I got out of my car, shouting, "Bye Mom! Bye Dad! Love you!" My parents waved and honked at me. I waved back, adjusting my lime-green and silver zebra-print duffel on my back.
I had packed a ton. I didn't know what I had to bring to Summer Camp, being that it was my first time. I packed toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, etc.), twenty outfits, two pairs of tennis shoes, two pairs of flip-flops, a bathing suit, makeup, my iPhone, my iPod touch, my chargers, sunglasses, my diary, a writing journal, three pairs of headphones, twelve books, binoculars, sunscreen, bug spray, a flashlight, a whole pack of purple pens, stationery, a hundred bucks, jewelry, mosquito netting, hiking boots, my camera, my paintbrush and paint set, hand sanitizer, a tape measure, fifty colors of nail polish, my allergy medication, beads and thread, my sleeping bag, underwear, my nature guidebook, a hat, twelve bottles of water, a shovel, a spade, a pack of cards, three flashlights, four packs of spare batteries, a pack of rubber bands, yarn, ten yards of rope, my baby blanket, my silver locket with a picture of me and my BFF, a Swiss army knife, my stuffed zeraffe (zebra and giraffe), a pack of pencils, a first aid kit, chewing gum, tic tacs, canned food, highlighters, a dictionary, a thesaurus, an atlas, spare bookmarks, spare bottles of perfume, extra bottles of lotion, shampoo and conditioner, tweezers, a nail file, nail clippers, a grappling hook (hey, who knows what could happen at a Summer Camp?), celebrity magazines, an umbrella, a foldable chair, a handheld mirror, a rain jacket, spare socks, an apron, and a huge rock. I was totally prepared for anything. Well, almost anything.
I walked up to the campfire and looked at the Cabin Lists. I would be in Cabin 2 with some girls named Audrey, Katherine, and Katie. Obviously I didn't know them. I hoped they were nice. Even if they weren't nice to me, I'd still be nice to them though. That's what a Messalani does.
I walked up to the cabin and saw that there were four bunk beds. I claimed the top bunk of the bed that was facing the lake. The window was wide enough for me to climb through. I set my duffel on the mattress. I would unpack later. My duffel had a seven-digit code on it, so nobody could open it unless they were me. The cabin was fairly nice, each wall painted a different color. The colors were lime-green, hot pink, lavender, and light blue. The bunk beds were white, and the mattresses were full-sized. There were huge cubbyholes in the cabin, big enough for me to put my stuff in, and luckily, they were labeled with our names. My name was in sea-green.
I sat on my bunk and waited for my cabinmates to arrive. Then someone pushed open the door...

The moment I got out of the car I could smell the pine in the air. Delightful. Mom shut the car door and sped off immediately. Oh, so it was one of those trips. I rolled my bag to the front desk an signed in. The man at the desk, a Mr. Farley, told me that my cabin would be cabin 5 and that it was on the other side of the campus. Luckily, also the closest cabin to the lake. I put my sunglasses down and rolled my bag all the way to Cabin 5. Once I got in there, I realized the entire cabin was empty of campers. Well, I was about an hour early on the first day of the first camp, so why not? I unpacked my stuff and got my bunk ready(I chose top), then grabbed my swimsuit and headed for the lake. The girls could meet me later, this was a summer-long camp for Pete's sake! Firstoff I had a date with some swimming.

I was really really nervous. I never went to a summer camp. But my mom and dad forced me to go to a camp. I liked the name of the camp. But I was scared that the girls in my cabin would me mean and shove my head in a toilet. I gulped just thinking about it maked me sick.
"honey? we arrived!" my mom said. I looked out the window. The camp looked ok. For now. I got out carrying my bags. "so, have fun!! I'll write letters!" mom called out the window. And then she was gone. I sighed "wish I could turn back the clock" I said.
I started looking for the cabin 1 I was put in at. Finally I found it. it was pretty formal looking. I took a deep breath and opened the door of the cabin. The cabin was empty! I felt over joyed!! I plunked my bags on the top bed. Then I thought about my social meeting with the other cabin girls. I closed my eyes and started to practice. "hello, my name is veonica, I'm 12 and I'm pretty fun and will be your good friend if you want...." some one clapped. I opened my eyes and almost fell off my bed. It was a girl!

