My school starts tomorrow! (Part homeschool/part public school)
I spent the day with my bff! Had a nerf war..........talked........worked on a story we're writing together. Did chores.....played in the rain. Well, it was sprinkling. We drank gatorade and cheered to the new beginning of the school year.
Surprisingly, I'm nervous...........and very, very, very tired. I think I'll go to bed early.............

So what did you guys do on your last day of freedom? :P And are you nervous? :)

@Carla: Yeah, I'll find the link. I only have like 12 pages of posts to look through, so yeah. And I just cheched on the Writer's Council Meeting 1 thread, and I was like "Whoops, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that I'm on it because Carla is too, and that would make it weird......", but then I felt better because reading your last post because you forgot about it (not that it's a good thing), so it was significantly less weird. Congrats on being VP of it! So, I found the link! Just saying, the winners were never made official because the host just stopped posting on it, but you can see in one of the posts. But it wasn't updated by the end of it, so here are the results:
1st: FireyAssassin55- 12 votes
2nd: SportyCommander1 (me)- 9 votes
3rd: You: 8 votes

Tomorrow (the 20th) is my last day of "freedom" since schools starts on Tuesday. I actually can't wait, because I love school *everyone stares at Kelly like she has lost her marbles*
I'm starting seventh grade this year... finally. And I also have a volleyball game on Tuesday as well.

@Kelly: we need you on Author Link! You've been M.I.A. since forever! You're the head, remember? Please go on the thread, we're waiting for your orders!

@Nat: yay! I won a writing competition even if it wasn't exactly official!! Don't worry about telling me about Writer's Council!! It's not weird at all even if I'm in it too. Completely cool :) Do you have any stories here on the MB? I'd like to read them if you can give me the link/s. I've written a bunch of fanfics and I'm finally working on my first original, which I'm super proud of until now although not many people have read it. Have you heard of NaNoWriMo? National Novel Writing Month. Apparently every November NaNoWriMo gives all the people who have signed up exactly one month (from the 1st to the 30th of November) to write a novel that is at least 50,000 words long. It's quite a challenge if you think about it... 50,000 words. If you manage to do that and write the novel, you win. Even if your novel is awful, if you have 50,000 words you're instantly a winner. I signed up the other day and I'm going to try it out. Unfortunately, because writing 50,000 words in a month will be impossible for me (I'm about the slowest writer there ever was) I'm going to have to ahh... bend the rules. I've already started my novel even if it's still a long time till November, which you're not supposed to do technically. Writing a 50,000 word novel is a good enough feat for me, even if I take longer than a month to write it. My word count is about 13,000 right now. I'm about a quarter done.

@Carla: Yeah, I currently have two stories on the MB: What One Sees (a science fiction/thriller-ish one that I'm known for, but it's already finished) and The Life of a Bullied Tween (a realistic fiction story based on the lives of my friends and I, but I already wrote the entire thing on a different website). I was also writing a different story on the MB, What Happens When (another sci-fi/thriller-ish story), but I decided not to finish it because I just wasn't feelin it like I was with What One Sees. But here, the links are:
What One Sees: http://www.the39clues.com/messageboard/show/12187
The Life of a Bullied Tween: http://www.the39clues.com/messageboard/show/30067
And I, personally, don't like fanfics. They're just not my thing. But that writing contest sounds really cool! I don't like entering big writing competitions, I write just for the fun of it, but I certainly wish you the best of luck! And psh, its only 2 months early that you're starting, psh, it's not a big difference. But good luck!

@Nat: awesome, I'll check those stories out!! I think fanfics are easy to write because characters are already created for you, a plot is there somewhere, and you just have to twist things around a bit. It isn't as challenging or rewarding as writing an original story. So yeah, I prefer originals too. Technically NaNoWriMo isn't a contest. You just write and as long as you have 50,000 words you win, no matter how good or bad your novel is or how many people finished before you. I've decided against starting early now, though. I'm not going to use a story I've already started. I'm going to plan a novel in October and write it from scratch in November how it's supposed to be. No cheating :) I think that's the fun of it, the real challenge. I'm all ready for it!!

@Carla: Sorry, I would've replied sooner but out internet was down for almost the entire day yesterday, ugh. And no cheating? That's too bad. JK it's only fair if you don't cheat. Good luck! I hope you prevail! I'm going to keep this short because I'm hangin out with people in a few hours, and I'm slow at getting ready. So, good luck! Oh, and PS- I don't think I'll be able to post on friday and saturday, I'm going upstate (NY, I'm a New Yorker) to drop my siblings off at college. So don't be surprised if I don't respond on friday and saturday.

@Nat: oh no worries, I wasn't on the MB the whole day yesterday either!! I was busy trying to learn a song on piano and reading and going to the beach... I know, better not to cheat and to do things right! Oooh I hope you have fun hanging out with whoever it is you're going to hang out with (friends or family or whoever)!! Okay no problem, I'll talk to you when you get back then! Enjoy!

@Carla: Ooh! I just realized something! There's a writing contest, "The Message Boarders' Got Talent", and people are currently voting for judges (one from each branch plus a Vesper), and after I voted for you as the Lucian judge, you got a lot more votes! You're currently in the lead for Lucian judge! You have 5 votes so far. All thanks to me XP But here's the link:
