Alex’s POV: I was still a bit shaken as we walked into the world of the First Nome. We entered the busy place and know what I saw? Well, I saw a bunch of bustling people all around, trading and such. But, they all stopped doing whatever they’d been doing before to stare at us as we were escorted through the place. I looked around nervously; I’d always hated being the center of attention and always found the time to bolt when I needed to. But I couldn’t now. For obvious reasons. “Get back to your normal day, don’t mind us!” One of the evil (well I can’t say evil because they thing their good) magicians said as if he was a western cowboy bringing in a fugitive, which wasn’t far from the truth. “Okay, why don’t you take the trainees and I’ll take the criminals.” The same guy said, I decide to call him Tubby, he’s not that fat but I couldn’t really come up with much more. “Sounds good to me, wouldn’t want them alone with me,” the other one said, how about Purple? His face looked purple to me. Or maybe he’d gotten into a fight? I don’t know, but Purple it was. “Your right, I’ll call for some back up. Let’s say two other guys, huh?” Tubby asked. “Yeah, that sounds good, let’s go you four,” Purple said, gesturing to Thalz, Iva, Toni and Amber. I looked after them as they left; only Iva looked back, giving me a look that she’d try to do her best to get us out of here. As well as the rest I hoped, but I had my own plan running through my head. Suddenly two big, bulky guys came into view walking towards us. I sighed and crossed my arms; Andrew grabbed my hand, seeming to read my thoughts. “Calm down,” he whispered in my ear, his breath tickling my neck. I mocked his words, screwing up my face in the process the others laughed, Sophie, Ryan, Bianca and Xavier (hope I didn’t forget anyone!). “Oh come on, no need to be immature, especially in our situation.” Andrew tried to keep a straight face. I rolled my eyes. “Stop being a stiff. Now tell me something, what is one of my many talents?” I whispered turning away from the others. “Um, sarcasm, leadership, suspicion, elementalism, annoyance-“ “Stop, annoyance and sarcasm is what we need. I annoy the guards’ ad use so much sarcasm they get so angry we can get out of here quickly and save Iva and the others, and bye-bye First Nome.” I said, Andrew grinned, and looked down at me, his blue eyes proud. “I so love you, very sneaky, baby,” he smiled and kissed me quickly just as the other two magicians came up. We started heading for . . . ahh somewhere, I really don’t know where. “Hey, why are you so chubby? I mean you are a magician, do you eat too much cake?” I asked Tubby, because he was standing closest to me. “Shut up,” Tubby gritted his teeth; he probably got made fun of about his weight. Ignoring Tubby I turned to the other guy on my left, “And you, what is with the blue hair? Were you made fun of as a young kid?” “No, it is dye, now shut up or we will make you,” Blue Hair said. “Blah, blah, blah, I get that a lot, it doesn’t bother me, Blue Hair,” I made a snapping gesture with my hands and rolled my eyes, sticking my tongue out like a five year old. “You too, did you know your eyes are two different colors? Like one of those creepy Husky dogs, those are scary, let me tell you,” And I went on and on, each of the guard gritting his teeth. “SHUT UP OR I WILL SHUT YOU UP MYSELF!!!” Tubby finally grabbed his head and yelled, we were all alone walking down a long, straight corridor and nobody heard him. Andrew jerked around and looked at Tubby, “Threaten my girl again and see what happens,” his face was darker than I had ever seen him and all three guard backed away a step. Then recovered themselves, what they were probably thinking was, there just kids, they can’t hurt us. But they probably forgot the fugitive part to all of this. Stupid’s! Andrew stepped into Tubby’s face and gave him a push so hard that Tubby stumbled backwards. Xavier took that as a chance to get in. He rustled through his charms (I guess nobody thought to take them off of him, again stupid) and gripped one; he said something and one guy fell to his knees. Ryan seemed to be a bit behind and just stood there dumbly but Sophie jumped in and started hand-to-hand combat. I tried my hardest to use my fire but could barely get anything, probably because I was too unfocused. I jumped in. It took only five minutes to get all three of the men down for the count. We hid them in a small alcove, making barely a sound as we did so. Running back the way we had come all of us checked around corners and thoroughly made sure we weren’t being followed. I had given it ten minutes for us to get clear without being hunted. I was wrong, it was only five minutes. We had just run around another corner and I could see light of the market ahead, when the sound of an alarm went off and a voice came on. “There are fugitives on the loose; I need all magicians on the lookout.” And they described all of us. The hunt was on.

Thanks for the info,everyone.One last thing-can someone of you write a recipe for cooking turkey?I'm not sure me and my classmates will need it,but it may come in hand if we run out of ideas(which is highly possible).Only if you want to(or know one).

Wait, Iva! I told my dad and mom what you were wondering, and they said this:
You usually put rosemary, thyme, sage, salt, (so far those are some of the 39 clues!) :) olive oil and pepper on a turkey. Then you bake the turkey for a really long time, it depends on the weight of the turkey. Don't cook off this recipie if you are planning to make it for school, but you can find good recipies on allrecipies.com, I think. That might help!

Actually,Lindsay,none of them.The first letter of my name in pronounced just like the first letter of India.If you can read the International phonteic alphabet,then my name writes /IVA/ in it(just like it's written normally).
About the sphinx-it's used on the cover of National Geographic,April 2009.The angle it's shot in isn't the best,but you can find it from a different one in the issue itself.

