats pounced and leaped out of the way. Completely forgetting that cats could run faster than humans, I ran, the cats close on my tail. As I ran, I saw flashes of things, sand, water, and trees, which is probably why I didn't see the curb. Suddenly, I was thrown on the ground, very painfully I might add. I heard the cats slow, so I looked up. They were now circling, which added to the screams of other pedestrians. Honestly, I couldn't tell which emotion was stronger, fear or exhilaration. But my mind drew a blank when deciding what to do about the cat problem.
"Uh, nice kitty?" I heard myself say. When that didn't work, my mind conjured words I didn't even know the meaning of. "Hed miew."
Whatever it meant, it seemed to work. They clawed at their ears, yowling. Apparently having enough, they leaped away, leaving me on the sidewalk. It was unbelievable how tired I felt. Dazed, I stood up, getting only a few steps before I fell back down. Just before I lost consciousness, dark figures entered my field of vision, then everything went black.

"Let him down,you stupid bird!"-Xavier shouted at the gryphon that took Ryan.The doors of the hall where we were were locked,so it couldn't fly away with our friend."Great tactic,Xavier,but it's not working.Maybe we should try something else"-I suggested and when the gryphon flew near the ground I managed to jump on it's back.So did and Andrew."We kill it?"-I asked.He nodded.No-I heard voice in my head/We already had this conversation,Toni.I am not nuts/.The voice was familiar and I remembered where I had heard it before.When I was in Russia and Carter and Sadie conncted telephatically with me.The voice this time belonged to Sadie."Couldn't you use Xavier's head to send us messages.He almost don't use it,so I guess it can become the 'telephatic' phone'"-I said,without realising that it was in voice."What?"-Andrew asked me."Don't kill the gryphon yet"-I shouted because the gryphon was making an awful noise with its wings.It's easier to meke a telephatic connection with somebody if you already did it before-she explained-The gryphon is something like a test that Thoth gives you.You should manage to deal with it without killing it.Get it?.Of course,I get it.Oh,and when I go to a university to study archaeology I'll make sure that Thoth won't be the professor teaching me.I don't like his tests -I thought and the second part of my thought was more like a note for myself.Just deal with it.And why didn't anyone of our trainees call?Whatever.Just stay in Memphis.Carter is coming with Freak to take all of you to Brooklyn.That reminds me-why didn't you stay in Russia,when we told you to...-and the connection went dead."We should deal with it without killing it"-I said to Andrew."And how do you think this can happen?"-he asked me."I have an idea.Jump and tell Lotus to come up here"-I shouted/Yes,guys,you guessed right.It's one of my improvise-in-action plans/.He did what I told him and soon Lotus was on the gryphon's back with me."When we were in the limo to Vegas you said that you are an animal charmer..."-I began,shouting,of course,because the gryphon was still making a lot of noise."Yes,I charm animals"-she shouted back-"Gryphons are not exactly animals"."They are hibrids between lions and eagles,are they not?Can you at least try"-I shouted in response and pointed at Ryan.He was now barely concious and gasping for air in the gryphon's feet.I saw gryphon's tallons stick into Ryan's skin and knew that we don't have much time left to do the 'test'."OK,OK"-Lotus said, bent down and started whispering something in the place where the ears of the creature were supposed to be.I couldn't really see them because of the feathers.Whatever she said worked and the gryphon landed and set Ryan free."Well done"-I heard a man's voice and turned around.Thoth was blond and with eyes that seemed to change their colour every moment.He was dressed as a scientist that just came out of a chemical experiment."You owe us an explanation why your pet attacked us"-I shouted."And we all need a shower and some sleep."-Xavier added and when we looked at him he continued-"As a revange for the attack.Let's admit it-even the girls smell awful".I thought that it's stupid to shout at the god,but Xavier was right(not only for the smell).I haven't slept since I left home hmmm...before three or four days.I felt that my knees are trembling and I fainted.
OK,together with the explanations on her POV,maybe Alex should write how we met Amber.Sorry,I haven't done it,but I had to save Ryan.

