Any INTJs out there?
I was just wondering whether anyone else on the MB is an INTJ? We're only 1% of the world's population so I thought it would be cool to find each other on here :)

INTJ is one of the 16 personality types according to the Myers-Briggs test. It's the least common one too (only 1% of world population!).

Any INTJs out there?
I am ISTP. It says I should be an engineer or software designer or something - totally NOT me! Thrown into the midst of these analytical careers is "bar owner". Yeah, right!!! I wouldn't mind being a history teacher. I love kids. I'm not sure the test is right. It says take it more than once. I may need to try that. All the stuff about me being an introvert and loner and thinker are highly accurate, though. Hmmm . . . something to think about.

@George: I know, the career options are totally wrong. For INTJs it says scientist or engineer or something like that too, but I hate sciences. I'm a humanities person and I want to write. Yeah I've taken the test several times and I always get INTJ except maybe once I got one letter (can't remember which one) different, but then I took it again and I was still an INTJ.

Reserved, and prefers solitary work to group work.
Dislikes confusion, disorganization and inefficiency.
Orderly and strucutred.
Perfectionist.
High expectations and standards.
More focused on the future than on the present.
Well-qualified to be leaders.
May seem aloof and unaproachable to others.
Must always be learning and researching something new.
To others, INTJs seem cold, cruel, distant, umbending, unforgiving, mean or icy.
Viciously loyal.
We can often predict what will happen in the future before it does (not psychic or anything, just using logic).
We don't do small-talk.
Independent.
Very private and only share their ideas when they are perfect.
They believe they are always right.
They hate to accept blame more than any other type.
Bad at expressing emotions.
Good listeners.
Usually self-confident about their work.
INTJs love to debate everything and prove people right with facts. INTJs have this weird self-esteem issue where we believe ourselves to be smarter and better than everyone else and at the same time we hate ourselves because we can never be good enough for our own standards.
Basically this describes my life.

INTJs may be unsure how to act in a situation that requires quick decision making.
We know what we know, and what we don't know.
INTJs are natural leaders but they usually choose to remain in the background until they see the real need to take over the lead.
We can see the reasons behind things.
Curious and passionate.
We may quickly dismiss input from others without really considering it.
May be intolerant of other people's weaknesses.
Intense and quick temper.
May hold grudges and have difficulty forgiving people.
We hate having decisions made for us.
We get frustrated when progress isn't being made.
INTJs are harsh on themselves.
Able to intuit when something is wrong or when things won't work.
Sarcastic (often bording on downright mean with the sarcasm though...)
Frequently misunderstood in our reasoning.
Original and innovative.
We often lack motivation to get jobs done unless we are extremely interested or mentally stimulated.
We live in our minds.

Any INTJs out there?
So odd there are so many INTJs around. Honestly, I'm surprised. Although the INTJ community is always larger online so I guess it makes sense. A couple of questions to all of you who said you were INTJs:
1. Do you have a large circle of acquaintances or only very few close friends?
2. Are you close-minded or open-minded?
3. Alright, who gets this (no Googling it!): √-1 2^3 ∑ Π ... and it was delicious!
4. Do you ever get depressed at the thought that there is literally no point in human existence?
Oh guys, just a reminder I forgot to point out. If you're 11 years old or younger you should look for a MBTI CHILDREN's test. If you take the regular adult ones you'll get mistyped.
And try not to be too excited to be an INTJ... we're generally considered arrogant jerks, so yeah. And if that's not your reputation you're probably not an INTJ. There's exceptions... but usually people hate us most of the time. Yay.
