So,here is some stuff on the MB I think we can work on :-
1)Ending Ignored Stories : So,I had an idea for this one a long time ago,but I figured it would be a lot of work and I wasn't...free :P So,considering we're the Writer's Council,we should at least help people whose stories are ignored,even though they are really insanely awesome ones. I had an idea that first we make a thread where people can tell the name of their stories,along with links and a small summary.Then,we can make another thread,clubbing all those stories into different parts such as 'Fantasy','Fiction,'Romance' ,so that people can see which story they think they might like and can go and read it.Its not much,but I think it'll help in some way.
2)A Newspaper : I went back to the first post of the Writer Elections to see what we're supposed to do...and in the branch rep section it was written 'will give advice,and find about new stories they've enjoyed',and I immediately thought of having a kind of newspaper.There we can post links to new stories,give advice about writing,give some prompts and other stuff to help writers along their way.
Tell me what you think about this stuff,and if you wanna add other stuff we should do,you're completely welcome to do so :)

1) Ending Ignored Storied: I think your idea is great! I couldn't have come up with anything better.
2) A Newspaper: That's such a good idea! It would be rather hard to keep organized, though. I think we do this, we should also have a planning page so everything is organized.
I don't have any other ideas right now, but I'll think of some. Laterz!

Alrighty!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad this was on Nat's post or I probably wouldn't have seen it for a while.... :)
I think both of those ideas are great!!! And yeah, both of the stories I write are sort of ignored........... One is called A Cold Harsh Life (the story of life under the wing of an angel) and the other is The Apocalypse Rip. (Personally, A Cold Harsh Life is hard to write for me because it's fanfiction, but it's with a friend so I enjoy it anyways. And if you just check out one, please look at The Apocalypse Rip. It's most likely the better of the two.) Both should be under my posts.......... Oh yeah, and the link to The Apocalypse Rip is /22106. (I just gave it to someone else so I knew.......) So, Since I'm secretary, I was thinking each of us could write a paragragh or two on some new stories we liked, and then you post it for me, and I correct spelling, add some splashes of color, and Poof! Post it on a new thread, and YAY! We have a newspaper.

They Come and Go

I’d like to start this off by saying congratulations, MBers! As many of you have noticed, more and more posts on the first page have titles like “Hi! I’m new to the Message Board!” Well, that means that the Message Board is getting more popular, and many of its popularity is from you guys telling your friends who aren’t on the MB to join the MB. So great job, it’s paying off! However, many of the posts made by newcomers don’t get much attention, which disappoints me. The following message goes to all MBers who aren’t new: Remember when you were new to the MB, and didn’t know anybody? Remember how weird and saddening it was to make posts that nobody looked at? And the worst part, when you looked at other posts that had several pages of comments. You would just wonder, “Why don’t my posts get as many comments as theirs?” Well, although it may not have been as easy for you to make new friends, or maybe it was, either way we should be trying our best to prevent new MBers to have to go through that sadness of not having any friends on the MB. When someone makes a post saying that they’re new, you should go to it! Help them out a bit! After all, wouldn’t you have wanted people to do that for you? This message goes to ALL MBers: I decided to go through several pages of the message board and take note of all the people who made posts within the last month saying that they were new. Here are the people who I saw had made those posts:

Okay, so I’d also like to talk about a sadder topic. As well as people keep joining the MB, people keep leaving, or at least talk about leaving. I think most of us have heard about Red, someone planning on leaving the MB. Although I don’t know much about him, I have seen many posts trying to get him to stay. That is what I love to see- people trying to stop others from leaving the MB. It shows the person leaving that people here care about them! They don’t want them to leave! However, that doesn’t always stop them. The main reasons that people are leaving are a) Their posts are ignored, and b) They don’t believe they are getting much respect. I’m not sure the reason that Red wanted to leave, but I’m sure he has a good reason. What I’m getting at is that instead of leaving the MB if you have ignored stories, check out the W.O.A. (Writer’s Official Association), where your stories will no longer be ignored. Also, the Writer’s Council is working on ending ignored stories, so you can rest assured that we will do our best to stop it. And the second reason, disrespect, is just disappointing. There is no reason why anybody should be disrespected on the MB. I doubt many people pay attention to it, but next time you go to comment on something, check out the rules listed above the comment box. One of the rules is “No being mean, rude, or cursing.” Although cursing is obviously not going to be overlooked by the Mods, they can’t always tell what we will be hurt by. So guys, knock it off. Stop disrespecting people on the MB. It’s a serious thing, and people are being hurt by it. So as I said, just knock it off. It’s not okay. People are leaving the MB because of it, so just stop. - Her highness, Princess Daniella, is completely convinced of her highness. Full of herself and spoiled rotten, she lives in the lap of luxury in the castle. Rosetta is a girl of the same age, but her life is completely opposite. She works as hard as she possibly can, trying to provide for her poor starving family. Princess Daniella has had several sorrows in her life that were hard for her family to bear, but she gives no pity to others. Least of all those peasants.

