As the thread title says, I want people to submit their short or long poems. I enjoy writing poems and I want to see what you can come up with. Remember that the poem has to rhyme in grouplets of four, three, or two. Here's mine, for example!
The Hunger Games;
Their all the same;
Full of blood and gore,
But people want more.
What do you think? Your poem could be about anyting. I just picked the Hunger Games 'cause that's the topic most people know! Good luck and, oh, I forget: May the odds be ever be in your favor!!!

down in the medow
where no body goes
lays a war of pain and suffering
a ball of fire takes all its might
to stop the pain
will it win?
Her kids will wonder
Why she goes through so much pain
Take the once evil world for granted
and do not relize where they play.

Okay! This may not be very good, I'm just making it up as I go:
Mockingjay
In Mockingjay,
The Games they play
will finally be over
Prim is dead,
Finnick lost his head,
and Rue no longer
can smell the clover

Crazy Vespers aand Cahills,
Have been known to kill each other,
Now that I know the fact,
I'm running to my mother!!
Why are shadows following?

“Blue Moon”
Shall I compare thee to a blue moon?
Such fleeting love shown only at night,
Only I wish I could hold on to this lune.
Why must you flee in the glow of light?
Only in my dreams, I can reach you,
But no matter how real the dreams
I wake up to reality in the dark hue
To see nothing but the moonbeams.
If I call out to you would you hear,
My voice from the moon’s shadow?
Would you take my hand to tear,
Or would you leave this love sallow?
Shall we gaze back on that scene?
When there was still hope unseen.

oh I love poems especially funny one!
Ok i got one but i didnt make it up ok.
It called:
My teacher ate my homework BY: Kenn Nesbitt
My teacher ate my homework,
Which I thought was rather odd.
He sniffed at it and smiled
with an approving sort of nod.
He took a little nibble --
it's unusual, but true --
then had a somewhat larger bite
and gave a thoughtful chew.
I think he must have liked it,
for he really went to town.
He gobbled it with gusto
and he wolfed the whole thing down.
He licked off all his fingers,
gave a burp and said, "You pass."
I guess that's how they grade you
when you're in a cooking class. Hoped you liked it

My Teacher Took My iPod
My teacher took my iPod.
She said they had a rule;
I couldn't bring it into class
or even to the school.
She said she would return it;
I'd have it back today.
But then she tried my headphones on
and gave a click on Play.
She looked a little startled,
but after just a while
she made sure we were occupied
and cracked a wicked smile.
Her body started swaying.
Her toes began to tap.
She soon was grooving in her seat
and rocking to the rap.
My teacher changed her mind.
She said it's now okay
to bring my iPod into class.
She takes it every day.

I am leaving school today,
I look back through the years,
Of laughter and excitement,
And all the friends i made,
I have been inspired by teachers,
To sing, play the recorder and dance,
And art was a diversion from all the tiring work,
I look back through my years at ******** junior infant school,
And found it an amazing adventure,
Now i look forward to moving on,
Older and wiser i leave.

The Hunger Games
Fear is the only thing I face,
Happiness doesn’t occur in this place.
Every year we take a chance,
To win or face the circumstance.
No one has one in our district in a long time,
Will there be a moment when life will be divine?
My worst fear happens at the reaping,
Prim, my sister is chosen during the evening.
I was certain she won’t be chosen,
Unfortunately, my wish has been broken.
I must protect her from the Game,
So, I volunteer myself to be the exchange.
I hope everything will be alright,
I can’t wait for me and my family to reunite.