Okay. i'll say that we were all attacked by a gryphon and two lions so it'll work out. ANd Iva, thank you very much for letting Sadie call Carter it just made my day! (sarcams!)
Alex's POV
You, Andrew, Xavier and Lotus worked to defeat that while Bianca, Joan, Thalz, Toni and I tried to stop the retarded lions from killing an innocent girl. Yes, very fair. But hey, not a very wide veriety. "Alex, fire?" Toni asked as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Oh, yeah," I said and instantly a jet emerged from nowhere. it landed in front of the lion chasing behind the second one that was trying to eat the girl. The flames encased the beast but left it in a burning circle not knowing where to go, the beast sat and started whimpering. I saw the girl fall to her knees and her lips moved. The lion started to roar and growl, scratching at his ears. I mutter something and the earth rumbled beneath our feet.
THe floor seperated and up came hard packed, damp , it made a cage around the irritated cat as the girl fell unconcious. I rushed to get to her and Joan got there first. She caght her head before the hard floor could do any damage. I felt very lightheaded but shook my head and kept running. I got to the unconcious girl and fell to my knees. "SHe's just unconcious." Joan's voice drifted through my hazed thoughts. I nodded and heard Xavier shout something about stinking girls and how we all needed a shower. He wasn't lying. "I was just testing you that is it, there is no need to be angry. Why don't you come with me. Your friend will be here soon." Andrew walked over and picked up the girl. I nodded as he held her under her knees and her head lolled against his chest.
"Andrew, bring the girl and lay her on the couch." The room suddenly changed into a rich Manor house. Andrew stepped towards the plush white couch and the girl let out a low moan as she was layed on the couch. Andrew came back to my sdie and slipped a and around my waist. I heard a squak from outside the window as Freak started coming into view with a boy on his back. I groaned and put my head on Andrew's chest. he chucked and wrapped a hand around my head, pulling me closer. "It'll be okay, but. . you do have some explaining." Andrew said, his voice not changing very much from the calm sensitive tone he used with me. My shoulders slumped and I hugged him tighter. "Hey don't kill him girl, we need him." Xavier said, but put a hand on my shoulder, looking more somber than before. We all took a seat. TOni and Xavier sat on the floor there backs against the couch that the brown haired girl was laying on. I sat on the other couch between Andrew and Iva who sat next to Joan who sat next to Thalz and then Bianca had her head on her chair trying to catch some shut eye. "Wow, we do stink." My nose scruffed up as I actually caught a whiff of ANdrew and sat back from laying on him. He pulled his shirt away and sniffed too and almost through his shirt off in the process. "Wow your right, is there a shower around here?" He asked Thoth. THoth nodded. "Through thst hallway there is one and down the other two there are two more. Three at a time, don;t waste the hot water and there will be clean clothes in the room to your liking I hope." Thoth said politely. Joan, Iva and Andrew went to take a shower. I spread out and put my feet on Thalz's lap. "Ew, you stink too," She said pushing ym feet off and laughed. I smiled, but still felt the tension of our situation.
"Is there any way I can get in contact with Anubis?" I asked as a thought. "It depends on your urgency. What is the reason?" THoth asked. "He told me something on the plane to Brooklyn, I just need to tell him something." "Well, he will come and see you if the time arises." Thoth said calmly. I shook my head, "Yeah, well the time is here." That's when he poofed into the room. "You rang, Alexandra." He grinned, his teeth white as snow. I sat up, totally surprised. "Would yu like to speak in privite?" He asked. I nodded and we walked down the hall. "What is it that you told me on the plane? I don't quiet understand. I got to the point. "Well, see, you have an amazing destiny, something to do with Apophis. Either you fall in love with the right or wrong guy. Either or, your destiny is at stake. Watch out for Andrew and Jason, one or the other is the bad choice, keep your mind open." He winked and disapeared. "Great! That helps." I sat back against the wall and sighed, lettinng out my frustration with that one breath.
I went back to the living room and everyone was in there, including Carter. "Alex," He agnoleged I nodded back but didn;t say a word.
"Shower, Andrew is done." Thoth said. I stood up, glad to get away from Carter. I walked into the room aAndrew hd taken a shower in and found him halfwa through putting a shirt on. His tan skin glisied with water. He slipped it on the rest of the way his hair damp. He wore a black v-neck and some black shorts, no shoes. "Getting in?" He asked. I nodded, "Yep!" I smiled and he smiled back. "Anything to eat out there?" He asked rubbing his stomach. "You can ask, Thoth might have something." I smiled even wider. FOOD!!! I hadn't noticed how hungry I was.
"I'll go check." Andrew started to walk by, but stopped. HE turned toward me so we were both in the doorway of the room. He kissed me urgently and I kissed him back, he pulled away slowly, his voice was low when he spoke. "I love you, Alex. Always remeber that, okay?" He said. I grinned but hesitated for a second, no, a fraction of a second. "I love you always." I Kissed him again and a releived smile crossed his face. He walked out and I got in the shower.
I wrote alot so I will explain everyhting soon, promise. Um, okay next!