I think most of us had heard about Red, someone who was planning on leaving the MB. Although I didn’t know much about him, I had seen many posts trying to get him to stay. That is what I love to see- people trying to stop others from leaving the MB. It shows the person leaving that people here care about them! They don’t want them to leave! However, that doesn’t always stop them. The main reasons that people are leaving are a) Their posts are ignored, and b) They don’t believe they are getting much respect. I’m not sure the reason that Red wanted to leave, but I’m sure he had a good reason. What I’m getting at is that instead of leaving the MB if you have ignored stories, check out the W.O.A. (Writer’s Official Association), where your stories will no longer be ignored. Also, the Writer’s Council is working on ending ignored stories, so you can rest assured that we will do our best to stop it. And the second reason, disrespect, is just disappointing. There is no reason why anybody should be disrespected on the MB. I doubt many people pay attention to it, but next time you go to comment on something, check out the rules listed above the comment box. One of the rules is “No being mean, rude, or cursing.” Although cursing is obviously not going to be overlooked by the Mods, they can’t always tell what we will be hurt by. So guys, knock it off. Stop disrespecting people on the MB. It’s a serious thing, and people are being hurt by it. So as I said, just knock it off. It’s not okay. People are leaving the MB because of it, so just stop. I have to admit, the first time I read this story, I was blown away. It was suspenseful, exciting, action-packed, and thrilling. Not to mention the description was phenominal!
In Minds, Evelyn, a child genius and twin, lives a decently pleasant and ambitious childhood. At age 10, she graduated high school, spending only two years there before getting her diploma. But in the car on the way back to her house for a special congratulatory dinner, she closes her eyes and discovers something horrifying, yet fascinating: she is a mind reader.

Hola,guys! =D The MB has grown in many ways than it was before...I myself saw it grow.I joined the baord in around September 2011,and was one of the first people to write a story.My first was an Amy+Ian sotry,and it was the reason I got so famous.But,now,when I go back and see the first post of my first story..........I'm shocked,because it was the most horrible post ever. :P It was,you can see for yourselves.Hundreds of spelling errors,and the language was sick,according to me.Still,I got around 20+ comments then saying I had to continue and It was great.And now,when I write,on that story [its still not ended,BTW] I don't even get more than 3 comments after each post.Actually,sometimes,there are no comments at all.
But that doesn't mean I stop writing.
I've seen people on the MB finish off their stories just because there were no comments.Its one of the things I learned from Katelin---that keep writing no matter what.The inspiration should be in yourself,and should not origin from the people who comment on your story! I know its motivating when people comment,but in what the MB is today,I consider even getting 5 comments an accomplishment.It is about being popular or not,but the more you write,the more you show people that you don't care if they don't care and as the story progresses....Trust me,comments do come around.I also have a story going at the moment called 'Dealing with Cahills'.It started off good,but then nobody.....I mean,nobody at all,commented for a series of posts.As thought,I kind of got angry and didn't write on the story for about a month or two.Just then,a comment popped up...from Hope,telling me to continue.Yes,I twas just one person,but I started off again.I enjoyed writing the story,so I even advertised it a bit,because I realised you have to tell the people about the story---the people can't predict.
The result : The story is going great,much better than before.The comments are still just 2-3,but I'm happy to know that at least somebody's reading.

Elsmeria; a story by Carla aka EmeraldMaze45
This fanfic tells the story of a kingdom in the 'shadows'-Elsmeria-where elves live because living their life parallel to the humans has turned out to be more difficult for them.It outlines the story from Nicholas,the young prince of Elsmeria,perspective,and how he joins the human world for ten months a year,and attends school like a normal 15-yr-old.He starts to like the human world more than his own kingdom,and his family and friends start to object.Though,one day,Nicholas and his tutor,Eliah,are trying to enter the human world,when they find the barriers around Elsmeria blocking them.Gunshots wave across Elsmeria,when they're aren't any guns or weapons of destruction in there.
This means only thing : Elsmeria is under attack.And humans are leading the attack.
I seriously recommend this story.Its in progress,but might be one of the best stories I've read on the board.I can't describe the story much,just go to the link and see for yourselves.

OMG I can't believe I took so long to find this!! (Well, technically I didn't find it... Smriti dropped me the link... thanks Smriti :) )
Anyways I wanted to say I'm super happy to be here and I'm loving the stuff you guys have been doing!! Amazing!
I had an idea about something we could do. I'm not sure if it's been done before or if you guys are already doing it (probably but I'm still going to say it), but I thought we could have a sort of "reviewing pannel". With this I mean that any writer on the MB can give us a link to their story and one of us will read it and then give that person feedback on what we thought of the story and how the writer could improve it. I think it might be useful for aspiring authors to improve their writing and also helpful for ignored posts. Just an idea, I hope it's alright.
One last thing: Smriti thanks sooo much for the review/summary of Elsmeria you wrote!! I was so surprised when I saw that (you should've seen me, I jumped on my chair with a little gasp of shock... puppy style) and so happy too! I didn't know you'd read it!
