My new school was in love with football.
People hung banners and wore shirts and everything else inbetween.
Personally, it was dumb.
A tall guy ran through the crowd, pushing me down.
"Hey, Watch it! You made me drop my books!"
I yelled.
He turned around laughed.
It was someone I knew for a long time.
Someone I hated.
Hamilton Holt.
"Watch it Ham, ninja best friends don't like Dunces!"
A blonde kid stepped out.
"Hamilton does not let people call him H-A-M. Better watch it, I am not a ninja. Who does she think she is Hamilton?"
By now, everyone was watching.
"You watch it Coleton. This is the one and only Amy Cahill."

"Thanks, Ham. But Dan is. . .in a happier place."
I cried a little then wiped them off.
Hamilton's face fell as he pieced it together.
"He is dead?"
"No, but a Vesper drove him over then he fell off a cliff."
I stomped away to math.
How did I spill?
Nobody should know.
I sat on the bus and felt Hamilton slide next to me.
His arms slid around me as warm tears stainned my face.
"Evan, Ian, Ted, and Natalie are gone."
I whispered as tears came for all of them.
But I didn't tell that I almost died but he spared me because he loved me.

Ham straightened his posture.
I coughed loudly then spoke.

I am back!
"Amy! Amy! Amy!"
Hamilton yelled.
"Dude, Shut up. I don't think that Amy would enjoy you yelling in her face. Give the girl some room and sit in the corner!"
"No, Annie. I'm fine. But I would like Hamilton to sit in the corner."
I said as I opened my eyes and sat up on the couch of Annie's house.
"What happened?"
I asked.
"Vespers. I just got rid of them. Evan is a Vesper."
Hamilton said from the corner.
In the corner was Kelpie's litter box.
I nodded.
But I also remember one other thing before I blacked out.
Hamilton kissed me.
It was another Monday at school.
But this time, we had a assembly.
"Students! We have our kid's choice assembly, where 5 students bring in appropriate videos and pictures."
I heard Principal William's voice from the megaphone as I walked through the doors.
Cass waved me over to a spot in the back next to her and Madeliene.
"Our first video is from Issac Evans about his cat Rocky!"
A cat came on the giant screen meowing and sleeping.
Several videos came up like that.
"And last of all, and longest, from Janet Martett, Cahills vs. Vespers!"
I nearly fainted.

I can't stand the next part! (I'm AmIan!) but I will pretend he's Ian.
Madz looked at me.
"Amy, I'm a Lucian."
Cass gasped.
"I'm Ekaterina!"
"Wow. I'm a Madrigal."
I confessed.
We then drew our attention to the screen.
"There was a 500 year old race to find the 39 clues."
A booming voice started.
A video of people looking for the clues.
"It finnaly ended, with hard work. Jealousy and disaster befell them."
A video of Ian and me in the cave when he fell on me.
Then came me and Dan in the cave.
"Explosives and Popstars, Cahill against Cahill. Each knew their talent, except Amy and Dan Cahill."
A video of Hamilton running from the explosion that hurt the Starlings.
And a video of Dan on a conveator belt in the Jonah Wizard singing lolipop factory, and Jonah appearing.
Me pulling Dan through the catacombs.
I cried, so many dead because of the clues.
"And it all ends here, Amy and Dan the champions."
Me in the fighting and Hamilton punching the Vespers and kissing me.
