What's up? Soooooooooo I'm here minding my own business and then I get a great idea: What if Ian stayed in my house for a unknown reason. Then it hit me! Why not make a story about it? So here it is:

Monica's P.O.V:
"Monica! Wait up!" Kia, my best friend since kindergarten, said as she catched up to me. "Hey Kia, Are you ready to get your brain working?" I teased. Five minutes ago I got out of the school grounds, relived I didn't run in to Kristy Swallows (fake name).
Kristy is one of the most popular girls in the grade, even though she was ranked cutest girl in the grade doesn't mean she had to show it off. "I can't believe Mr Rezzo is making us complete a assignment in just one week! It's not possible!" she complained.
"If you can make our principle smile then you can do the assignment." I assured her. "The principle doesn't even know me!" she took a deep breathe and started humming to herself. We came up to a house with a white fence with purple roses coming for the bottom of each plank. I opened the gate and let us in the house.
"Mum where home!" I declared. "hey Mrs F!" Kia called. I looked around my surroundings. Cream coloured walls with photos hanging, the smell of violets filled the air, and then there’s the bag, the bag that hasn't moved since my father’s funeral.
"Hello girls, Can you come here for a minute? I want you to meet someone." my mother’s voice echoed from the kitchen. We walked to the kitchen to find a boy sitting at the dining table. He looks familiar I thought. "hey dear, this is Ian. He is new around here," she said with a warm smile. "Ian, this is my daughter, Monica, and her friend Kia." she introduced us.
"Hello girls, Nice to meet you." Ian said in a British accent. British? I know this guy! But where? I thought. "Nice to meet you too, umm we have some homework we have to get started on." I said nervously. "Ok you two can do that and i will bring in some afternoon tea soon." mum said.
We walked into the living room and flopped on the couch. "Hey! isn't that guy from those books you showed me?" Kia asked, taking off her school bag. What books? OH MY GOD! "That can't be possible! The 39 Clues isn't suspend to be real!" I whispered as I grabbed my laptop out from my school bag.
I logged in to my user and waited for the internet to load up. Once loaded I typed in Ian Kabra into Google images. It came up with pictures of a British guy with amber eyes and a pink cashmere (sp?) sweater. "That’s him," Kia exclaimed. "It's the same dude!" If that's Ian Kabra then what is he doing my house?
I went to the 39 clues address and clicked search. Once the website loaded I logged in and clicked new topic straight away. I wrote Ian Kabra is in my house!!! in the Post Subject box. "Don't you think making a thread is a bit extreme?" Kia asked looking over my shoulder. "No, not at all." I said.
My usual message board routine, text colour: Black. Text size: 5(18pt). Font family: Book Antique. Then I typed in the post Body box:
Hey everyone! Yeah ummm as the title says, THE Ian Kabra is in my house right now! NO JOKE! What do I do? I don't know how long he has been here but I swear it's him! If this is the real Ian Kabra then that means that the 39 clues is real!
Once I finished I clicked the Submit button and it brought me to the Your message is now awaiting in a moderation queue page. I clicked the Back to Message Board link and took a deep breathe. I didn't realize that Ian had stepped in the room. "Hello girls." he said again. I jumped at the voice. "H-hello Ian." I said. "Hey buddy!" Kia said in her evil way. "Time to get started on maths!" I quickly announced.

