ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DESPISE them!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I hate all the killing I think they're depressing and just plain...........weird. 22 OUT OF 24 PEOPLE DIE!!!!!!!!!! What is wrong with people and their tastes?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? And people think they're GOOD?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Even FABULOUS!?!?!?!?!?!?! How bloodthirsty the world is these days. People at my school think the Hunger Games are awesome and 39 Clues aren't. Okay, so most people think that. There are a couple people who don't like the Hunger Games and a few people who do like 39 Clues, but they and me are part of a sad minority. I really really really really really really really really really really really REALLY dislike the Hunger Games. I hate the idea of the whole story in general.

I hate them!! I mean really, what kind of society do we live in now where the most popular books are about kids killing kids in this giant arena for entertainment?!? I mean really. It is just crazy.

I don't hate it. I think it's well written (except for the ending of the last book) but it's getting really annoying with the thousands of RPs for it. I like it, but I'm not obsessed and I can totally see why you guys don't like it!!!!!!!

I don't really hate it or like it, but I just wasn't very interested by it because there are better things in my life, like the 39 Clues. Sadly, in my area, nobody reads the 39 Clues.

I completely understand you. People keep making WAY too many posts about it and it's driving me crazy! I would prefer seeing AmIan posts!!!!!(No offence AmIan fanatics){I'm NOT an AmIan fan...or at least not yet anyway...} I haven't read the books, but I know the plot. but THG was just an idea by Suzanne C. she didnt mean for it to be compaired to our everyday life. it's like, kinda just an 'example' of a lesson on Slavery, lets say. i dont mean the killing. i mean the rebellion of the districts. (yea i'm talking about Catching Fire, too) its kind of a.. dont-let-anyone-use-you type o' thing..... get it?

God, I thought I was the only one who doesn't like the Hunger Games. I read the first 50 pages, and man it's NOT my style. Too much violence! Well, I'll be rereading the 39 clues series. :D

I DON'T LIKE THE HUNGER GAMES!!!!! I probably would've read the books but my glamorized the Hunger Games so much that it turned me away from reading them. They made the school version of the Hunger Games... WHO DOES THAT????? They think that the Hunger Games are fine and Twilight is inappropriate... There is something wrong with my school. And i will never read the books no matter how many popular kids look down on me.

Im sorry but do not hate on the most amazing book ever.
If u guys stopped to look at the message of the books not the killing u might actually like it. i thought it was the worst book ever until i read it and realized it was amazing. Katniss has given me strength. Peeta has given me hope. haymitch has given me laughs. rue has given me somone i can relate to and love. Prim has given me a twin. Suzanne collins showed me that even the worst thing in life can be overcome by hope and love

I have read the books, and if you think about it kids killing kids thats not right. I mean the author wanted kids to understand how inhumane people
can be and how reality tv isn't really reality but, I think she could of illustrated it differently. I mean you can go about it another way, kids killing kids for entertainment as an example isn't the way to go. Unfortunately so many kids think the books are cool and they can become descensatized to violence especially envolving kids. She is getting the wrong feedback cuz so many kids thinks its awesome. I think there are only a handful of kids who are like wow that is terrible, how could adults force kids to do that to each other, not the other way around. P.S. I can describe the whole series in one word. HORRIBLE. I hate how everyone talks about them and say " OH MY GOSH THEY'RE THE GREATEST BOOKS EVER!" My best friend told me "YOU HAVE TO READ THEM!" No, I don't. When someone says that, it makes me want to read the book even LESS. My brother read the first book and saw the movie. He bought Catching Fire, but never started it. :| I'm just glad to see I'm not the only one that hates them.

I can probably put into percpective what's going to happen to the Hunger Games series, based on what happened to Twilight: It's only gonna be popular for a short amount of time, then when they are making the movies, peole are gonna lose interest... And don't say you hate us based on that we hate the book! That's just one aspect of us, like, me and my friend got into an arguement over what band was better, but i accepted that she likes a different band than me and now i look deeper inside. Just because we hate the HUnger Games doesn't mean we're terrible people... i hate the concept and there are second graders reading this book and what i've heard there is inappropriate parts...

I really don't like the fact that this book has kids killing other kids in it and 9 year olds are allowed to read it!I'm not 9 years old but seriously!Its inappropriate for kids that age to read about these things.But Katniss has kinda inspired me somehow.I EVEN HAD A DREAM ABOUT THE DISTRICTS!But it was a good dream...

Wow............all these replies in the past few days!!!! Probably because it's a very controversial topic. :)
Tina- We know that. Some of the lessons that were taught by the books were okay......... But you could have taught them just as well or even better without having so many people die.
SS1- Seriously?! "You have to be read them and be a good reader to get the theme"?!?!?!?!?! I'm a super avid reader (read more books than my dad and probably my mum) and I love to read, and so I'm supposed to get the theme???? Not really. I don't get it. As I said above, the lessons could be taught as well or even better without so much death.
And I just have a different taste than, others, btw. But I get ignored and looked down on because of it. People at my school who aren't avid readers but have read the HG judge ME, the person who reads as much as she breathes, as crazy because I don't like them!!! It's crazy!!!! Some people are so obsessed they can't see any other point of views, and won't listen to anyone if they don't agree. They just decide to officialy label the person who doesn't like it 'INSANE' and never speak to them again. I'm telling the truth when I say that this has happened to me MULTIPLE times.
And enough people have told me the plot that I know it PRETTY well already. :| I wish they would stop thinking I listen anymore. I did in the beginning, when I was trying to give it a fair chance, but......... Not anymore. Just like Ian got his chance at Amy already, the HG already got its chance to make me like 'em. It was a fail.
CL12- ME EITHER!!!!!!!! It's REALLY UNFAIR!!!!!!!!! No offence to people at my school, but most of them seem to just label them 'TERRIBLE AND STUPID' because some others don't like them!!! *sigh* As you can probably tell, there is a LOT of unfair and unjustified labeling done at my school. :|

I don't just look at the killing. I practically know the entire plot- my entire school has not failed to retell it to me dozens of times. I look at how the Peeta-Gale-Katniss thing is turning into another Twilight love triangle. I look at the way they watch it for entertainment (yes, I understand they are forced to, but are they are cowardly then? Afraid to take a stand and state their opinion? Or perhaps it's another Giver kind of thing... "They know nothing"). You get the picture. But it's hard to stay away from the killing, considering it plays a pretty big role in the construction of the plot. I don't know about you, but I just CAN'T read about death. And I think that's what people don't understand. I just don't feel comfortable reading about it, letting it enter my book life if it's already entered another portion of my childhood and tweenhood (heh heh, funny word!!! Tweenhood!!!).
And that's good for you that the characters have giving you those things. But I don't need books for that. All I need is my family, friends, a plentiful brain full of memories, heart, soul, imagination, and knowlege of those that have gone before me. And oh, my personal experiences.
