Today is the day. Children cry. Teens get sent to there death. Just normal reaping day. I get in a green dress with normal everyday shoes. I dont much care about looks. I am beatutiful on the inside. My boyfriend Donny disagrees. He say I am beautiful on the inside and outside. I walk downstairs knowing tonight one of the girls and boys in my school will be draged of to the capitol. I see my mother taking care of my baby brother. "Hi mom. Good morning Enzo." I say. Befor walking to the door. My mom siad right befor I could make it out the door "Wait come over here." I did what I was told. as alwats. I felt the dress up agenst me as I walked. It was too bigfor my small figure. "You look beautiful." she said Handing me a locket. On one side it was empty and on the other it had a picture of Enzo. "Thakyou" I said befor walking out the door. Reaoing day was still two hours away. I had time to see Donny. There was a small note on the porch. It was from him. Meet me up at our favorite hangout spot. I knew where that was. It was by the power genarators. There it was quiet and peaceful. Unlike most areas. It was only a ten minute walk from my house.
When I got there Donny was smileing. His floppy gloden brown hiar was neatly combed back. his green eyes shining. "Hello Jenna." he said. While pulling me in for a hug. I huged back

Donny was the one person i can let my emotions out to. For the next hour in a half we talked. About the games. Who we think will go in. We think Grechen will go in. She has twenty diffrent terenses each year. It's amazing she hasn't gone in. She is seventeen now. "Why do we have to have the games?" I blurt out "I mean we all know the careers are the only ones who win." He lookes at me "I know. It's sick." i thought out loud. "What would you do If i got chosen?" He looked at me "I would not be able to live." I knew he wasn't lying. He meant it. "Oh look at the time." i said. We can always tell the time by looking at the plant. The way it glows just lets us know. We start walking. I think of Gretchen. She was so nice. She did all those teressenes for the familys with only one kid and then for her family. I don't know how the town would get by if she was in. When we got to the square they play the video. Everybody looks grim. i don't expect anything else. I never do. By the time the video is over our esocort, Sally, is speaking "Welcome all," her distinct capitol acsent torchuring our ears "The time has come for the anual Hunger Games! Now ladies first." She said walking twords the ladys glass bowl. He hand slowly moving back and forth untill she finds the one she wants. He hand dramaticly comes out. Everybodly looks at Grechen. "Jenna Livafen!" she said. It was actulaly me. I walked up slowly. She called the boy. "Jason Heller." I saw him. he was only twelve and going into a death games. We shake hands and turn to the crowed.

The shocked look on my face doesn't go away the slightest bit. In fact I can't move. I feel the cold hand of a Peace Keeper on my arm. It is cold. It is probably because they have hearts of ice and they're cold blooded. They drag me away to go say goodbye. This could be the last time I see Donny or Enzo or Mom. The room the drag me in is luxurious. Velvet seats, painted walls. They open the door and Donny comes in. He imeadatly hugs me. I see a tear come down his face. "you have to win. For me." He says. "I will." I said uncertant if I was telling the truth. I saw the monster that came out of the career districts. I looked at him and he was sliding a picture of himself in the locket. "I love you." He said befor the peace keepers draged him away.Now I know he loves me and I would never be able to say it back. My mom came runing in with Enzo. Enzo giggled. He was a baby so he had no idea of what was going on. I smiled at him and for the next two minutes. When the Peace Keepers guide her out I just stood there thinking what have I gotten into. Will Enzo even remember he has a big sister. I think that beforethe unthinkable happens.

(Srry it took so long to post)
I felt it. Sharp, but it didn't hurt. I could feel the poison spreading through my veins. I noticed it was shot by the 'Peace keeper' only he wasn't a peace keeper. I reconised him from the news. He had started uprisings in the past but why did he shoot me. It wasn't a bullet just a small syringe filled with poision. He was by my side. The piosion rushed to my brain, I could baerly make out the words he was saying but I maneged "It's beeter this way. This will not be the slow painfull death the capitol has planned for you." He was right. This was way better than being slaughtered by a sword or stabbed by a spear. My eyes felt heavy. I fougt to keep them open but it was no use. I was gone.