Xavier said, but put a hand on my shoulder, looking more somber than before. We all took a seat. TOni and Xavier sat on the floor there backs against the couch that the brown haired girl was laying on. I sat on the other couch between Andrew and Iva who sat next to Joan who sat next to Thalz and then Bianca had her head on her chair trying to catch some shut eye. "Wow, we do stink." My nose scruffed up as I actually caught a whiff of ANdrew and sat back from laying on him. He pulled his shirt away and sniffed too and almost through his shirt off in the process. "Wow your right, is there a shower around here?" He asked Thoth. THoth nodded. "Through thst hallway there is one and down the other two there are two more. Three at a time, don;t waste the hot water and there will be clean clothes in the room to your liking I hope." Thoth said politely. Joan, Iva and Andrew went to take a shower. I spread out and put my feet on Thalz's lap. "Ew, you stink too," She said pushing ym feet off and laughed. I smiled, but still felt the tension of our situation.
"Is there any way I can get in contact with Anubis?" I asked as a thought. "It depends on your urgency. What is the reason?" THoth asked. "He told me something on the plane to Brooklyn, I just need to tell him something." "Well, he will come and see you if the time arises." Thoth said calmly. I shook my head, "Yeah, well the time is here." That's when he poofed into the room. "You rang, Alexandra." He grinned, his teeth white as snow. I sat up, totally surprised. "Would yu like to speak in privite?" He asked. I nodded and we walked down the hall. "What is it that you told me on the plane? I don't quiet understand. I got to the point. "Well, see, you have an amazing destiny, something to do with Apophis. Either you fall in love with the right or wrong guy. Either or, your destiny is at stake. Watch out for Andrew and Jason, one or the other is the bad choice, keep your mind open." He winked and disapeared. "Great! That helps." I sat back against the wall and sighed, lettinng out my frustration with that one breath.
I went back to the living room and everyone was in there, including Carter. "Alex," He agnoleged I nodded back but didn;t say a word.
"Shower, Andrew is done." Thoth said. I stood up, glad to get away from Carter. I walked into the room aAndrew hd taken a shower in and found him halfwa through putting a shirt on. His tan skin glisied with water. He slipped it on the rest of the way his hair damp. He wore a black v-neck and some black shorts, no shoes. "Getting in?" He asked. I nodded, "Yep!" I smiled and he smiled back. "Anything to eat out there?" He asked rubbing his stomach. "You can ask, Thoth might have something." I smiled even wider. FOOD!!! I hadn't noticed how hungry I was.
"I'll go check." Andrew started to walk by, but stopped. HE turned toward me so we were both in the doorway of the room. He kissed me urgently and I kissed him back, he pulled away slowly, his voice was low when he spoke. "I love you, Alex. Always remeber that, okay?" He said. I grinned but hesitated for a second, no, a fraction of a second. "I love you always." I Kissed him again and a releived smile crossed his face. He walked out and I got in the shower.
I wrote alot so I will explain everyhting soon, promise. Um, okay next!

Joan's POV:
Oh, I do love ze shower aftar (after) a long day calming down ze gryphons. Just a nvormal day for moi. I van (ran) down ze stairs in my bare feet, stopping at the bottom to survey ze room. It va vaser (rather) nice, très belle, acctually. Doctor Thoth ad a very nice château, or mansion for zose of you who are American. I svepped off the steps and valked into ze voom (room) vere everybody vas congregated. I svaw a large dinner on ze table, zat is ven I vealized ow hungary I vas. I mad my vay over to ze table and sat down, svaking (shaking) my shvort black air like a chien, a dog. Thoth looked a tad annoyed vith me for spvaying is poulet au barbecue with water. Oh, how do the Americans say poulet au barbecue? Yes, chick-en with barb-eee-cue I believe. "Vell, vat is on ze menu? Somesing bon, no?" "Yes, what we're having is good, Joan," Alex veplied. "It's french fries and cheeseburgers for all of us, and chicken barbecue for Dr. Thoth over here." "Oh, I do like ze frites françaises, zough, I do not like ze amburgers. I love ze amburgurs!" Zey all laughed, and I started eating. Thoth told us zat he ad a job for us, a magician's task. E said zat he vanted us to fly to Egypt and retrieve an artifact from ancient Alexandria. "Is it at a musée?" I avsked shrough (through) my fifth amburger. "No." E svaid cheerfully. "It's still there in Alexandria, under the ocean! Won't that be fun?" "Um, no?" said Thalz and Lotus at the same time. "Won't that be a little, er-" Iva started. "Difficult?" Toni repied. "Impossible?" offered Xavier. "Overkill?" asked Bianca. "Fun?" I added. Zey all looked at me like I ad two heads. "It could be, I like to SCUBA dive," I said.