Things get interesting soon...
Monica's P.O.V:
"See! One hundred times one hundred is ONE THOUSAND!" Kia said shoving the scientific calculator in my face. Man who knew trying to stay calm could be so easy? I thought. "Well excuse me for pressing the wrong button!" I said. I felt our guest’s eyes on me.
Time to check the message board I thought as I reached for my laptop which was behind me. I clicked the mouse on top of the refresh icon then the screen went white then back to the message board. I scrolled down a bit to find my thread in the sticked section of the board. "What the-?" I said in astonishment.
I looked at the replied section to find 756 replies waiting for me. It's only been 15 minutes and there are 756 replies! Something must be up! But how is that possible? My post had to go throw the moderating queue! That usually takes half a day, if not more! I clicked on the link and instantly the thread popped up.
The first reply read:
This has got to be a joke! The 39 Clues isn't real! It's made up for goodness sake!
The next:
Why on Earth are you lying like this?! EVERYONE knows the books are just made up.... Right?
I was sick of all the people saying I was lying so i scrolled faster and came to a very familiar agent name: CobraAzure40. Eliana!
Her reply read:
Come on everyone! Give the girl a break! @ Monica- Is it true? Is he really there?
I smiled at the first part. "Wow. You sure have a lot of haters" Kia joked looking over my shoulder again. "Har- har- har, Very funny Kia." I said sarcastically. Kia turned to our guest and gave me an evil smile. "Soooo Ian, how long will you be staying here for?" Kia asked.
I turned to look at Ian. He hesitated but managed to keep his cool. "A few days I think" he said keeping the same tone. I looked back at my laptop and went through five pages. Near the end of the sixth page another agent name caught my eye: Admin Gavin B.
His reply read:
Agent Aquabutterfly969, Who you see in your house in no stranger. Yes, that's right, it is the Ian Kabra. We have been trying to keep this a secret for as long as possible. You and a few others have been chosen to help him on a secret mission... unfortunately; it's not really a secret anymore. You will under go training over the next week and then you will be taken to a top secret hiding place to prepare for the mission. Good luck agent.
'Good luck'? "Thanks Gavin" I muttered. "Monica, dearly, I have to go get a couple things from the shops. Will you be alright here with Ian and Kia?" mother called. "Yeah we will be fine, go ahead." I replied. "Ok, if you get hungry you can make your world famous chocolate milkshake" she announced.
Best words I have heard all day! I thought. I heard the front door open and shut, letting the cold air in the toasty house. I scrolled down on the laptop once more to see another familiar agent name: Peter Lerangis!
The reply read:
Well THAT is what I call the element of surprise! Aquabutterfly969, looks like you get to see first hand what the Ian I-wear-a-pink-sweater Kabra does. (Sorry Ian, I had to type it!) Make sure you are careful with what you say... you won't like what he can do. Good luck! You will need it.
GREAT! Now even Peter Lerangis knows! Time for some questions....

Hello everyone! I am Gordon, Monica's older brother. I will be writing with her on this story. I better get started!

I sit my laptop on the chair opposite me, clear my throat and said, "So Ian, do you have any brothers or sisters?" With out a moment hesitation he replied, "Yes, one little sister named Natalie." I felt Kia tap my shoulder. Kia is new to the books so I have been trying to fill her in on everything without giving her any spoilers.
"What are you doing here, Ian Kabra?" I demanded. He let out a sigh as he walked towards me. "I see you are familiar with the books, which means you are familiar with the vespers, yes?" he asked. I nodded in response.
"Well, you among a few others have been selected to take part in a very important mission." he announced. I heard Kia gasp in the background. "But why me? Surely there are other agents worthy of helping." I complained. He just stood in the middle of the room shaking his said in disappointment.
"Monica, you talk as if you think of yourself as a failure when you should be thinking of yourself as a worrier. I chose you because you see the world in a different light than most others." he noted. "I do not!" I protested. "Actually, yes you do," Kia pipped in. In what way do I see the world in a different light? I asked myself. "If I were to tell Kristy that she is stupid you would say that everyone is stupid in a way."
"ok I get your point. But why now?" I was determined to win this battle. "That question can't be answered because we don't know. All we know is that we have to get a small group together to help us," he said as he shook his head again "anyway I also chose you because you have a lot of talent in different areas of work so I thought that would be an advantage."
I stared into his amber eyes, the ones a lot of girls dream of seeing. Why did this have to happen to me? I can't compete with a Lucian! After a few minutes I made my decision. "Fine! I'll help. As long as I don't get to go to school" I challenged. It took Ian a few moments to think "deal." he said as we shook hands.
"Ahem!" Kia said making her self known again. "and if Kia comes along with us." I said with puppy eyes. No one can resist my puppy eyes, not even if they tried there hardest. His serious expression turned into a picture perfect smile "Ok, maybe she can teach more about the Cahill family as we go." he finally allowed. Kia got up and did her crazy happy dance.
There is only one more question to be asked. "So... when do we start this training?" I asked. "First thing tomorrow morning" Ian replied.

