Ok, I just want to make 1 thing clear. I do not 'Hate' Evan, Jake, Evamys or Jamys. I just think we need a thread where we can make our arguments without taking over each other's threads.
I'm Audrey. Nice to meet you. I'm an Amian. Here are some points that I wish to make about Evan:
1. Why would the authors add Evan to the story in the first place? If they wanted to create tension between Ian+Amy, they could have just used Jake. They didn't have to add him unless he plays a bigger role in the story than Amy's boyfriend. Think about it! WHY IS HE HERE?
2. Evan is supposed to be a nerd. In TDON, he slippes up and uses incorrect grammar. It is Sinead and I. Evan said: Me and Sinead. So, is he just posing as a nerd? If he was that smart and nerdy and everything, he would have that so stamped into his brain that he would never make that mistake. Right?
3. Evan just popped up in the second series. They didn't even mention him in the first series. We know so little about him, while we know everything about Ian. So what if Ian is in Argentina? If you have read the Rapid-Fire series, you know that the Vespers are targeting Ian as a possible Vesper recruit. There is no way Ian would betray the Cahills like that. Look at his devotion to them in: Into the Gauntlet. We know that Ian always comes through and sticks with them in the end.
Here's another thing: In 'In Too Deep' (book 6) Shep borrows a plane from a 'Mr. Gregory Tolliver.' What does this mean? Is there a connection? Vesper? No?
What do you think? Ian or Evan?

Since I know very little about Jake...No answer.
Evan, oh Evan. Now I think Evan is sweet, nic, and caring. I have nothing against him it's just... I don't think Amy should be with him. I believe Amy is going through a difficult time and I'm not sure Evan knows how that is. Ian does though. I belive in second chances. Ian should start out as friends. I am for Jake and Amy. Why? Cause:
A. Jake has NEVER betrayed her (unlike Ian)

D. If Cea-Cea (me) has actually started thinking he is best, then he must be!

I'm thinking the same about Evan... He seems too 'perfect' for Amy as well. I prefer Ian, because, yes, he has his faults, but faults make you human!

In Book 7,you get a description of what Ian thinks of her. Its good.
On one card,it's talking about Natlie,and it says"When her brother develops an unexpected crush,I forget the rest of this sentence." It didn't say the forgetting thing though.
Jamy:
Evan OBVIOUSLY dislikes him,which makes him good in my book.
Amy kissed him in TDON.
Jake is HOT in the words of Amy. At least I think she said that.
He definetly isn't a Vesper,because then Atticus would be a Vesper,and he isn't because the poor dude got kidnapped.

I think you have some very good points concerning Evan and Ian, but there are a few things that I feel compelled to comment on.
Evan:
1. He is not a vesper definitely. How do you know? Does the books ever say anything about him being or not being a vesper?
2. He has not, nor will, double cross Amy. Well, I know quite a few people who have been double crossed, and whose to say that he won't?
3. He treats her like the most important girl in the world. Uuhh yeah, but I could do the same thing. It's called ACTING and getting the INFO he needs.
4. Hes putting himself in danger for her. Just like everyone else.
5. Amy actually likes him. As of book 3 of the new series, she actually doesn't seem to care. She kissed Jake right in front of him!
6. He's lieing to his family and friends to help Amy and her brother. A lot of VESPERS lie. What do you have to say about that?
7. He happens to be the only one in the comm. who doesnt have a hostage. Yeah, which makes him a perfect canidate to be a Vesper. Everyone else they have to threaten, but Evan, (or so the Vespers think) they don't need to threaten. Ho hum..
8. He gets along with Saladin. So what? No big deal! Allergies anyone?
9. As Amy puts it, he's adorkable. I really don't approve her choice of boyfriends. He isn't even cute! I mean, REALLY? What does that have to do with anything anyways?
And think of Ian's mother? How many lies did that woman feed him? It takes time to break habits. I mean, really!!!

Of course Jake isn't like Ian! Look at their perspective upbringings! One had a caring mother, and one had a trecherous, slimy, evil person for a mom. Wouldn't that reflect in your personality?

If you've read the story, You obiously know that Ian and Amy is waaaaay not better than Amy and Evan because their love is more forbidden and unexpected.
Which story would you rather read:
Evan wuvs Amy.
Amy wuvs Evan.
They both wuv books and reasearching.
Evan wuvs Amy sooo much he is helping Amy.
Since they wuv each other they get married.

OR
The Orphan tries to get over the Millionare.
Amy thought Ian Kabra loved her, but she was tricked by Ian to get the clue. While tricking her, Ian fell for Amy. Amy is crying, for herself being so stupid and Ian being so mean. Amy and Dan won the clue hunt and got a bunch of $. Isabel disowned Ian. Fiske and Nellie are Amy's guardians. Ian is an orphan. Amy is a millionare. Ian realizes his feelings for Amy now that he isnt under his evil parents control, but Amy already has a boyfriend.
The Orphan tries to get over the millionare.
Yes, The 2nd story is better.

