I (Carla/EmeraldMaze45) am back!
Hey everyone! You might have noticed I was gone for a few weeks (3-4 weeks to be precise). Well, the reason why I was gone is that I was at summer camp (which was sooooo much fun), but now I'm back on the MB! So what's up? What's been going on around here? What have I missed? How are preparations for prom coming along? Someone fill me in! I missed chatting with you guys so I'm glad to be back :) That's all for now!

Carla, you're back :)!!! So..... the prom is already going on since like last week. Gabby is back (which i think you already know). There is a 'Golden Age' coming to the MB (I'm not really sure with that yet though..). Montego is gone until August 22. And that's about it from the message board that I know.... well...... yeah.

Carla!!!!!!!!! *giant virtual hug* I figured that was where you were, but I wasn't sure. :) I'm so happy you're back!!!!! I don't know much about the prom......... I didn't go. It was supposed to be the 6-8th of August, and I was on vacation. But I don't think many people saw it, so I think they were extending the date............. But I haven't been really paying attention. :P

YAY! Your back!!! Um, prom is going good. We are all having a blast. And no one has been killed yet. XD Your stories have been in great demand. And alot of stuff is going on about councils and stuffs. I missed chatting with you! And Vesper One posted if you hadn't notice. I had to do a double take when I saw that. He's a moderator! @Hydra: OMG yes, I just saw the post for Cahill Prom and I was shocked! I thought Frankie said it was at the END of August! I can't believe I'm late for it ughhh.... What's the MB "Golden Age"? Another group/organization?
@Kim: *virtual hugs Kim back* LOL this virtual hugs things reminds me of this guy at camp who I skyped with before going to camp and every time someone said "virtual hug" he'd actually go and hug his computer. That guy was hilarious. You were on vacation? Where to? (Of course you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but you already knew that). I think prom is still going on because I saw the thread for it and some people had posted on it today and all. I'm just too tired to write a POV right now... I can't remember the last time I didn't feel tired... sleep-deprivation going on for almost a month, but ESPECIALLY this last weekend. Friday night I didn't sleep AT ALL (not even a minute) because it was the last day of camp and we were up all night outside (I got bit by a million mosquitoes). Saturday night I slept, but not enough to get rid of the super tiredness. Sunday and most of Monday I spent the whole day flying back to Spain (I got here a couple hours ago). I slept on the plane, but you know that's not real rest... no one sleeps for real on a plane. Anyways my point is I'm tired. LOL I talk/type too much.
@Harper: oh camp was INSANE. Now that I'm back home in Spain I guess I can tell you where I've been the whole summer. I spent 4 weeks in the Washington D.C. / Virginia area with my mom and sister. Then I just spent the last 3 weeks in Connecticut (the camp was there, we stayed at Yale University). On the weekends during camp I also went to Boston (2 days) and to New York City (1 day to watch a Cirque du Soleil show). That's about it :) Camp was so much fun, I did tons of stuff like paintball, going on trips (Boston and NYC as I said above), watching shows and stuff like a hipnotist (I was skeptcial about this, but it turned out to be the funniest thing ever), bands, a comedian, a dance crew that was on America's Best Dance Crew (the T.V. show), movies etc. We also had dances both on campus and at a club nearby, we went out for ice cream and frozen yogurt all the time, and yeah basically tons of activities. I met sooo many people!! I have some of their adresses cause we're planning on sending each other letters :) I love your new sig BTW! How have your past few weeks been?

@Carla: Basically the Golden Age IS an organization and a thing that will go to the MB. Basically the Golden Age is when we won't have the rebellions anymore, no more stuff like that and have more fun :) That's kind of the goal of the organization

You were at a camp for 3 weeks??!! :O I've only ever been on a camp for 6 days! :P
I love writing letters! I hate how people think its old to write letters. I write to HEAPS of my friends that have moved away, my grandparents, some other friends, other people I can't remember... meh :P

My past few weeks have been GREAT! :DDD
Reasons:
1. Our school finally performed our production (A musical) at our local theatre and it was AWESOME! We have been rehearsing for the past four months, and we had a conffetti cannon! :D It was AAWWWEESSOOMMEE!! We had so many quick changes between scenes and I almost missed one of my cues! But it was great! We were all like one big family by the end of it! :]
2. I got an A for the metal work toolbox I made! :D
3. We got a new maths teacher who is waaaaaayyyyy better than our old one! :D :P4. I got the Katniss Barbie Doll5. THG comes out on DVD this Saturday! XD
Bad things:
1. Another friend of mine died in a car accident
2. My sister has a cold and I think I'm getting it. :\ Fourth cold this year.
4. I only came 4th in my race for our sports carnival at school because I thought it was a false start but it wasn't! :( 5. My friends don't know I like this guy, but they think we'd be cute together so they keep pestering him to ask me out and it's REALLY annyoing me. I keep telling them to stop and they won't listen. Now they call him Liarper (Our names crossed together.) :\