Interesting... Ok cool I think I know what I'll write next!
Ian's P.O.V:
"Gimme the phone or fear the evil from within!" Hydra, a fellow Lucian demanded. With a sigh I said "Hydra, I know you are from the Lucian branch but try to make it less detectable. Kia, give Hydra the phone and you will be fine." I ordered. Why did Amy have to make us do this? I thought.
Kia handed Hydra the phone and knocked Monica in the process. She shot up immediately looking around. "What? What happened?" she asked. Everyone started laughing, even I was trying to keep a chuckled down. "My bad" she said sinking in to her seat.
"I didn't know you were sleeping, I thought you were staring out the window." Rose, an Ekaterina agent exclaimed. "Me too" "Me three" "me four" Madeliene, Alice, Katherine pipped in. "are we there yet?" Hydra asked obviously bored. "We should be arriving at our destination in five minutes." I assured them all.
I heard Alice giggle and then a throw a fake spider in Monica's hair. "AHH get it off! Get it off! GET IT OFF!" Monica screamed, as she shacked her head furiously. "Dude, calm down! It’s just a fake!" Kia said pointing at the black spider. "Ian!" she complained. "Monica, to be in the game you have to control it." I said.
"What the heck was that supposed to mean!" She complained. The car came to a sudden Holt and the driver said, "Ok kids, have a good time." We all got out of the car and headed for the waterfall. (I bet your think 'a waterfall?') It took us another five minutes to get to the sparkling waterfall wall. "Whoa! This is like heaven!" This is going to be a long session.
...half an hour later...
"Ok everyone gather in." I instructed. They all came and sat down in a small circle, waiting. "I know you are probably tired but I have one more challenge," as soon as they heard the word 'challenge' they all ground, accept Monica. She definitely is different from the others. Unique.
"What’s the problem with challenges? Life is full of them! Anyway, Hamilton has asked me to do this challenge. All you have to do is balance yourselves on one leg on those rocks over there." I explained gesturing my hand to my left were big boulders stood by the waterfall. They all looked towards the big rocks to find another agent waiting to be seen.
"ELIANA!" Rose screamed in happiness. She got up quicker than light and ran towards the girl, with Monica close behind. Hamilton was right, this will be fun I thought. "Come on everyone lets go witness this reunion" I chuckled.

Ian's P.O.V:
"Ok everyone step on a rock and we will see who the balancing champion is." I instructed. All seven agents stepped on a boulder and waited. "Before we start... there is someone I would like you to meet." I said turning to the trees on the far right side. A buff guy, with a white T-shirt and three-quarter pants jogged up beside me.
"Hey guys! I'm--" the guy said "HAMILTON!" Eliana screamed. "Ooookay, Yes, I am Hamilton Holt but you can call me Hammer or Ham." he introduce himself. "Ok Ham, remember what we planned?" I asked, anxious to get started. "yep!" he answered walking up to the rocks. Once in place he nodded.
"Ok so as I said, all you have to do is balance on one leg. The last one standing is the winner. Ready? GO!" I said. This will be interesting to see who is smart enough to figure out my test I thought. They all stood there on one leg... for now.
...10 minutes later...
"so, how long was this suppose to go for?" Rose asked. No one has done anything so I think it's time to shake things up. I gave a nodded to Hamilton and he stepped on a little button on the rock he was on. "What the heck is going on?!" Hydra asked confused. Miner screams started to fill the air as the contestants failed to keep there balance.
Katherine, Eliana, Madeliene and Rose fell off there rocks one after the other. Which left Hydra, Alice and Monica to struggle. "Come one girl! Four down and three to go!" Hamilton teased. "Hamilton, when I get off this thing be ready to run!" Hydra threatened. Hamilton just laughed not knowing what branch he was dealing with.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Monica leaning on the big rocky wall. That's what I wanted! I thought. Hydra fell off her rock followed by a grunt as she hit the ground. Two girls left, Monica had managed to find a way of keeping stable and Alice followed. Ten more minutes went by and nothing happened. Time to stop I thought.
"Ham!" I ordered. He nodded and stood on the button again. The rocks stopped immediately and Alice and Monica jumped off. "Wow that was an experience I certainly don't want to have again." Alice smiled a crooked smile. "I think I’m going to be sick" Monica complained pretending to puke.
If happy every after did exist. I would still be holding you like this. All those fairytales are full of it. One more stupid love song, I'll be sick. Monica's ring tone went off. She got her phone out of her pocket and looked at the screen. She made a face... not sure what kind.
She sighed and answered. "What do you want?" she asked in an annoyed tone. Everyone was listening in now. "Oh Gordon, there is no reason for you to lie like that!" she snapped. "But that's not possible! She couldn't be!" she started to sob. "What’s up with Monica?" Hamilton asked.
Kia shrugged her shoulders as she got up and walked over to Monica's bag, where she kept her writing book and pens. Got a book and a pencil then went and sat herself next to Monica, who was nearly in tears. She scribbled something on a page and handed it to Monica. "How long have you been there?" she asked in the phone.
Monica read the note and wrote something on the page. Kia read it then handed it to me.
Monica, are you ok?
Gordon says that mother was murdered!
I'm guessing the vespers?
This is not good I thought. "Oh man! I knew this wasn't a good idea!" Hamilton exclaimed catching sight of the note. "Ok, we should be back soon." Monica ended the call. "Come on, I think we better go" I said getting up from the tree log.
... forty-five minutes later... Monica's P.O.V...
We came up to an old, white door. A boy with short, light brown hair, brown eyes, no higher then Ian was sitting on the porch steps waiting. "Monica!" he exclaimed. "Gordon? I it true?" I asked, not interested in seeing him. "Afraid so, When I arrived it was already too late." he said ashamed. I can't stand all this non sense!
"Sorry, it's just..." I went off track as I looked through the window. I quickly opened the front door and ran to where the bag used to be. They all followed me in the house. "Gordon? You didn't happen to move father’s bag did you?" I asked suddenly scared. "No, I thought mum moved it ages ago." he replied.
"Every time she tried she would break down so no. and I couldn't even look at it with crying every time." I explained. I searched franticly for the bag. After a couple minutes I found it on the floor in the dining room. I ran over to it and picked it up. I felt like he was there, right next to me.
I knew it wasn't real but it definitely felt like it. As a tear slid down my cheek I felt someone come from behind me. "It's ok Monica." Ian assured me. I looked in side the bag that hasn't been touch in three years. There were a few pens, a sketch book, journal and some pictures. There was something else... Oh my gosh!
A stream of tears formed on my cheeks now. I took out a drawing that I gave dad when I was only five-years-old. In the drawing there was mum, dad, Gordon, me. I remember this! I thought. I held it close to my heart, the memories we had. Something in the journal caught my eye. A letter!
To my dearest darling daughter Monica,
I am sorry I never got to tell you about the hunt, about our family.
I am sorry for not being around as much as I should have been.
I am sorry for not being a good father.
What I must tell you is that there is a big threat to our family,
there coming and coming fast.
Two more things: Be safe and I love you.

