Amy woke up in a brightly lit room that blinded her eyes. On later inspection it was all white. The sheets, bed, walls. She groaned. A hospital. Amy tried to move, but her legs just wouldn't respond. She checked her cell. She called her friend, or "sis" Sinead, but reached her answering machine, "Hey Sinead, this is Amy, where am I? And will you visit soon?" She sighed. For all she knew, she was in the middle of another mystery. But that mystery was solved when...

A nurse walked in. Your typical smiley nurse, in fact so smiley that Amy felt like punching her. Actually she had felt like punching everything, she hated being not in the know. Actually she had been punching her pillow for the past fifteen minutes. "Hello, I'm Nancy! I'm your nurse! How are you feeling?" Amy calmed herself down, book loving nerd, calm PEACEFUL Madrigal. Amy wore a forced smile on her face, "I'm fine Nancy, thanks for asking. Where exactly am I?" "Why you're in MA! I think your boyfriend brought you in." Amy brightened, Evan DIDN'T forget about me! "Has he visited yet?" Amy asked eagerly. "Actually, because he is in critical condition himself, he hasn't, though he has asked about you often!" Nancy said with an overly eager smile. Amy's face fell, Evan in critical condition? This is bad, bad, bad!!! "But a girl and a guy have often asked about you. She said she was you cousin/sister. Unfortunately I had to turn them away because you were in critical condition, and your little brother has been by your side constantly until he was forced to return to his school. He was seemingly absent for too many days!" Nancy offered. Amy was confused. Was Sinead hanging with another Cahill? "What did the guy look like?" Nancy smiled, " He had blond hair, coke bottle glasses, and a really nice way of talking" Amy gasped, "THAT'S my boyfriend! Who was this other guy and why did you think he was my boyfriend?" What if he's a Vesper? Wait, we already destroyed them. "Oh, this guy was a real good-looking guy. He had dark skin, black hair..." Amy was frozen. Ian Kabra. She was sure she didn't even like him anymore. In fact she didn't, but wait. Where was everyone?
Ian Kabra groaned. He was definitley in pain. He needed to get his mind on something. Reading material. He scanned the room, he knew the nurses would be coming in with his pain meds. He just couldn't get the image out of his mind. He chose to save Amy over saving his evil witch of a mother, Isabel Kabra. He knew that had been the right decision, but he couldn't get his screaming mother out of his head. They had suggested psychological treatment, but he wasn't sure he wanted to lie down on a couch and talk to a perfect stranger about his problems. Him, "perfect" Ian Kabra. Then he relaxed on a picture from his memory, Amy Cahill screaming to him out of desparation, and her face when he had answered. He wasn't sure how far he had traveled to get her to a hospital in MA. Then the nurses entered with the meds, his last thought before he went to sleep on the pain medication was his mother's last words, " I have made you what you are, if it wasn't for me, you would be nothing, just a regular boy, nothing to anyone, of no use to anyone. If it wasn't for me, would the Cahills even claim you?"