@Jessica: heeey! I read Vesper One's post... creepy. And Jen T is just Jen B with a fake mustache on. Just so you know :) I have to get to writting SOON! Here's my very important to-do list (no particular order):
1. WRITE
2. Send letters to friends from camp/pen pal in France
3. Finish unpacking
4. Make camp scrapbook
5. Buy birthday card to send to friend from camp

@Harper: Up to now, I've only written postcards to my friends/family when I'm on vacation, and I wrote letters to a pen pal in France. But now I have TONS of people to send letters to! I'm so excited! You got the Katniss doll? AWESOME! I still couldn't find the pin in the U.S. I'm back in Spain now so I guess that means I'll never have a mockingjay pin :( Oh well...Ughh I have no idea when the THG DVD comes out in Spain!! I'll ask for it for Christmas I think. Did you see the photos of the cast members for Catching Fire?? Even Finnick's been casted already! A friend of mine from camp showed me. OOOHHH! Another friend of mine from camp knows this woman (her school librarian) who is JENNIFER LAWRENCE'S COUSIN!! She even went to a screening of THG in L.A.!! I started screaming like a maniac when she told me that, I was so excited! I'm sorry for all the bad stuff that happened :( Best of luck with everything, you have my best wishes!!

@Mahin: OMG you straightened your hair FOR THE FIRST TIME?? I've been straightening my hair for yeaaarsss, I actually do it every day for school (that's how much I hate my non-straightened hair). Oh I have to wear a uniform for P.E. too, it sucks. If we forget our P.E. uniform one class we get points taken off our final grade... How did the moving thing go? Do you like your new house/neighborhood? OMG camp was soooo much fun! I summarized my camp experience in another post above (I think it was a post to Harper), so you can read all about it there (I'm too lazy to write it all out again). I have no plans for the remaining 3 weeks of summer, except write, read, chat with my MB friends and camp friends, and just chill at home I guess. I might go to the beach or something, I don't know. What about you? I guess you're busy moving in and all... When I went to the U.S. I spent 4 weeks in Virginia / Washington D.C., then 3 weeks in Connecticut (where camp was), one weekend in Boston, and one day in New York City. It was awesooommmeeee. I'm sure you'll find the pin somewhere! They will probably release for merchandise when CF comes out, because then THG Trilogy will be waaaayyy more popular! :P

@Miks: Don't be mad at me :( I'm sorry I wasn't on when you came back, I couldn't get online from camp!! OMG I'm so sorry about Alexander :( I didn't know him, but its still horrible... I wish the best of luck for his family.

You must be super happy :) Camp was awesome, I told Harper all about it above so you can read the details if you scroll up in this page (I'm too lazy to write it out again I'm sorry). Yo've never been to camp before? You totally should! It's so much fun! I went to a day camp for a week when I was a little kid, and last year I went to a 1-week camp at Georgetown. This is my longest camp yet (3 weeks) and it was amaaazzzziinnng!

If you google "catching fie cast" one of the first pages that comes up is one with the list of actors and their pictures. The page is titled something like IMDb or some weird name like that. The actor's name (for Finnick) is Sam Claflin. I'd never heard of him before honestly... IKR? I freaked when she told me that, I've been pestering my friend trying to get her to ask her librarian for her email ever since.

Yeah, it was the first time :PPL
My parents used to think that straightening my hair would ruin it, so when my friend came over with her straightener, she straightened it without my parents knowing beforehand :PPL
Well, they kinda did 'cause I told my dad even though he said no (he said no 'cause whenever I ask for something or my dad asks me to do something, it's a joke for me and my dad to say no to each other :PPL) :PPL
After they saw my hair though, they said they'd buy me a straightener :D

@Mahin: well straightening your hair a lot DOES ruin it... but honestlyI've been straightening my hair almost every day for 2 years and it's fine. I'm glad your parents agreed to buy you a straightener though!! Oh that thing with the moving sucks... I'm sorry :( Maybe you'll get to like your neighborhood better with time. Maybe you just haven't had time to see all the cool stuff it has to offer, maybe the cool stuff isn't in plain sight but it's there somewhere! Just stay positive, it'll get better :) Wow it sounds like you have a lot of plans for the summer! I'm completely plan-less, except I'm going to the beach tomorrow (hopefully)! Today I finally played a bit of piano and wrote a LOT. I wrote my POV for this RP I'm doing here on the MB (the Immortals RP), and I took the entire afternoon to write it, but I was happy with the result at least. I won't come back to the U.S. in 3 years because, well, I usually go to the States for summer vacation. But I only have 2 summers left before the summer when I need to move into college. The summer after 10th grade (2013) I'm planning on going to travel around Europe, because honestly I live in Europe but I've seen more of America than I have of my own continent. Then the summer after 11th grade (2014) I WANT to (it's like a dream, but not for sure) go to China to do this Community Service program thing I saw online. I've never been to Asia and China just sounds so awesome!! I'd love to go :) And then after that it would be the summer after 12th grade (2015) and I'll be moving into college and stuff. Since I plan on going to college in the U.S., that will be the next time I go there.