With Monica trying to work out how long the letter has been in her fathers journal, the rest of us have had nothing to do. Monica let us on her laptop to see if anyone can help us on the MB.
"whose account are we going on?" Katherine asked. "I think we should stay on Monica's... for now at least." Alice suggested. We all nodded in agreement. I pressed the F5 button on the key board which refreshed the page instantly.
The first thread I saw wasn't from any of the mods or authors, oh no, it was someone much more terrifying; Vesper One. We all gasped as we saw the name. I clicked on the thread and waited for the page to load.
Cahill's,
Once upon a time there was a big family divided up into five branches (yes, we found out your little secret). They thought they were the most powerful family in the world... until we came along. Here is the turning point in this story; I have ordered Amy and Dan to recruit some of your top agents to help in a... lets say challenge. Who ever wins will get the prise. Let’s just hope for your sake that none of our guests try anything.

"Girls," Hamilton chuckled walking towards the front door. As soon as he got to the door he started laughing. "What’s so funny?" Hydra asked sounding annoyed. Hamilton opened the door still laughing. "Come on in girls," he managed to speak. With in a few seconds two new girls stood staring at us.
One of the girls had long, dark, straight red hair in a side ponytail, forest green eyes, a body of a gymnast, two wrist bracelets, and pink lip-gloss and wore a top and shorts. She looks pretty! I thought. The girl next to her had long, brown, curly hair, 5'2, greenish-blue eyes, three-quarter pants and a 'ready to go' top. Wow! I thought.
"What is with all the girls?!" Hamilton suddenly realized. "Amy said we cover the girls and Sinead and Evan cover the boys" Ian replied rolling his eyes. "You got a problem with that?" Hydra asked in a cold tone. I looked around to see surprised faces. "Hydra, Ian is in your branch which means you two should be best friends!" I snapped.
"Right! Now, girls make your self a home and sit," Monica ordered gesturing her hand towards the couches. "You two boys." We all sat leaving an akaward silent in the air. I looked around the room and stopped at Katherine, who looked like she was about to say something but changed her mind. "I'm Katherine, this is Madeliene, Rose, Alice, Hydra and Kia." she said introducing everyone to the new girls as she went along the seats.
"I'm Katie" the girl with the long red hair announced. "I'm Alyssa" the girl with long curly hair followed. "Hello, Ok so does anyone want a drink?" Monica asked standing up. Everyone but Ian nodded. "Water?" they all asked at the same time. "That’s ten glasses" she said walking away. I never knew this would be so... so awkward! I realized. "Ouch! You are so lucky I wasn't carrying anything!" Monica shrieked.
Ian go up from his seat and made his way to where the laptop was left. "What’s up bro?" Hamilton asked. Ian tapped away on the keyboard. "There is only nine when there should be ten. I'm checking if Amy messaged me saying if anything changed." Ian replied. "Here we go," he announced. My head popped up.
What had happened? "I am a fellow Lucian. My agent name is Zoogre," Ian read out. “I will be the one you contact if you need help with anything, Zoogre out." "Ok at least we know we have everyone. We need to work out a plan" Hamilton authorized. "Ok everyone huddle up! Monica get in here!" Ian said.

Rose, Alice Crest, Hydra, Katherine, Kia and I are all equally different in our own way but when where nervous it shows the same. "Umm who is it?" Monica squeaked.
