" Mum... He's not my friend."
"Oh yeah? Then who is he? You can't have made enemies at a school so fast!"
" Mum, I've been studying at Kirin for a year! It's plenty of time to-No, he's not my enemy, he's my schoolmate." I lied through my teeth and silently rolled my eyes.
" Explain something to me, young lady, or you're grounded from going back to Kirin."
"Explain what!? There's nothing to explain! He's my schoolmate!" I yelled, clenching my hands into fists.
" I wouldn't bet on it. Why would your schoolmate lie to me!?" my mother yelled back. But I was not one to back down.
" Who cares? He was lying, okay? End of conversation!" I was fuming mad at my mother right now.
" You're grounded."
" What!? The bus is already here! It-you can't ground me now!"
" You. Are. Grounded." my mother stated simply, pointing to my room.
" Who cares what you say any more, old lady!? Who's the one who has to work around the clock during my HOLIDAYS!" I slapped my mother, and her cheeks flushed red.
" How dare you slap your-" she was cut off by the impatient honking of the bus driver.
" I guess I'll be going, then." I turned on my heel and strode into the bus without a second glance at my mother.
" Mum... He's not my friend."

I muttered an apology to the bus driver, Paul as I stumbled towards the back seat. To my suprise, a girl was already sitting in the seat beside it. I vaguely recgonized her from my classes. If my memory served me, her name was Dazzel. She was basically one of the flirtiest girls in the school. She stared at me until I rudely blurted out," What the *bleep* are you looking at!?" She scowled and moved over for me to sit down. I scanned the crowd, looking for any familiar faces, or people I might get along with. I recgonized one of my best friends, Eric. I also recgonized Emmy, she was in 9th grade. I also recgonized Amanda fire and Madz. I also recgonized Emily Sailor, another good friend. I couldn't stop myself from frowning as all the newbies looked boring.

" Finally! Back at Kirin!" Dazzel smiled and twirled around. I rolled my eyes and gave her a punch on the shoulder.
" Hey. It's good to be back, yeah?" Eric came out from behind me and linked his arms with mine. I smiled.
" Yeah," I smiled and looked forward to meeting the rest of my friends. The only thing that put me off was meeting Zachary. That creep.

I knew where my room was, so I headed towards my room, room 2. Amanda grinned and ran towards our room, saying," Oh yeah, did you know that Dazz likes Jet?" My jaw dropped.
" You are not serious!" how could Dazz- well, perhaps she would fall for him. Jet had girls falling for him every day, and Dazzel would like him...

" Bye, mumsokins! I'm leaving for Kirin!" I smiled, planting a kiss on my mother's cheek. Unlike most girls at my school, I was a 'mummy's girl', as they put it. My mother smiled and waved me off. I was attending Kirin for the second year and I was dead excited. I texted one of my friends, Emmalyn. She didn't reply and I sighed. Maybe she wasn'tr checking her phone number. As I got onto the bus, my eyes popped out and my jaw dropped. There, sitting side by side, were three of the most GORGEOUS boys I had seen! One had jet balck hair, tan skin, and looked like Ian from a book The 39 Clues. Beside him was one of the more popular guys in school, Eric. As usual, he looked perfect and he flashed me a dazzling grin. I felt my cheeks flush and I looked away. Then beside him was Jet. Jet... He looked perfect as usual... I shook my head an dhurried to the back seat, blushing furiously. When we reched Kirin, I gasped. Rushing out of the bus, I spun around on the freshly cut grass and ran along the swept sidewalks. Cris rudely punched me on the shoulder and I winced. Geez, that girl couls packa strong punch even though she didn't mean to. But I knew that. Cris was notorious for her remarkable strength. Well, not just that. But that was one reason. I checked my room number and screamed. Room 4?! That was Eric's room! He came over to me and smiled again. " So excited, huh?" I blushed for the millionth time and giggled. This made up for Emmalyn not answering my texts. Then agian, maybe she was busy...

" And face it. You like her," Eric looked as if he had been slapped in the face.
"I do not like Hydra," he finally said. I rolled my eyes and grinned.
"Yeah, sure you don't like her. I find that so easy to believe," I taunted, laughing. Dazzel strode over to us, flipping her blonde-pink hair over her shoulder.
" Hey, Dazz," Eric flashed Dazzel another mega-watt grin that made her knees almost give way. Eric gasped and reached out, catching her just before she hit the floor. Dazzel blushed and muttered a quick thank you. Eric blushed too and I smiled, saying," Oh, yeah, Dazz, I thought you might like to know that Eric likes Hy-" Eric slammed his hand over my mouth and I bit him hard. " Hydra Robins." Dazzeel turned pale and she smiled faintly, but she couldn't hide her dissapointment. She went to her room and as she was leaving, Eric hit me.