@Carla: I know that this may be off topic but...... do you believe in ghosts? Well, I kind of do. Here are some stories:
I can't really see to ghosts but feel them rather. I know that there is a lady behind my back whenever I go to school. It's really weird. have you ever tried a ghost following someone's appearance? Basically that is what happened, here's my experience.
THE SHAPESHIFTER
I was going to eat my lunch because I was still in pre-school. I walked downstairs, going to eat my lunch with my mom. Basically, our dining room has a window that connects to the Kitchen II ( we have 2 kitchens in our house). my mom was in Kitchen I and was preparing adobo. When she was doen she placed it on the table that was when I saw her. Or maybe it was a him. She copied my nanny's face (who was upstairs taking care of my brothers). My eyes widened. She stuck her tongue out. She was in the window. Then she walked away. I was too scared so I tried to settle things down by talking to my mom about my bestfriend and my worst enemy in Kindergarten. When she was going to Kitchen II to wash the dishes, I followed her to investigate (Kindergarten-style). I looked to the place where my nanny's room was which was right near Kitchen II, she wasn't there. And the towel was there. Not even wet.
Here is my other experience when I was 1st Grade or Grade 1
THE GHOSTS IN THE THEATER
It was my first day in elementary school and I was sitting in the main lobby, bored. Waiting for my driver to come (we were in a private school, so we weren't allowed to go home alone, and I was in Grade 1..... what did you expect?). A classmate of mine (who later became my bestfriend) was having a group of helping people. Immideately, a classmate of mine was bringing too many water bottles so he was having a hard time. She immideately helped, but then they were going up and down screaming their head off. The third time they went up the ramps and to the main lobby and going down again, so when they did it again, I ran down to see what was going on. There was a theater undergoing construction, then it was just there a figure going up the stairs of the theater. We screamed and ran up again then down. When we opened the doors of the theater, there it was again but going out. We immideately closed the door and hid under the ping pong tables.
"Mommy, mommy, mommy" my classmate chanted. My heart was beating fast. Then, we went out, we checked the theater again hesitantly. Then do you know shadows of monkeys? Well there was one swinging around the theater. This time we didn't close it, just by a blink of an eye. Everything disappeared. Then my driver finally came. I told him about it, but he didn't believe a thing. Besides, he doesn't know english.

@Hydra: whoaaa freaky ghost stories!! No, I don't believe in ghosts, although I've been planning on writing a ghost story for some time... maybe I'll do it... maybe. I've never had "ghost experiences" except that one time when I was 5 years old... You see, it was in the middle of the night and I got up to go to the bathroom. I was walking down the corridor when suddenly a bright light turned on right in front of me, just hanging there in the air. I thought it was my dad with a flashlight at first, but I couldn't see my dad's (or anyone else's) silhoutte behind it. So naturally, being a scared 5 year old, I stood in the middle of the corridor staring at the light without moving until the light suddenly turned off. There was still no one in the corridor, but I ran back to bed and I haven't been able to forget it since. I've never found a logical explanation...

@Mahin: oh sure, if I lived in Barcelona or Madrid I would be happy to live in Spain too! But I don't. I live in a tiny isolated little place in the middle of nowhere... it sucks. Seriously, if the whole of Spain was a big city, where I live would be like the slums of the city. Like if I go to Madrid and say I'm from (name of place where I'm from) they already consider me like disgusting or something. It's so annoying. I wish I could go to an Ivy League school! But I wouldn't be able to afford that in a million years... so yeah whatever. Besides, even if I got a scholarship or something to go to an Ivy League school all the kids would probably be super smart and super preppy and I'd be the dumb, poor kid out of place. Australia?? I'm so jealous! That's my dream vacation destination!! I've ALWAYS dreamed of going to Australia but it's just so far away and so expensive :( Maybe when I'm older and I have my own money I'll go. I really hope you do get to go there next summer, it would be amazing! I don't exactly know how to play piano either... I've never taken classes or anything, but I convinced my mom to get me this little electric keyboard for Christmas and sometimes I go online, look up the notes for some song I want to learn and then teach myself how to play it on the keyboard. The hardest thing I know is the Davy Jones theme from POTC. Not much, but good enough for me. The beach today was awesome! The sea was too calm to be much fun, but I still had fun anyways :) I think we might go again tomorrow and hopefully there will be more waves!!