Evan could reconize the Vesper Smartphone and SINEAD, an EKAT, couldn't. Recently a fellow student has brought to my attention that Evan helped them by reconizing the smartphone. Well, how?!?!?!?!?! That smartphone is only found in the CSI. the CSI doesn't give their information out like that. She countered with "Maybe his parents are in the CSI". I said to her "And CSI parents would just let Evan work with Amy without any suspision whatsoever?". She gave me a face that looked like this: 0.0.
Oh and Samantha (my friend's name is Samantha), if you pull the "Ian is a Vesper" card on me I have some comebacks!!!
Arguement: Isabel was a Vesper, therefore Ian is one!
Answer: Not nessissarly, 1st of all, Isabel disowned them. 2nd of all AJT is a Vesper and Amy and Dan aren't!
Arguement: How could Ian find Isabel's stronghold, with his Vesper little brain, that's how!!!!
Answer: No, Ian could reconize his mothers nail polish on the Vesper papers, then he went to AWW headquarters.

Ian: omgosh, people are still Amian???? that's, like, so 2 years ago! They may have worked in the 1 series but now Amy has no feelings for him. Plus, Ian's a sneaky traitor.
Evan: he's sweet, nice, caring...but he's also a minor character; Amy's feelings for him are slowly slipping away from him and leaning towards:
Jake: they have this "I won't say I'm in love" thing. If you read TDON, page 133 is the biggest piece of proof that you'll ever need :D

Ian tried to destroy the serum in the gauntlet. *2 years ago. Right now, he's a sneaky little backstabbing almost-vesper cahill-traitor!
He and Amy kissed in Korea!!! *Yeah; 2 years ago. and it wasn't a kiss. As of March 2012, Jamy is winning.
In Book 7,you get a description of what Ian thinks of her. Its good. *So? It also says in book 7 that Amy's ♥ didn't belong to Ian at all anymore.
On one card,it's talking about Natlie,and it says"When her brother develops an unexpected crush,I forget the rest of this sentence." It didn't say the forgetting thing though. *Let me say something: Ian may have feelings for Amy, but Amy does have feelings for him.

Personally, I could care less.
But since you asked… I guess I am an Evamy.
Here are my reasons:
1) What girl doesn't want a boyfriend who loves her, protects her, lies to his family for her, saves her and her brother's life, and gets along with her beloved cat?????
2) Based on the way Amy first decribed him, he seems perfect.
And what girl doesn't want a perfect boyfriend?????
3) He hasn't done anything to hurt her yet.
In AKR, he could've let them die in the library, but he didn't.
4) If a dude gets along with a cat that doesn't really like everybody (cats and dogs are prone to liking good humans, if they're not trained to follow an evil master), the dude's obviously not bad.
5) He has a good sense of humor.
Personally, I think guys with a good sense of humor are the best.
6) In TMP, he stood in front of her and tried to save her life instead of helping the Vespers kidnap Amy and Dan.
If you disagree with me, I don't really care.
I agree with Katelin; let Amy chose who she wants to be with.
It's her decision, not ours.

I'm a major Amian fan.
Here are my reasons why I hate Evan:
1) What the heck are coke bottle glasses? He looks really stupid.
2) AMY SHOULD BE WITH IAN! HE GETS IN THE WAY OF AMIAN!
3) He insulted Ian. "Snooty Accent" Yeah, right. Ian is the one with the snooty accent. The sound of Evan's voice makes me want to puke.
4) He is a stalker! He tried to break into Amy's house because she wouldn't call him! Are you KIDDING me? Obsessive much?
5) He is A VESPER SPY!
His favorite movie is High School Musical 2! ..................................... I have no idea what to say on that one. I don't think a 16 year old guy would like HSM2.
He just seems so suspicious. I mean- standing outside Amy's house looking through the gate seeing if she's there? When she tells you she will be gone for awhile you still go to the house and try to break in to see if she's there? No way, I'm not buying that. It just seems so creepy and clingy that it can't be true.
Plus, how could he know about a top secret government phone that not even Sinead knows about? And when he was going to call the police? Maybe he wants to get them in trouble to screw up their mission. And why would a dorky, clueless boyfriend enter the Cahill world so willingly when he knows nothing about it and says he wants to protect his girlfriend? Again- really? I'm not buying that.
He doesn't know anything about the Cahills. He is a liability. He can't go around putting top secret info on the message boards. And why is he so quick to excuse Ian of being a bad guy? Hmm......
