I’m baaaack! After a week resting at home in New York, I was relaxed and ready to fly out again. I waved down to my new friends in the Midwest as I flew to ... Seattle! People warned me: bring a rain coat. Along with forests, mountains, and ocean, Seattle has nonstop rain! Well, they were wrong. I arrived to blinding sunshine and crisp spring weather. So I decided to drive straight to the famous Space Needle to wish it a happy 50th birthday!
The Space Needle was created for the 1962 World’s Fair — but trust me, the darn thing is just as sharp now as it was then... 
I nursed my finger wound, and met some great fans, at the famous Secret Garden Bookshop, a place I’d been wanting to visit for years. (My college roommate and his wife were there too, along with a high school pal. It felt like one big family!)
I met some super fans, like Han Lee and Emily, who actually made her own Ekaterina hat! Emily and her sister Hannah are Message Boarders who are looking forward to the next writing post. More on that below ...
I was overjoyed to meet this fan (appropriately named Joy), who was in town visiting all the way from Alaska! 
The next day I went straight to Laurelhurst Elementary, where my old Harvard classmate Bill Gates attended school. Here’s how we two handsome devils looked in college (and no, we didn’t know each other, unfortunately...).
Oddly, all the computers in Bill’s old school are... Macs! (Let’s not tell him, OK?)
A joke told by a student at this school:What is a ten-letter word that starts with gas? Answer: automobile!My kind of humor. Needless to say, we had a great time here. And the hallway artwork was as exuberant as the kids.
The exuberance spilled over to Barnes & Noble in Lynnwood that evening. Along with brothers Miles and Alden, and a couple of fans named Teagan and Lincoln, we rocked the house!
All branches were well represented at this event — including Akira, a proud Tomas.
Seattleites, by the way, are awesomely friendly. They also eat a lot of salmon. There may be a connection there, but I'm not sure. I do know there were a lot of smiles and terrific welcomes at two elementary schools on the north side of town: Kings and Mill Creek. 
Sad news: right after my last school visit, the clouds revolted. Those famous Pacific Northwest rains fell hard. Maybe I shouldn’t have touched the Space Needle so brazenly. Or made that crack about salmon. Or laughed at the joke about gas. Ah well, good thing I had my trusty Seattle baseball cap.
Notice anything unusual so far? That’s right, no statues! You know me, I like statues. They always listen and never talk back. But I just didn’t find any. (Ah well, maybe next time ... )Over the week I’ve been reading your responses to the last prompt. Wow, you guys rock. The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That’s when Jonah Wizard heard the scream. He looked, laying down on the ground was the girl he had a crush on. Charlie Harris, She hade blond hair, pail skin, tall , and skinny. Jonah smelled smoke again he picked Charlie up, and tried to find a exit "Come on there has to be an exit." He said to himself. more smoke entered the room "You'll never get out." Jonah looked there standing infromt of him was a Vesper "How do you know?" he asked he looked around then turned to the Vesper but she was gone. More and more and more smoke entered the room and so did into his lungs, Jonah caughed and fell to the ground. The next thing he knew fire started to swarm around him.
Jonah woke up next to him was the girl Charlie "You ok?" She asked "Yea i am, did you save my life?" he asked the girl smiled and put a strain of hair behind her ear " yea i did do it looks like i', your hero." John sat up. Charlie walked twords him " looks like i own you one." He said. Charlie sat on his bed. they leaned in closer and closer till there lips meet. Then Jonah was intrerupted by his father "SON YOUR ALIVE!"

Jonah banged around. He knew that scream, it was his fincee KARMA! "JONAH HELP!" She was screaming,sobbing. It was dark.....too dark. The smoke was now thick and heavy. He coughed "JONAH! HELP!!!" Karma screamed. He grabbed something, an axe. BANG! BANG! He hit the wall with the axe as hard he could sweating beading down his face,stinging his eyes. FREE! He toppled in and grabbed Karma, he leg was broken. He scooped her out and ran. He ran as fast as he could his feet touching the flames. He jumped out the window. He fell into the a tree. He was injured, he felt a wet spot on his back. He lost conscious before realizing it was a piece of glass in his back.
Karma kept screaming things like "HELP!" "CALL 911" "PLEASE BUILDING ON FIRE MAN STABBED WITH GLASS AND WOMAN WITH A BROKKEN LEG!" The ambulance came. They took the down Karma and Jonah and quickly looked Jonah over. "He'll live." The paramedic but added so no one would here " about a 75% chance of dying."