Amy was in a muddle. Her memory was tangled. She knew they had defeated the Vespers, but had a hard time figuring it out. She relaxed, then someone came in. She recognized it as her friend from school, Caitlin O'Connor. Caitlin was a really "good" girl. She had started hanging with the "cool" crowd, but then she had become all "religious" and was a "good" girl. At least people thought so. Amy knew that deep down, Caitlin really struggled with alot of things. She had struggled so much, that she had even given up DATING!! But the thing Amy liked the best was she didnt' judge. Amy figured that it was because she could pretty much relate to the average teenage girl. But "average" wasn't "Cahill". "Hey Amy what's up? How'd you get so...beat up?" Amy breathed in, deep. NO she's not a Cahill, she doesn't, won't understand. This isn't your typical teenage girl. But then, I'll BURST if I can't tell anyone. And Nancy is just so smiley! But then, I don't want her involved. "Hey Caitlin! What's up girl? I kinda busted my everything saving the world!" Caitlin laughed, "I knew you were a true Cahill when I saw you!" Amy was stunned, "What?" Caitlin laughed at her discomfort," My family/friends were going through a weird situation, being the nosy person I am, I found out all about the well kept secret. So Amy, you can trust me, tell me everything. Please." Amy burst into tears. And spilt everything. Caitlin was actually pretty good. Amy dried her tears, "But I'm supposed to be the strong Madrigal leader and I'm totally breaking down to you like this!" Caitlin smiled, "Amy, you're not God. As strong as you are, you can't take everything alone." Amy stopped and pondered this, " Yeah I guess, but GRACE did it." "I'm sure that Grace didn't do it on her own either." Amy pondered this. She knew Grace WAS pretty religious, but it had never occured to her that a grandmother woudn't be. It was so stereotypical. Caitlin smiled, " At least promise me this. When you can't sleep, and have a lot of thinking time, read this will you?" Caitlin handed her a teen bible. Amy shrugged, " I'm not really into religeous stuff, it makes you weak." Caitlin smiled wryly, " Actually we already are weak. In Christ we are strong." Then she left. Amy called Sinead, " Hey girlie!" Sinead's happy voice chirped over the phone. "SINEAD!!! My sis! How are you? How's Evan?" Sinead replied, " We're fine. Evan's pretty involved in Cahill work, but he's been calling you, and Dan's stopping by for you to "help him with homework", yeah right. We heard Ian's there with you. Natalie's trying to get a flight, but it's just not happening. She definately needs time. She, Nellie, Fiske, and the rest are all banded together in a bond that can't be broken." Amy smiled," Understandable, tell Evan to give me a call! Now Caitlin O'Connor from school came in, she gave a book to read." " Everyone knows what perks you up! Bye sis!" Sinead replied in a droll tone. Amy grinned, " Bye!" She settled down and started reading...
Ian was tired. There was no one to contact him, Natalie, he guessed would be pretty beat up. Did they know she should've gone to the mall to recooperate? He picked up his phone, and called Amy, but reached her message. Figured. He reminded himself, Tolliver is her boyfriend, and you would NOT stoop low enough to steal her from him.
Evan Tolliver called Amy, but reached her answering machine. He figured that he wasn't acting like a proper boyfriend, but to be honest, he was pretty sure she'd be fine! He was much more interested in helping with the Cahill technicalities with Sinead. She was a pretty cool person to hang around. Evan messed around with a machine. It was a surprised for Sinead. She was so smart, he longed to make a machine that she could NOT figure out at first. He became so absorbed in his machine his cellphone (which was on vibrate) rang without him seeing. Evan thoughts were filled with the machine.
Sinead Starling was feeling guilty. She hadn't even seen Amy she wondered if part of it was because of...

Ian Kabra looked at his "missed call" list. No one had called him yet. He had at least expected Sinead to call him, I mean maybe he had screwed his whole rep because of leaving Attleboro, but if he hadn't who knows what would've happened? But still, he had an inescapable lonliness. Even the smiley nurse Nancy had taken a dislike to him because of his constant bad temper, and somehow he had the feeling that it took alot to make a nurse like Nancy dislike you. He was reflected on his own thoughts when suddenly, something startled him. His phone. He looked to see who called and felt like it was some kind of sick dream. The picture of a reddish haired, jade eyed, pretty girl appeared on his phone. Amy Cahill, the love of his life, had called.
Amy was sick of it all. Dan came and visited, which she loved, but then he had to go back home. It was the lonliness she couldn't bear. Sure, Caitlin had visited a couple times, but then she had to go on a "mission trip" to Mexico. As if she didnt' have her hands full right here!!! She called Evan, but he had seemed pretty distracted with his machine he was building. Sinead had dropped by, but as usual, seemed a bit squirmy. That's when she had an idea. She figured that everyone had a life. Evan had school, and machines, Sinead had machines, and other things, Caitlin had her youth group stuff, and even el dweebo Dan had his friends. Everyone had lives except for her. So she decided to call someone who didn't seem to have a life, but would be moderately interesting to talk to. Hmmm, what about...Kara? No she's going to Mexico. Ham? No he's probably at sports or something, and I doubt I would be interested. Nellie? No, she's in counseling with the other hostages. Hmmm, Madison? No. Way. Jonah? Yeah, like THAT would happen, just have a nice little chat with Jonah. PSH! She reviewed a list of someone to talk to when she stumbled on a idea. What about Ian? He IS pretty interesting to talk to, and I can ask him some stuff about what happened, when I blacked out. Where were we, what happened? So Amy called Ian. "Hey Ian!!! What's up?" "Nothing much. I feel like I'm dying of lonliness, and then you called like an answered prayer." Amy grinned at hearing the crisp accent. "So have you been praying?" No answer. " My really good friend Caitlin gave me this book to read, but I mean, usually I jump at the chance, but it's about religion, and you know."
Ian Kabra was surprised. Amy thinking about religion? I guess that's what she thought about when she was lonely. And she had people visit her? Lucky thing. He smirked to himself, as if beating up on himself, You dream of her, she dreams of...religion? Nice. He heard her voice over the phone, "Ian you still there?" "Yeah totally. So are you into religion?" "Not really, I mean, I don't know, my friend Caitlin is really into it." Her answer had been pretty quick and defensive. Like she was justifying weakness. Actually, Isabel and Vikram said that religion WAS weakness. "Well, I'm guessing she never was a Cahill", he replied rather dryly. "Yeah, I guess it IS pretty stupid, but sometimes I really do wish life was like that. Not some freaking accident that evolved over time." Ian her the doubt in her voice, the doubt of wondering why she had called him. Stupid, stupid Ian. Nice one kid. You really made her want to confide in you. "Well I guess I'm not so certain now, after what happened with...with.." He just couldn't say it. "After Isabel." Amy completed his thought like she knew what he was going through. Which he supposed he did, after the discovery about her dad. He heard voices murmuring in the background, like she was talking to someone, but being in a hospital, he had discovered the rounds of the nurses. He heard her voice back on, it was infused with excitement, "Hey Ian, I just asked my nurse, Nancy, if I could invite you over here or something. To read that book together...like I mean..you know.." Ian was infused with enthusiasm. Not only was she inviting him, he had been having questions about religion too! Talk about two birds with one stone. She was trailing off, obviously embarassed at her presumptiosness. "Oh my goodness, what a great idea!" He arranged the details. Something to look forward too, other than lonliness and pain. Unfortunately he was sure his dreams would be haunted by Vikram and Isabel, like a house of horror with them as hosts. Sweet dreams.
So should I do more of Sinead and Evan? Should Evan visit Amy when Ian and her are talking about God. Would you rather I take the God factor out? Should Amy "accindentaly" read Sinead's diary? Or find out Evan's been meeting with Sinead for his machine, and hasn't been visiting her? Should I drag Jake in? PLEASE TELL ME MY LOYAL READER(S)!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M DEAD WITHOUT YOU!