As I Walked Out've the car, I felt freedom, even though it's just for one summer, " Bye mom!!" I yell And Start walking towards the counsiler (sp?) "Bye!" She yells and drives off " Welcome to camp" says the lady dressed in a tanish color uniform " Hi" I say "Your Adara, Right?" checking her clip board " Correct" i say Her is your room number and enjoy the experince here" she say smiling. Okay So i check the paper, number 3, " I wonder who are the roommates I'm gonna get" I wonder finding the direction to my cabin.

I blew a strand of hair out of my face as I carried my dark purple duffel bag into Camp Pine Lake. Everything looked the same as it had the year before...and the year before that...and the year before that. My parents forced me to come here every summer because my Mom and Grandmother had apparently both came here and loved it. I didn't share their enthusiam quite as much. Sure, camp could be fun, but couldn't I at least do something else for one year? I went up to a lady wo lookedvaguely familiar in a khaki uniform. "Audrey Bolton?" She asked. When I nodded, she informed me that I would be spending the summer in Cabin 2. I thanked her and walked off. She had also toldme the other girls in my cabin: Katie, Mahin, and Katherine. I didn't know any of them. "Typical," I muttered aloud. "Wait, what?' I turned to see a girl standing a little bit off with her bag. "Oh, sorry, I wasn't talking to you, not to sound rude or anything." She smiled. "No, I'm sorry. I'm Cea, by the way." I shook her hand. "Audrey. I'm in Cabin Two." Cea pointed towards another cabin. "I'm in there." she said. "Oh, well maybe I'll see you later?" She nodded. "Sure." I went over to my cabin and walked in to see a girl about my age. She smiled hesitantly. "Hi, I'm Mahin." I set down my bag on a bunk. "I'm Audrey. If we wind up as friends, ou can call me Aud. If we don't, please don't." Her smile faltered. "Um, okay...?" I hadn't really meant to come off as mean. It was just that she had pbrought SO MUCH STUFF. Literally, her bag was bulging. That translated in my mind to her being clingy. I didn't like clingy people...

Emily's POV
I was going to resent my parents for the rest of my life. I mean its not my fault they wouldn't trust me in the house alone, I had plans for this summer you know. My best freind Isabella was going to Hawaii and her parents invited me, Lula and I had already planned out at least 4 sleep-overs going over the whole summer. Lula and Isabella were really my only freinds and "Pine Lake Camp for girls" was an ALL SUMMER LONG CAMP!
The excuse my parents said was "You need a new outlet, after that incident we don't want you hurting yourself, and this camp has promised that it provides a safe fun enviorment free from the distraction of boys."
Did my parents really just say that, Pine Lake was a place free of the distraction of boys. I hadn't even had my first crush yet (not including kindergarten) and they were already worried about boys being a distraction!
"Come on sweetie-pie it will be fun" My mom smiled cheerfully, i mean after all it was her idea anyways to send me to Pine Lake.
"I highly doubt it, what if....what if..." i claimed searching for something good to say "What if the girls in my cabin are mean and nasty! Or what if an asteroid hits the camp and i was there, see the chances of an asteroid hitting earth this year and causing major damage is 1/68703 (i just made up the numbers)"
"See this is why you are going to camp, your just too into these facts and numbers, i mean you literally can't forget them!" My mom shouts making her point. I groan and shove the bright sea green duffel bag into the back of the bus, and throw my backpack and my blankets and pillows right behind it, all landing in a giant heap in the back of the bus my parents had rented to transport me the 13 hour drive to Pine Lake, apparently they didn't want to drive 13 hours.
"Love ya dad" I call as the bus begins to move, i already said my good byes at 6 o'clock this morning when my parents made me get up to finish packing, but i still wanted one last goodbye as they vanished behind a tree as the bus took the turn.
The bus was actually very comforatble inside, the seats were covered in a soft leather and the reclined all the way back so i could fall asleep tonight. There was a snack counter with a microwave and several T.V. dinners in a small mini fridge along with a couple soda's, and bottled waters. There was a T.V. (thank goodness) and a couple magazines sitting on a table.
I turned on the T.V. and started watching "Good luck Charlie" while flipping through the latest "Discovery" Magazine. I had left home at 7:00 p.m. which meant i should arrive at camp at 8:00 in the morning. What a long drive this was going to be.
7:30 A.M aproximently 30 miles from Pine Lake Camp
I woke up with a kink in my neck and the T.V. still on. The left overs from last nights dinner were shoved messily into the garbage can and a spoon from the soup was sticking haphazardly out of the garbage can. I changed out of my pajama's. I was now wearing a light yellow sun dress with a brown and pink floral design. I had strapped a magenta belt around my waist and was slipping my feet into a pair of white "Salt Water Sandals". I braid my hair in pig-tail braids down the side and pull on a necklace with a pink heart my mom gave to me last christmas.
8:02 P.M Pine Lake Camp
The bus travels through a small forest before arriving at a clearing i can only guess is Pine Lake Camp, apart from the large green sign that says PINE LAKE CAMP spelled across the top.
The bus lurches to a stop and looking out my window i can see a few stares and glances from the other girls. "They probably all had their parents drive them" I think to my-self as the driver gathers my things and hands them to me before jetting off, eager to collect his check.
I find out i'm in Cabin 5, near the edge of camp at the edge of the lake. It's a small wooden cabin with a porch off the front and a small light bulb above the door way that has several cob-webs hanging from it. I push open the heavy wooden door and see the cabin on the inside is nothing like the outside. Colorful walls are the first thing i notice, two of them are painted a light yellow that matches my dress and the other two are both a light blue, one has a large window looking out into the lake and the other has several cubby holes ready for people to put in their belongings. I already see one person has claimed the top bunk on the right side of the cabin so i claim the top bunk on the left side, placing my blankets and pillows on top of it before sliding my bags into one of the cubby holes.
A girl walks in about 10 minutes later, i soon find out her names Virginia, the other girls in my cabin include Maya and Amanda (or Lindsey). They all seem pretty nice. So far.....
So what are the camp activites, and could someone please include me in their POV's.