The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That's when Jonah Wizard heard the scream.
"FIRE!" shouted a young Janus. "FIRE IN EAST WING, THIRD SECTION!"
OH NO!, thought Jonah. That's was where they kept their info on the latest Tomas clue! Cora would have someone's head.
"Son!" called Jonah's dad, Broderick. "You need to save that info! Take an extinguisher and run!"
Jonah acted promtly. He smashed the glass, grabbed the extinguisher, and darted to the section. He saw the fire, pressed the lever and *POOF*, the fire was gone.He saw almost everything was saved, except a piece of lemon-smelling paper for code cracking. A large "M" was burned right onto it. Jonah's eyes widened as he stared at the paper. He sighed and fixed all the files. It was until then he didn't realize how little his dad had said. Just save the info. No be careful or watch out, just run. He felt relieved he had saved the info. That Janus girl had better not tell Cora!, he thought. He ran back to his office, and sat down. What did the Madrigals want? Why were they after the Tomas clues, and all of them anyway? He sighed and got to work on his new song.
What do you think? I decided that the Clue hunt would be a better situation for the prompt.

Let me give this prompt a try. This story just popped into my head, literally 5 seconds I looked at the prompt.
The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That’s when Jonah Wizard heard the scream. It was Dan.
My homey's in the kitchen, he thought.
He ran to the kitchen as fast as he can, but all he saw was a cloud of black smoke. He also heard Dan screaming in the cloud.
"Holy Justin Bieber," Jonah yelled out, "What ya do, dawg?"
"JONAH!!! JUST HELP ME SET OUT THIS FIRE!!!!!!" Dan cried out.
Jonah charged into the cloud of smoke with a fire extinguisher. When he saw an orange flickering light, he sprayed at the fire. The fire was gone, but the smoke was still there. He grabbed Dan and they ran out of the kitchen.
"Dawg, why the heck did yo almost made the mansion become ashes?" Jonah said.
"I was trying to make some toast and the toaster suddenly went on fire," Dan explained.
"Nex time you wanna cook, ask yo babysitter," Jonah adviced.
"Nellie is NOT my babysitter," Dan pointed out.
They stood there in silence for a moment until Jonah remebered something that was wrong.
"Wait a darn minute, could fires make lights flicker?" Jonah asked.
"No they didn't," A familiar voice answered, "because I was doing it."
Dan and Jonah turned around and suddenly they wished that they never did.
"Oh no," They both said. Then, they saw darkness.

Proud of it's weirdness I want to live there! I love weird.
The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That’s when Jonah Wizard heard the scream.
He couldn't be sure if he was the one that screamed, or someone else did; a dark figure was infront of him, glimming silver light in the right hand. A knife. The figure wearing to many layers for Jonah to even know if it was a male or female. Jonah stumbled back then began to run for backstage. The figure close behind. Jonah stopped next to a barrel and rolled it at the figure for extra time; but it didn't seem to help the figure leaped over like a trained lion. They both kept running, the figure geting closer. Jonah stopped. He was cornered. The figure began tossing the knife between hands, playing with his or her prey like a kitten. The figure was about to lash out with the haunting knife. But instead a knife flew of the figures arm, catching the sleeve. Jonah looked towards the knife thrower and couldn't belive who it was.

Well, I didn't do the last prompt because I was starting several new stories, but now they're started and I'm a bit more caught up with my old ones. So... here! The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That’s when Jonah Wizard heard the scream. The smoke detector was going off. He ran for the door. It sounded like Hamilton.
He made it to the stairs, than he heard it again.
"Aaaaaagggghhhh! Noooo!"
Yep, definitely Hamilton. He ran down the stairs, taking them three at a time. Hamilton had been staying at his mansion for about a week, now. Jonah had invited him over, due to the fact that his house was beeing redecorated. He had needed someone who could lift the furniture and not give away the location of his house. Of course he hadn't told Hamilton that.
Jonah reached the first floor landing and ran toward the screaming.
"Nooooooo!!!" Hamilton yelled.
Jonah entered the kitchen. He saw Hamilton on his knees, in front of the microwave. Smoke filled the room.
"What happened?" Jonah asked.
"I burnt the popcorn!" Hamilton said.
Jonah stared at him. "You burnt popcorn?"
"Yes! I was watching the football game, and decided I wanted some popcorn! I went to go and make it, stuck it in the microwave, and went back to watch the game." Hamilton explained.
Jonah's face was blank.
Hamilton continued, "When I got there, the TV wasn't working, so I went to check the power box. I accidentally turned the power off completely upstairs; then I switched it back on. When I got back to the kitchen, the popcorn was on fire! And the Lakers lost!" Hamilton put his head in his hands.
Jonah remained motionless. Then he went over to the counter, grabbed a news paper, walked over to Hamilton, and wacked him with it.