Oh, I do hate alarm bells. As Alex, Andvew, Bianca, Xavier, Lotus and I hid in ze alcove, ve tried to sink of a place ve could go. I did not see any back up and Juliana ad dissapeared to o knows vere, so I didn't ave much hope for her. She vould be fine, but vould arrive a bit late to the scene, and vonder vhy ve vere all dead. She's like zat. Since ve vere all fugitivews, ve didn't ave to worry about behaving ourselves, and I vas sure we'd sink of a brilliant plan soon and get out of here, but meanwhile I vas crammed in ze back of ze alcove vith Xavier in front of me. Not ze most pleasant experience. Let's just say Xavier as not yet discovered ze vonderful world of doderant.
Ve vere discussing plans, vile vatching a highly trained, angry mob of powerful magicians tvry to find us and kill us. A normal day! Ze vould be looking for me, because zey can tvack me; I'm a member of ze Ouse of Life. It as it's perks...and it's downs. Ve cowered in ze corner, debeting vhether or not we should jump out an vun. (run)
"Alright, we should probably go at some point," veasoned Lotus.
"Like maybe...now?" asked Bianca. Ze corridor ve vere in vas silent, stvange.
"Okay..." Alex agreed, though she sounded wary.
Ve vere about to come out ven a whole host of magicians decended around us. Ze didn't seem to find us at first, but one of zem turned our way. Zey vere far enough away zat v couldn't see zeir faces, but ve could make out zat it vas two girls, one taller zan ze other.
"Uh oh," Xavier said, "I think we will be having company..."
"Um, Xavier, zey are on our side. Zat's Zia and Juliana." I pointed out.
Zia and Juliana van up to us.
"Hey there," Juliana greeted us. "Let's get you out of here. Then we'll get Iva and the others."
"Quickly," Zia cautioned us. "We'd best be going. About now."
Ve got out of our hiding place and followed zem out, ven Purple spotted us.
"There they are, get them!"
"Tourner. Now is ze time to vun." I told zem.

I'm back! I had a wonderful time in San Francisco! It was fabulous! We did all the touristy things like riding the cable cars/trolley, seeing Lombard St., walking the Golden Gate Bridge, and visiting Alcatraz. I'm glad to be home in Maryland though. Our flight got in really late. I woke up about 30 mins ago. :)

Alex answered some questins(BTW,thank you for the help during my absence),so now I only have to help ArtBull.You want ideas,right?In the end of book one Carter and Sadie said that they left the djed amulet that their father gave them in Carter's locker in Duat.Your character can accidentally find it.Or you can be attacked by a god or monster.Or you can meet another magician.Or you can think of something different.Hope this helped!

Well,ArtBull,that's a pretty long story(17-page story).What about I tell you what's happening now?I think it's going to help you more than the story of what has happened till now.
Right now we are in the First Nome and we are seperated in two groups-me,Toni,Amber and Thalz(group №1;the people from One want to make us trainees) and Alex,Xavier,Bianca,Andrew,Lotus,Ryan,Joan and her sister(group №2;the people from One want to kill them or send them in Nome 360).So right now the people from group 2 are trying to escape,but I don't know what's happening with group 1 because no one from that group has posted a POV recently.
If you still want a summary of what has happened,I'll write one,but in that case you may have to wait because a lot has happened.

I climb off of the plane in my home country of Germany, and smell the fresh air. "Now this is a beautiful country" I say to myself. I get my luggage, and pull out my video camera and with a big smile on my face, I begin filming my trip to Germany to put on my Facebook page. "Germany the homeland is very beautiful, no" says an accented voice behind me and when I turn around I see a teenager maybe a few years older then me. "Yes, it is" I say, "Hello my name is Kevin." I hold out my hand, and when he shakes my hand he replies, "Hallo my name is Van, I am a tour guide, would you like a tour of vonderful Germany." I nod my head and we begin our tour.

"As you can see the German country side s very beautful indeed" my tour gude says while I look out of the tour car with the other two tourist, he pulls the tour car over and points out of the car towards the wooded area. "And if you look close enough you can see the castles that have survived from the middle ages and every war that Germany has been involved in since." He pulls back onto the mountain road and drives down it pointing out historic buildings and telling about the history of Germany.
After touring around the German countryside for hours and seeing probably every site that there is to see, the your guide takes us to the tour guide headquarters in Hessen, Germany. "It was very vonderful show you, my friends around my homeland, enjoy your stay in Germany." The tour guide says, and off the tour guide goes. I am walking through a town in Hessen, Germany and looking for somewhere to eat when someone walks up to me...

Kevin POV
The man and woman that walk up to me, appear to only be a few years older then me, by maybe three or four years. The man has blond hair and brown eyes and is wearing blue pants, black shoes and a dark green shirt. The girl is wearong a red skirt and a tie dyed shirt, she has red hair and blue eyes. "Hallo young man, is your name by any chance Kevin?" The man says with a thick german accent. When I nod my head, they both look a little reliefed for some reason.
"Very good," The girl says, she holds out her hand. "Hallo, Kevin. My name is Kamberly and this is my older brother Heimlich." She says I shake both of their hands. They sit down on either side of me. "Kevin, we need to speak with you." Kamberly says, and the man, Heimlich, grabs me by the arm, "you must come with me." He says and when they get to their feet I get to mine. And with the man still holding my arm in an iron grip. Kamberly leading the way they lead me to a Volkswagon minivan, Heimlich climbs into the front seat with Kamberly climbing in the back and seating back here with me while Heimlich starts the minivan and away we go.

I was just a normal kid in Brooklyn skateboarding , hanging around with friends etc. Until the incident. Well it was just a normal day I was on my way to school until I saw a gaint bird around me that looked like Nekbhet from history class.