Hannah's pov
It was my first year at a Boarding school. A new start, is what my parents called it. What I called it was, staying at school everyday and all day. It was pure evil. A nerd like me could never fit in any where unless with people who were like me. There is no chance that I'll ever find someone like me. A nerd who watches cartoons and plays video games alot. Someone who too shy to even speak, and keeps her nose in a book. I double checked my room number. My lucky number 39 was now also my room number. I went into the room to find that there were two beds, two dressers, two desks, and two closets. So far it was only me in the room.
It was my first year at a Boarding school. A new start, is what my parents called it. What I called it was, staying at school everyday and all day. It was pure evil. Hydra's POV:
Time to go to my new boarding school, Kirin. I had everything packed. My IPod, Headphones, Laptop, Clothes and my favorite converse/converses, 2 books, everything I need. I closed my bag and carried it downstairs, where nobody was there except for my mother who was taking the plates from the dining table.
"Hey mom. I'm going." I said.
"Okay honey." My mom answered.
She kissed me at the cheek and I walked to the door. I pressed a button and a selection of caps appeared. I grabbed one and wore it. I opened the door and walked to my dad's limo.
"And I still wonder why I'm rich." I said under my breath.
I walked outside the mansion gate and gave my luggage to the luggage man. Or whatever he's called. I walked inside the limo and took my cap out, revealing my hair. Hello Kirin Boarding School.

I pushed open the iron gates, muttering to myself in annoyance. "Stupid piece's of junk." I looked at the school distastefully. This was the last place I want to spend the last years of my life. I trudged into the building, pulling my hood over my face as I did so. A large amount of the students were arriving by bus, but I was only a few miles away. I could walk the distance without problem. I let my gaze drift around the campus. It was a large place, fairly well off and fancy place. I scoffed, shaking my head as I walked. Not the kind of place for someone like me, not a bit. I walked inside, shoving the books I didn’t need into my locker and slamming it shut. The bell rang, signaling the beginning of class, and I frowned. Another day…

Dazzel's POV
Great. eric had another girl. I had known he wouldn't like me all along, but still... The way he had treated me the past few days, as a friend, had made me fall for him and become convinced he liked me back. I should never have thought-" Ring..." the irritating bell rung and I sighed as I made my way to class. First class, horse-back riding. Great. Not.
"stupid horse! STop it!" my horse was misbehaving as It reared around, trying to spin me off it. Cris came riding over on one of her many horses and frowned.
"Need some help?" she asked, patting Twinkle.(my horse) I shot her a glare if looks could kill but she barely flinched. Of course. Cris never flinched or showed any sign of fear.
" You weren't that helpful with Eric," I frowned, pushing her hand off Twinkle. She laughed and didn't even have the manners to aplogize. Instead, she shook her head, smiling from ear to ear as she rode off, leaving Twinkle quiet and happy all of a sudden. I knew Cris meant no harm, but still, it hurt. Our teacher, Mr Conner, informed the class of an upcoming competetion coming up in a months time. He owuld choose a few pupils to take part. As we all demonstrated our ablities on our horses one by one in private, he would make a list. After rididng, when all of us were bathing, he was pinning up the list in the hallway.
When we all trooped out, we stared at the list:
Cross- country
Cris Grey. ( Well, of course. SHe was top for most things.)
Hydra Robins. ( Eric liked her...)
Dazzel Pierce. (That was suprissing)
Montego. (Boy was he hot!!!)Ashlyn Carter. ( Never herad of her)
Emmalyn Donavan. ( Cris's friend)
Racing.
Cris Grey. (Agian?)

Allison Payne. ( Bumped into her once or twice)
Anna Gilmore. ( Heard of her)

Eric's POV
After horse-riding, I was tired out and really glad when Cris and Madeliene came over. I knew Madz's name as Cris had told me earlier. Well, Cris knew every new student and never seemed to make enemies. Except for Zachary and his gang. They were all stuck up and snobbish, and that brought out the worst in Cris. She had put her pet bee in Zac's locker, scaring him half to death. Zac had a gang of five, their names were:
Zach, aka Sizzle. ( he gave himself the name.)
Jack, aka JJ.
Pardip, aka Muscle.
Kayjer, aka Wassup.
and Fritey, aka Chiezx.
They all had dumb names, and were concieted and dumb. Cris had 'hate at first sight' and went out of her way to hurt them. Zach had never beem brave enough to tell the principal that he fought with her, as he knew the principal would say," And you aren't strong enough to take care of a girl 5 years younger than you?" and he would be embarassed.
" Er-er! Were you even *bleep*ing listening?" Cris asked, hands on her hips. I frowned.
" er... Yeah, I was." I lied and hoped she wouldn't notice. No such luck.
" Right, and I am Queen Of England." I frowned again and smiled at the floor.
" Dazz wanted me to pass you this." I looked at her hand. A CD.