The light flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke filled the air. Thats when Jonah wizard heard the scream. At first he thought his disguise didn't work. You know how fans can get. It was probably some 16 year old heart throb, who wanted to get Jonah's autograph. That's when he realized, he knew the voice. It was sineads, who was at Cahill command center. He pulled out his cell phone realizing he had 13 messages from sinead saying, "help!!!!! Evan is setting the mansion on fire!!!" all of them said the same thing. That's when Jonah realized, he was 5 houses away from the mansion. He ran. No, Jonah sprinted knowing that someone's life was on the line. Someone's life. It rung in his head over and over. Did he really want to be responsible for someone's life. Someone's life. Someone's life. No, not just someone's life, sineads life. Sineads life was in the hands of Jonah wizard. Jonah, pop star, tv show actor, pop up book, daughter of Janus leader. Did he really want murderer to be on that list. Of course, he wasn't the one murdering sinead, it was Evan. He should have suspected. But Jonah knew he would never forgive himself if she died. It would always be Jonah's fault. His breath was short, but he didn't care, he had to reach the mansion. Before another life was sacrificed

The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That’s when Jonah Wizard heard the scream. The lightbulb over head shattered. He looked out the window, it was a girl on the street. Running, he went to the door. YO, I need to talk to the people who own that place. Shattering lightbulbs aren't cool man. That could have ruined the Face. Some men were robbing her, and they had set off a smoke grenade. "Give me that purse, and you won't get hurt girlie!" his voice was gruff, like he was a smoker.
Jonah sighed, "Hey, it's the Wiz!" he called. He had timed it just right, for at that moment, a bus full of 12 year old girls rounded the corner. Shrieks filled the air. The men ran into a near by alley, and dissapeared into the night. The girl was safe, but Jonah was stuck in the middle of a 12 year old mob.

The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That’s when Jonah Wizard heard the scream. The lights had been shut off and one of the support beams had fallen. By far this was the another failed concert. Last week two of his dancers had called in sick and one refused to go on. The week before while they were building the stage part of it had fallen and injured five people. When the lights were on he could see what was going on two men in black were approcing the stage. Another was approaching from the back. Before the lights went out he saw one of the dudes in the front chip away at the beam. He thought to himself: If only security was... He saw that all of them were the security guards. He did the one thing he swore never to do. As the two guys in the crowd climbed onstage Jonah jumped into the crowd. The last time he had done that was in England when he hit his head when he fell. He surfed the crowd telling them to show me to the exit. They put him down right in front of the exit and he ran.
Jonah ran past a fourth security guard and found himself outside near the dumpster. He jumped in and prayed for his dad to forgive him. He watched as the security guards ran past him, grunting as they went. He saw a limo pull up and his dad with his head out the back.
"Jonah! Jonah!" his dad called as he jumped out of the dumpster. As soon as his dad saw him he opened the door. He had done this before when he was in Thailand. He jumped in as soon as the guards saw him. He fell into his dad's feet and got up immediatly.
"Are you ok? What happened?" his dad said as he peeled away a empty yogurt container from Jonah.
"Vespers. They tried to attack me." replied Jonah
"Well your safe now. Were heading to the airport right now. I think you need some time off. You look like you havn't slept in days." his dad said while he texted on his phone. They drove in silence for the rest of the trip.