@DeviousAqua9: Oh you're welcome! You are such an awesome writer and you should definatly keep going! Now about the questions:
Should I do more of Sinead and Evan? Yes. It would be really intresting.
Should Evan visit Amy when Ian and her are talking about God? That would be cool.
Would you rather I take the God factor out? I don't know. God is a very important factor in our lives, I just don't think it's that important to Amy and Ian. I can see that you are a very religious person, so it's completely your choice. Just don't make religion the most important part of this story.
Should Amy accidently read Sinead's diary? Hmm . . . that would most certantly be nice. I didn't know Sinead had a diary though.
Or should Amy find out that Evan's been meeting with Sinead for his machine, and hasn't been visiting her? I would like to see this one happen. It sounds great.
Should I drag Jake in? No. Nonononononononononononono!!! That's not a good idea.
Hope that helped!
~Vanessa~

Sinead's POV
Sinead reluctantly typed each key carefully, she had thought it was risky keeping a diary, but a couple of safeguards on her computer should do the trick. She hated herself, she felt she was betraying her sister Amy. But the thing was this feeling was pure too. Oh! She had nearly forgotten, Amywanted that document, she was emotionally tired, and hastily sent Amy's document to her, then went to sleep before she had a chance of hating herself more...
Amy's POV
Amy was definitely excited, she was socializing today with her cousin Ian Kabra, and she could email Caitlinsaying she actually HAD read that book. Speaking of which, Sinead needed to email that list of her friend's emails. Nancy the nurse walked I wheeling Ian in. He looked thinner, more humble and weaker. Amy remembered the smirking, annoyingly handsome cousin she could easily hate. Ian grinned weakly, more like he was sharing a joke instead of laughing at her discomfort. They chit chatted for a bit then started reading together. Amy had never realized that Ian was so interested I reading literature. Evan was more interested in computers. Interesting how guys can be so completely different. Amy was happy for once.
Evan's POV
Evan had almost finished. He was discouraged and mad at himself. Sheesh, he hadn't even visited his own girlfriend yet. He could imagine her hair, kinda reddish brown like Sinead's. He boug some roses and took them over to his car. He grabbed some plans for his computer programs to talk about and headed out once he changed into something cleaner...
So what do y'all think, give ur compliments and criticism.PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Amy was very interested, this book was fascinating, it contradicted all of her world, but somehow, in a skewed way, made perfect sense. They had been meeting for several days now, and this meeting was part of her routine. Ian seemed pretty interested too. She was perfectly content. "So what do you think Ian?" Ian considered the part, it was saying the this supreme creator, God, created the world. It was pretty radical, it even defied evolution. "I think it is well worth considering, I mean, there are tons of holes in evolution. All the same, it doesn't seem very empowering." He replied in his crisp accent. Amy thought for a moment, "I don't know, Grace gave me a bunch of stuff to read about the young earth, and it really seemed to make sense." Ian considered this. They talked over many things, the ups, and the downs, they were so involved the book, both their heads were bent over intently. Suddenly Amy heard a sound, "SURPRISE!!!! Ames! I just..." She turned around and saw her adorkable boyfriend Evan! "EVAN!!!!" "Ames...why is HE here!" Ian smiled, and reached out his hand to shake, "Evan! Nice to see you. Amy and I were reading this book together, it is most fascinating." Evan looked warily at him. "Ames can you and I...talk privately?" It was obvious to tell that Evan was seriously disturbed. Ian smiled, "Of course I'll give you two time. Bye Amy, see you tomorrow." Ian was wheeled out of the room by Nancy. Amy smiled, "EVAN!!! SO glad to see you! Why haven't you come before?" Evan seemed in a daze.
ARGH that Kabra kid. I just don't trust him. And there's Amy smiling. Has she been cheating on me? Ian seemed pretty comfortable. Both of their heads bent there. What did he say? See you tomorrow? Have they been seeing each other every day???
What next? What should I do? Faithful readers, help me decide!!!