I had lied to my soccer coach that I had a stomachache and was now in my rroom listening to my CD:
" Hey. Eric. It's- It's Dazz. Dazzel Pierce. Your friend. I just wanna ask you, do you- Never mind. Anyway, I'm recording this in our room now. And I thought you might want to know that I dyed all my hair creamy pink, you know, have a change of colour? Yeah. Mr- Err- Never mind. The teachers freaked. I thought so, but yeah... By any chance can you talk to Jet and- Never mind. Ask him, you know, about me. Whetehr he notices me? Thanks... And I dyed my hair because... Because of Jet. I'm obsessed, ya know? Controlled. By him. Yeah, and thanks... Do you- Bye."
I stared at the computer screen and opened a tab and went on facebook. Suprisingly, Jet was online:
Me: Hey J.
Jet: Oh hi Er.
M: You bunk'n off 'gain?
J: Duh.
M: Theyll find ya.
J: so?
M: Sooner or later.
J: Who cares
M: Dazz asks whetheer you remember her?
J: yup
M: thanks.
J: why?
M: she asked. She loves ya.
J: what?!
M: i no right?
J: Gonna go for cls. bye.
M: bye.

I was still dumbfounded by what Dazz had said. And dyed her hair pink? Normal, for Dazz. But the message had left me confused and hurt. Didn't she realize I was in a tight spot? I liked both her, Cris and Hydra. Probably Cris and Hydra were on top, though. They were cool. Well, Cris was anyway. Hydra seemed nice. Cris liked her, so how bad could she be? But I knew Cris would kill me if I told her I liked her as more than a friend. And I barely knew Hydra. But Dazz was a bit... Weird. Especially after she dyed her hair pink. It freaked me out.
" And I thought where you were." Cris muttered, plopping down beside me on my bed. I jumped and smiled. She looked more beautiful tahn ever. Unlike Dazz, she never used make up but managed to stay beautiful. " Gorgeous, in fact." I clamped a hand over my motuh but Cris had heard. She frowned and asked, " What?" I shook my head and said," Hydra is gorgeous, in fact."

2 Vice Leaders: Hydra Robins( wow), and Montego.
9 team mates: Dazzel Pierce, Amanda Fire, Eric Roudigrez, Ashlyn Carter, Emmalyn Donavan, Anna Gilmore, Madeliene Rapid, Hannah Cahill, Emily. Back-ups: Allison Payne, Sobokuna Hato, Livie Trindie, Emily Sailor, Misty Cahill, Jacki Loh.
All team members have to do training every day for 2 hours. Leader and vice leader must train every day for 3 hours. Back-ups will resume lessons as normal.

I was ready for my swimming class and more than a little nervous as I stretched alongside Cris and Livy as we got ready to swim. Our coach, Ms An, had been telling us to swim as well as we could to get a spot in the team. " Beep!" we all got ready to swim. Ms An blew the whistle and every one dived into the water. As I glided, I looked up and realized Livy and Cris were way ahead. I sighed and swam faster, my lungs bursting.

" Great prcactice kids, list will be up after a while." We thanked her and I walked off with Sobokuna as she chatted about how much homeowrk she had.
After I bathed and got changed, I took one look at the list and stood there gawping:
Swimming List, Kirin.
Leader: Amber Grey. ( Cris's cuz)
Vice leaders: Cris Grey and Hydra Robins.
Members: Emmalyn Donavan, Anna Gilmore, Amanda Fire, Emily Sailor, Misty Cahill
Back-ups: Dazzel Pierce, Allison Payne, Sobokuna Hato, Eric Roudigrez.
Leader and vice-leaders, train 4 times a week, 3 hours each time. Members, same as leaders. Please listen to their instructions. Back-ups, lessons as per normal. ( every day, 1 hour each time)

Cris's POV
Swimming class was over, and I was exhausted. Eric had been in sheer shock when he realized he hadn't made the cuts. That served him right for drooling over Hydra and also not practicing. Dazz was also suprsied she hadn't made the team. Served her right as well. Hydra and I exchanged a hi-five and I congragualted my cuz on becoming captain. She smiled and thanked me. I grinned and checked what was my next class.Bowling. I knew that every year, on the first or second day, they would choose the school team, so I was prepared.

" Strike! That was brilliant, Livy!" I exclaimed as she hit yet another strike. It was tough competition between us and everyone else had fallen behind as we scored score after score. People thought we were enemies but we were actually quite close. As I scored a strike, the house went down and Livy and I grinned and went to change.

This year, we have joint captains, Livy Trindie and Cris Grey.
Vice Leader: Hydra Robins
Members: Montego, Dylan Fife, Allison Payne, Sobokuna Hato
Back-ups: Dazzel Pierce,

" I cannot believe I didn't make the list!" Dazzel whined as we walked to our Science class.
" Don't worry, maybe you'll be Nerd Of The Year... Be top of our next lesson!" I nudged her and she scowled.

" And many people..." Our teacher droned on as I drifted back to sleep. Why must there be science? I was half bored- Okay, very, and Dazzel wasn't helping, either. Talking about jazz was all she could do, and I was bored. " I'm going to give out a pop quiz," the teacher continued as I gawped at her. What?

" And the highest marks goes to Jacki Loh, with 100/100! The lowest marks go to... Cris... Grey... with 49/100..." I was still not listening as she handed back the papers. " Please give a round of applause to Jacki as I award him with a science notebook."