So I finally arived at my cabin and thank God I was the first there because I really don't feel like having meet'n'greet moment, so I chose my bunk put all my stuff where it needed to be, than I sat down and started thinking, and looking at the small little paper that the counsiler gave me, "man, I said, this is going to be a long summer" I thought. So I just got up and start walking around. Okay, Some of my cabinmates needs to make their POV'S

"Bye mom and dad!" I shout to my parents as the drive out of pine lake camp. I sighed. I have to spend all summer long here against my will. My parents got 4 free tickets on a cruse ship in the Caribbean. Out of the four tickets none were meant for me. So they decided to dump me here for the summer. I look around and see other girls going to there cabins. There was a lady checking person in so I told her my name and she said I was in cabin 3 with other girls Adara, Lulu, and Julianna.
I dragged my duffle bag to my cabin. I had like 25 big books in there that I would probably finish in a month. I hope there is a library here. I walk in the cabin to see others in there so I settle in the bottom bunk on one wall. Then....

I swam for n hour and a half, slipped on some jean shorts over my bikini, then headed in to my cabin. Still empty. I went into the bathroom, took a shower, and changed into a striped tank top and jean shorts with sunglasses. After drying my hair, I walked out to see a girl sitting on the other top bunk of the cabin, filing her nails. "Hi, I'm Emily. What's your name?" she said. She jumped off the top bunk, and I saw she was wearing a yellow flowery sundress and had her hair in slightly messy braids. I walk over to my bag, stuff my clothes inside, grab my wristguard, turn around and say, "I'm Virginia, but you can call me Virginia, VG, Ginger, whatever. I don't care." I head to the door. "Where are you going?" Emily asked. "Archery mats. You wanna come?" "Nah, I was just gonna paint my nails. do you want me to paint yours?" I shake my head. "I'll be back later." I walk over to the archery mats as if I went there every day. After shooting about a hundred arrows, I thought about the time. I probably had been shooting for a couple hours! I pulled out the arrows, put them and the bow back, and ran into the cabin. It was empty once again. I simply sat on my bunk and read for a half-hour when Emily came back in, accompanied by two other girls, who I suspected to be AmandaOrLinsey. "Where have you been?" she asked. "I was about to ask you the same question." I said, not looking up from my novel. "There was a meeting! We told them you weren't with us but they just said 'Don't worry, she'll turn up somewhere' Can you believe that?" I roll onto my back and nod. "Yep, I can believe it. These are my people. They get me." Even though I'm not looking at her I can tell she rolled her eyes. This was going to be a long vacation.