Ian's POV
Ian was admittedly stunned. When Tolliver came in it seemed as though he was accusing Amy for something that was definitely NOT her fault. If anything, this study with her had convinced him just how pure her thoughts were and how much love she poured out to Evan. So that was why he waited for him after he was done with visiting Amy. " Evan, I just wanted to say that we were just reading that book together. As cousins." It was harder than he had thought it would be to say that. Not only because of the reality he had to face, but the pride he had to swallow. " Yeah, Amy was telling me. I guess I'm just a little paranoid." Evan's sheepish face reflected his shame.

Evan was admittedly embarrased, he came in accusing Amy and she was almost reduced to tears. It was easy to see that she was still interested in their relationship, and was hurt that he hadn't visited. He headed back, then there was Ian. He was surprisingly humble. Yeah definitely SURPRISINGLY! He headed back, he needed to sort his thoughts.
Amy was miffed at Evan. He was doubting their relationship. And it wasn't like she even had feelings for Ian anymore!!! That was soooo junior high! She was little, like fourteen, and she knew Evan had liked girls back then..way more girls he liked, than guys she liked! And now he was accusing her! Just when she needed his support. But according to him, he had been super busy preparing for college and after that huge yelling his parents did at him when he had spent all those weeks at the CCC. So I guess I shouldn't blame him, she thought. OH! I need to send Caitlin an email about the AMAZING book. It is so interesting, especially when considered in the light that it could be true! COULD BE. She wasn't sure yet. Ian she knew was struggling with it all. It was like the opposite of what his parents had taught him. She downloaded the attachment Sinead had sent...and she was astonished!
OMG Sinead was beating herself up. She had sent that email attachment to Amy, but she had accidentally attached her journal entries. So much for high tech security! She had sent it to AMY! HER OWN FEELINGS ABOUT...ABOUT!!! Yeah, THAT!!! She headed for the hospital right away.
Ian was worried. The nightmares just kept on coming. His psychologist suggested he tell his memories with someone, but Ian knew he couldn't tell it to the doctor! He decided to tell it to Amy. He called her, and asked her if she could get wheeled into his room. His room needed no cleaning up, even if the nurse HADN'T already cleaned it up, he had been trained to keep all his things in order. In a couple minutes, SHE would be here...he would have to tell all. Was he ready? Was he ready to tell everything? The things she hadn't been able to see?

Amy Cahill wondered why Ian sounded so upset. Like he was struggling with something about HER. She tried to remember what went on before she got knocked out. " Welcome Amy, we're glad to see you." It had been her father's voice. Then Isabel's voice had joined his, " Yes my darling, and I'm so sorry the reunion with your father will be so short lived, but now to the killing, we will be joined by my prodigal son, IAN KABRA!" That was all she remembered, it had been a nightmare, a living nightmare. Would Ian tell her what happened?
Sorry y'all, but I have to help my cute little eight year old brother. With school, so blame him for the super short post!