OMG OMG OMG my pictures on the message board along with my awesome hat about the writing prompt here i go
The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That’s when Jonah Wizard heard the scream. Jonah didn't know what to think all he knew was that there was a fire and he needed to save who ever screamed. The smoke began to fill the hallways of the SAM (seattle art museum) faster and faster and soon all he could see were the dark shapeless silouttes of sculptures in the swirling mass of smoke and ash. The smoke stung his eyes like a hornets sting and his vision was getting darker and blurrier as his oxegen deprived brain tried to keep him moving. He heard the blood curdling scream again this time closer and with more panic in its tone. Jonah started to cough and he pulled his "who wants to be a gansta" noviltie tee shirt that sold for $30.99 at street vendors over his nose and mouth and imediatly wished he had made them out of a thicker material and not 95% polyester. Tears were forming in his eyes from the sting of the smoke and he turned to the wall coughing and rapidly searching the wall for a door. His hand found a door knob and he opened it anxious to escape the capsule of death that the museum was becoming. Once the door opened he took a breath but quickly regreted it as the orange flames lept up toward the celing and lunged for him. Jonah thought about running right out of the room when he saw a young woman surrounded by flames her hair caught on some unrecognizable object in the wall. Jonah quickly pulled off his jacket and started hitting the flames causing them to retreat for a moment but setting his jacket on fire. During the few moments where the flames had shrunken he threw his jacket across the room the flames engulphing it and jumped toward the young woman who was beginning to slip into unconsiousness. He pulled at the location at which her hair was stuck to the wall and soon she was free. But on the verge of collapsing from lack of oxegen. She was able to semi-walk semi-lean on Jonah so he could open the window at the side of the room. He grab the clasps but imediatly retreated from the searing pain, the window clasps were boiling hot and burned his skin. The poor lady was almost out leaning against the wall. You can do this Jonah thought to himself as he grabbed the bottom of his shirt using it like gloves to pry open the hot window clasps. He climbed out the window glad to be able to breathe and pulled the now unconcious lady out of the window behind him and dragging her along the fire escape. Jonah used to hate them, the fire escapes were so ugly and they looked so unessecary, but now one of them was saving his life and the unconcious womans life. He continued navigating through numerous stairs and walk ways until reaching the bottom. A 20 foot drop. That would surely mean broken bones and possibly death. He continued to weigh his options eliminating one and adding another until he was left with either jump or wait for rescue. He decided it was better to wait than to jump so he sat there watching the lady slowly come back to life. Thats when hope emerged in the form of a quiet sound gradually growing larger until the fire truck roared down the streets of seattle the lights blinking on and off in an assortment of white and red. He smiled and so did the lady now fully concious. Standing up Jonah waved his arms in circles screaming to the firetruck. The bright red car stopped underneath the fire escape and firefighters helped Jonah and the young lady down, he later learned that the girl he saved was called Veronica and had been planning a speech for the head of the SAM museum when the fire seemed to start out of no where she had ran but her hair got caught on a nail where a painting had recently been. Thats what she told the fire fighters any way, Jonah told his story before the lady pulled him aside.
"Thank you Jonah Wizard, do you think they belived it"
"i'm sure they did, do you have them" Jonah asked
"yes" and with that Veronica handed him a manilla colored file with one peice of paper inside it. "Amy and Dan need it, new reports on the hostages and possible Vespers" She continued before running off into the busy streets of seattle dissapearing inside a coffee shop.

Jonah was sitting in the Command Center. It was probably one of the few places on Earth where no fans can find him. The rest of the Cahills were downstairs watching a movie. A movie without me in it is probably a terrible movie. Jonah thought to himself.
He was getting tired of doing nothing, so he headed downstairs. Jonah was looking through some Skakespeare books in the liabrary. Jonah was too bored to even read from a Shakespeare book. The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That's when Jonah Wizard heard the scream.
It sounded like Sinead. Jonah ran from the library and covered his face. The closer he got to the kitchen, the thicker the smoke got. Finally, Jonah was forced to get down on his hands and knees to keep from breathing in the smoke. Through all the smoke, Jonah could see a window.
As Quickly as he could, Jonah opened the window for fresh air. Jonah caught a glimpse of two people running back to a black SUV. They seemed to be in a hurry. Right as they got to the car, one of them turned his face back to the house. There was no mistaking that it was Casper Wyoming.
Casper took something from the car and threw it at the mansion. Him and the other person, probably Cheyenne, escaped the crime scene. Jonah climbed out the window and looked for the thing Casper threw. Finally, he found the object.
It was a note tied to a rock. Before Jonah was able to read the note, Sinead and Evan bursted out of the house. Soon Hammilton was out with a fire extinguisher in his hands. He blasted the foam through the door way until the extinguisher was empty. Jonah ran over to them.
"Yo, I saw Casper and Cheyenne run away from here. Casper threw this note at the house. That is not cool dog." Jonah said showing them the note in his hand.
"The fire just came out of no where. I bet the Vespers had something to do with this. The fire was small but that smoke was so thick." Sinead told him.
"The fire is out guys. Plus nothing was really damaged. But we're going to have to replace Nellie's cook books before she comes back from being held hostage." Hamilton reported.
"What does the note say?" Evan asked.
Jonah un folded the note and read out loud,"This is warning to you all. Our guests tried to escape, but failed. They failed because they are Cahills and Cahills are far behind. Stop your research now or more than a few burns will be left next. A fate that finds Cahills a lot. Die by flames of their own creation by making their enemy angry. We are watching you."
Everyone became silent. They knew the Vesper were watching, but how close were they really. Jonah looked around to see that Ian was not to be found. Was he the mole?

Am I first to post i wonder....................
Anyways, I noticed that you only went to American towns......I know a lot of people from here in Canada love your books. Could you come to Canada Maybe sometime. You`d not likely come to my town because nobody knows about it even if it`s one of the capitals.

The lights flickered for a moment, and the scent of smoke began to fill the air. That’s when Jonah Wizard heard the scream. 1 week later... It was the vesper girl,Annie was her name who was the victim of the fire. It was because Annie was a Janus agent and was spying on the Vespers to give info to the Cahills. Just when she gave her first piece of info the fire happened. The one you caused it? Casper.They all tried to run away but the only ones who survived were Casper and Jonah.The fire happened at the place right when Annie gave Jonah the info.Jonah knew he had to protect the info for Annie's sake.
