Whew, it’s hard to believe I’ve finally passed the halfway point of my tour! One of my favorite experiences has been having you guys along for the ride — virtually and in person. What a kick it’s been to meet some of you at schools and bookstores. Your comments crack me up and also make me think. Your responses to the prompts are always inventive and surprising. I can’t wait to read the latest one.Did you guess where my next city was? In addition to being proud of its weirdness (which I consider a very good thing), it’s surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Like this place. Let’s see if you can figure out where it is:

Did you notice? I found my statue! WOO-HOO! As you can see, we were very happy to see each other.Okay, let me know if you figure out the name (and location) of that incredible waterfall. The mystery will be revealed in my next post! Speaking of mysteries, I had a very spooky one of my own. Look what happened:
Yup, that was Roland Smith, author of the next 39 Clues book, Shatterproof. You better believe I tracked him down after he walked away. He’s every bit as fantastic a guy as he is a writer. Just wait till you read Book 4 — boy, does he have some explosive surprises in store for you! We did our best to keep Portland weird, zooming around town and taking embarrassing photos in public places:

I think you're in Portland, Oregon. I saw the sign 'keep Portland weird' behind you on the picture.
Also, your hat gave it away.
I'll have to research what waterfall it is...
Ok, back from the research. Fine, I never left, I searched it on the computer.
So, as I searched some pictures, I came to the conclusion that the waterfall is Multnomah. Am I right? The bridge on the waterfall picture looked like the bridge in your pictures. But you can't always trust the internet...

So, Mr. Lerangis...You, ah, feel like givin' a fellow Cahill, um, a copy of that lovely book in your hands? You know, the one that's not supposed to come out till SEPTEMBER! Or if not, you know, since it's already in print, why don't you and Mr. Smith whip out a few million copies and release the book early? That would be amazing. Eh? Wouldn't it? PORTLAND IS MY CITY!!!! Weird = wonderful, crazy, random, awesome and fantasticness!!!! Weird people are cool :D. The mystery of the waterfall, sounds like a challange. Well, challange accepted :). You've seen the fourth book? LUCKY!!! I haven't even seen your book yet, because my book stores still don't have it in stock. They're 'supposedly' getting it this week but who knows.