Lulu's POV
As I walk to my cabin I think hard. I need to make a good first impression. I'm really friendly and all but, I need to make more friends because my two best friends who are Zoe and Ty. They were going to come but then relatives came. So now I'm stuck at camp with total strangers. I tighten my auborn ponytail, brush some dirt off my shorts and straighten my shirt as I walk in to the cabin. I saw to girls reading books. I did like reading....It was just I hated sitting still and I didn't want to be stuck with bookworms (no offense I actually love reading). So I decided maybe they were just bored. I looked at the girl with the curly hair and introduced myself.
"Hi, I'm Lulu what's your name?" I said.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Adara" She said.
"I'm Christine, welcome to cabin 3 " the other girl said.
"Hi Christine, can I have the cabin above yours?" I asked her.
"Sure. There should be one other girl coming she can go under Adara" Christine replied.
Just then another girl walked in. She seemed like a perfect new friend so I said,
"Hello, I'm Lulu this is Adara and Christine. Whats your name?" I asked.
"Hi, I'm Julianna. Sorry I'm late I slept in"She said and blushed.
"That's fine you're not really late there's a bed right there it's yours" I said remebering last year on the first day of school when I came thirty minutes late because I slept in.

When I was down taking a look around the camp I decided to take my book out and read, then I heard a knock on the and came one of the last cabinmates with a big duffle bag and to my courisosity (sorry if I spelt that wrong it's late) I asked her what it was, "Books" she stated and she looked liked she was about to get a herina if i don't help her(Herina is a BIG knot Somewhere in you, and it hurts alot) so I got down off my bunk and started to help her "Thanks" she said, "No prob" I say After that...

i got off the bus and looked around, there was a loge area with picnik tables and a indoor kitchen, there was a path with a sign that said 'pine lake', and an area just in the woods with cabins, a conseler told me i was in cabin 3 i headed over to cabin three, once i got there a girl introuduced her self as lulu and told me the other girls were christine and adara, i took the last bunk and started unpacking, i was relived that all the girls in my cabin were being nice and i was exited for activitys to sart tomorow.

I arrive. I am so thrilled. I find my cabin and friends. We then say bye to are parents and say hello to fun. I found my consuler and we go to sing and play games. We eat dinner then go to campfire. Then we go to are cabin and go to sleep. I am so anxious to see tomarrows activitys.

Heres mine*Katie* I kissed my Mom GoodBye And ran out the Door.I Headed For the bus i walked on and Saw my Friends*Audrey,Cea,Juliana,Meg* Meg waved at me a Said What Are you waiting For come on sit over here with Us!:D HI Girls whats going on with you Juliana Looked at Me then When we were Have way There She asked Who is it? What?! i asked *i thought she Couldn't see it in my eyes* The Guy She said Oh umm*We got to see each other a lot Before i Started High School Audrey Went to a Different High School But Cea Went to the Same High As Me but we still didn't see Each other a lot Ether But beCause She Moved the Bounderies put her in The Same as Adurey i have other Friends Too. And Meg Was*ish* My Little Sisters Friends But She Hangs Out with Me More Her Mom Just thinks shes Coming For My Sister* His Name IS Jake From My High then the Bus Stopped and i saw a Sign that Said PINE LAKE CAMP we walked off the Bus and lined up When i Call out your Name Come Here Said A Lady in Her 20's.Cabin1........... Cabin2 Katie Hill,Ashley Swift,Cea ,Audrey Bolten, i Stepped forward i she Pointed To Cabin 2 It was Pink and Purple and Some other Colors i started Heading that way i Picked up My Pink Suit Case when i walked in it was all Nice and Spotless it smelled like purfume and there were Matresses on Each Bunk *4 Bunks*i Took a top on one and Each Girl Had a walk in Closet i Picked one and Put all my Clothes in it When Audrey Looked Surprised to see all this Stuff Then She asked is this from you Not all of it I said But some yes then Ashley walked in And She Started Jumping Up And Down she just loved all of it cea walked in Next and looked as Surprised as Audrey They Never Got to Use Cabin 2 Before i have this is my 3 time but its UpGraded Every year But i Get it with Different Girls for The Past 3 years and they Split Girls Up By a Computer so ive Just Been Lucky for the Past 3 Years to Get it. i Put all my Stuff away We ate Dinner and Went To Sleep.~Katie Love It?