Lotus's POV:
I was really thinking Thoth was a cyco. He WAS a pretty loony, professor-like god. And those kalidescope eyes were just plain creepy. And the fact I had to tame his stupid griffin [this is how Americans spell it, but GRYPHON is less common].
"Alexandria? You're kidding, right? We won't be able to breathe 6 or something miles under the surface!
"And let me geuss, you're all going to depend on the animal charmer to get some dolphins or something up to the surface. I'm the follower and part-host of Bastet! Cats HATE water! Uh-uh. There is NO way I'm doing this! Can I just get some super fast air transportation instead, like Mr. Thoth's griffin?"
"NO!" quite a few of them shouted, including Thoth.
"Sheesh. Just stating my opinion. We can't hold our breath longer than 3 minutes down there or drown!"
"Lotus DOES have a point," admitted Iva.
"But ve could SCUBA DIVE, no?" insisted Joan.
Thalz muttered, "I think I'd prefer an underwater breathing spell."
"Right. Lets find the Bubble-Head Charm from Harry Potter." said Xavier with a forced straight face.

"No offense, Xavier." I say, "But you must have a memory of a goldfish or something. Iva and I specialize in water spells." He looks at me like I'm crazy and then says prove it, I look at Iva and she nods together we say "Ach Lus!" and immeadiately Xavier is sprayed in the face with water. Everyone starts laughing except Xavier. He pushes away is plate of soggy food like its poison and pulls a face. "Virst zings Virst." Joan replies after a mouthful of food, "Are zou coming Caterr?" Everyone stares at him, waiting for an answer
"Sorry. I can't I've got other students at the Brooklyn house that are waiting to be trained! I seriously would've come but..." His voice trails off and everyone breathes a sigh of relief. Suddenly the doors burst open and a boy comes flying in "Jay?" I question. I look him over and study his appearance. His blonde hair perfectly in his face, his tanned skin was perfect and his kaleidoscope eyes changing from grey, to blue, to green and last to brown stared at me. "Thalia?" He ask in disbelief.
"Jay!" I scream and run up to home wrapping my arms around him.
When I finally let go everyone's looking at me. "Guys, I'd like you to meet my boyfriend Jay..." I say nervously.

Awesome! The body of Cleopatra VII! That's actually what I want to do when I'm an archeaologist, look for Cleopatra and dive for the remains of Alexandria. Yes! I thought I was the only one who knew about Kathleen Martinez and all that was going on at Taposiris Magna! (I don't know how to say or spell Taposiris, though.) :) Toni, sounds like you are a bit of a history buff yourself. :) And you blame it on Iva. Tsk tsk. :)

I,myself, want to find the real mummy of Hatshepsut.In 2007 archaeologysts kind of proved that one mummy found in the last century is the queen's(they compared a tooth found in a box with Hatshepsut's name on it with the mouths of several mummies that could be her),but I don't believe it.I mean,the tooth could have belonged to Neferure or Ahomose(Hatshepsut's mother,not grandfather) and that's why it was in the box.You think I have a chance,Joan?

Oh my gosh, you've been to Greece! That's so amazing! I live in America, so I can't go easily. I really wish I lived in Europe, though. Have you seen the Parthenon? I've always wanted to see it. It's been really nice knowing all of you, especially you, because I now no someone who likes Ancient Egypt just as much as I do! What's your favorite thing to study about Ancient Egypt? I like learning about the women Pharaohs. Any women in Egypt, really. They were just so amazing, what with the god's wives of Amun and all. Nefertiti, Hatshepsut, Nefertari, and Cleopatra are my favorites. There was also a Pharaoh for a short time named Taworsoret, and she was a woman.

Ryan's POV- the stay at thoth's house was nice. I hadn't thought about it but I hadn't gotten to eat in a while. I'm not sure which made me more sick. Flying through the daut or xavier's lame jokes. We landed on the outskirts of a small town. Then Iva sent me and toni to go and book a hotel. Toni started to talk," so Ryan we are kinda like cousins because we are both descended from Ramses the great." I replied, " yah your right." then suddenly the sandy ground exploded sending sand everywhere. I was thrown back into a wall of a building. My vision was blotchy. I saw was Toni being pulled through the ground as if the ground were liquid. Then Toni was gone. The last thing I thought was what am I gonna tell Iva. Everything went black.

Yeah,I've been to the Parthenon.It was really interseting,though I didn't understand anything of the guide's speech(it was in Greek).
I like learning for women-pharaohs,too.My favourite one is Hatshepsut.I mean-she is one of the best pharaohs not only among the women.She ruled for 21 years(which is a long time if your step-son and most of the priests(as you know they were pretty influential in Ancient Egypt) want to kill you).Besides during her reign there were no wars or hunger(for the Egyptians,of course).There are not a lot of pharaohs for which this can be told(though you already know that).Can you tell me more about Taworsoret,Joan?Even if I have read about her I forgot(and I blame my huge english homework for that).
