You think Dan is in contact with his *ahem* deceased father? If that's correct, then where's Hope? How did they survive the fire? And how in the world shall we proceed? i, personally, don't think it's possible. if the fire didn't kill them, the smoke would have. Someone impersonating Arthur, absolutely. But the man himself? After 7 years? Highly suspicious, don't you think?

He once was a vesper before he met their mother but I've heard that grace had helped him change from vesper to cahill . My theory is that Arthur isn't v1 but he still has ties to Vespers and Dan is going COMPLETELY OVERBOARD with the idea that his father is a vesper. Amy Can you tell your dim-witted brother that there is nothing to worry about and stop it with the idea of trying to defeat Vesper1 with the 39 clues because Vesper1 Is DAMIEN VESPER OK!

I agree that V-1 isn't Arthur Trent. But, I don't think there is much evidence that it is Damein either. I think that there are bigger areas that should not be over looked....

ARTHUR TRENT ISN'T VESPER 1!!!!!!
First off I don't think it was Vesper one. I think Arthur Trent is Vesper 2 The Shield. Vesper 1 is The Leader. Vesper 3 is the Mole. Using that profile I don't think Arthur Trent is most likely a Vesper, but perhaps not even on the Vesper council. He texted something to Dan about things not always being what they appeared to be. There still leaves the question of why Isabel Kabra went after Hope and Arthur. It could be that Vesper 1 decided to eliminate Arthur Trent because he wanted to leave the Vespers after given the job of spying on Grace Cahill. After all, in one of the cards there was a pretty nasty letter Grace wrote to Mac about him warning them that Arthur was evil. Grace trusted him, and I think she would have warned Amy and Dan that their dad was evil instead of trusting him. Isabel Kabra was sent to finish the job, and somehow he managed to get back into the game. No offense to Tomas branch, but The Shield sounds more like it would be up your alley. I wouldn't suggest you start hunting your down people in your branch, but there could be a traitor revealed in the next book. I think perhaps Vesper 1 is related to Arthur Trent, but not him. It would be easy to get personal information from someone that you pulled from a fire. Vespers sound like they can be pretty convincing some times.
