So, thanks for your vigilance. And for reading The Medusa Plot and seeing things so deeply hidden we figured it would take months to figure out. Honestly, you guys have found secrets that surprise me!
OK, so to reward to you all, I have some official news. Now, as you know, A King's Ransom, Book 2, is just around the corner (December 6). And I'm well aware that a Vesper mole tried to leak the cover and title of my book, a tightly guarded secret -- and that the information disappeared shortly thereafter. People coast-to-coast have been debating the accuracy, arguing over whether it's official, shouting into the night. It's got me all concerned.
So I'm here to set the record straight. And who better to receive the very first-ever, official, unquestionable announcement about Book 3 than the Cahill Message Boards? Here goes:
• The correct title is indeed The Dead of Night. You got that right!
• The publication date, a source of much speculation, is officially March 6, 2012.
• And here is the first definitive, detailed, high-resolution version of the awesome cover:

Everything else -- including the reason for the title -- is still a closely guarded secret. All I can say is you'll travel to some jaw-dropping locales you may never have never heard of, with more deadly escapes and double-crosses, on a search for a secret left by a revolutionary leader who was one of history's great geniuses.
For the rest, you'll have to kidnap me. Um, that's a joke. Don't tell the Vespers. Really.
Peter
