I have good news and, um, some pretty terrible news. Atticus is safe, thank goodness. We’re so grateful for all your help with the search.
But something awful happened. Mr. McIntyre is dead. I can’t really believe it. He’s always been there for me and Dan. I think he’s the reason we’re still alive. And yet, we couldn’t do a single thing to help him when he needed us. We didn’t even know he needed help. And now he’s gone, forever.
The Vespers killed Mr. McIntyre, and if we don’t find the next item on the Vespers’ list, they might kill Uncle Alistair too. We can’t let them do that. We can’t let them take another person we care about.
Vesper 1 wants us to steal a jewel from Germany, but that’s all we know so far. I need you to do some research, to see if you can figure out which one. Let me know if you find anything interesting. It could be what keeps Uncle Alistair, and all the hostages, alive.

I am sorry to say Amy but... Dan has been gathering ingrediants for the master seurm if you didnt know already. But it could be the only thing that will save the hosteages :/
I also have an idea thou it probley wont work but send a text to the Vespers saying someone like ummm Natlie needs her speical pillow and put trackers in it they may not fall for it but its worth a shot make sure its completely hiden and ask a ekat to make it so the Vespers cant scan it and see it

Guys! Great news! I think I know which diamond Vepser 1 wants us to steal! It's the Jubilee Diamond. From what I reasearched, it's the 6th largest diamond in the world, weighing 245.35 carats!! It was found in 1895 at the Jagersfontien in South Africa. Thank goodness that it's not there, since what happened there during the hunt. Moving on, a man named Dorabji Tata had posession of it around 1900. Maybe he was a Vesper himself? Maybe he's connected to what you found in Grace's journal: Pliny describes first test. Maybe we should reasearch about him, and Dorabji. Good luck everybody.
