*The Medusa Plot Spoilers! (obviously)*
So I finished The Medusa Plot a few days ago and lay awake at night thinking about it. Atticus and Jake are new characters and I think that they are one of the most interesting characters in the new series. The part about Atticus's mum talking about Cahills on her deathbed and his +200 IQ kept me thinking,
Who are they?
Are they Vespers or Cahills? Maybe they form a new branch? Or maybe they aren't Cahills after all, and they're just regular people?
I personally think that he's a Vesper, and that his mom never told him anything (maybe she's a phycopath or ammnesiac?).
So feel free to debate, theorize or suggest.
On another note, do you prefer Ian/Amy or Evan/Amy? Cause it seems that Ian has gotten over Amy and vice versa. But you never know. :D :D

Atticus Rosenbloom?
Atticus Rosenbloom?
I agree about the Rosenblooms being the most interesting new characters, and Gordon Korman hinted pretty strongly that the mother of Atticus (Jake's step-mother) had something to do with the Cahill world, although Atticus doesn't seem aware of it. I personally think the mother was a Vesper, too, but not telling Atticus that doesn't make her a psychopath or mean that she had amnesia. Grace, Hope, and Arthur never told Amy and Dan, and none of them are considered psychopaths, or had amnesia.
Still, there's not a lot of information given. The mother could have been a Cahill, or she could have been a normal person ("normal" meaning that she was not a Cahill nor a Vesper) who, for whatever reason, knew about the Cahills.
About the Ian/Amy vs. Evan/Amy question: that's a toughie. On one hand, Ian doesn't seem to deserve Amy, and I don't think he would treat her as well as Evan does if he dated Amy. However, now that I read The Medusa Plot, I feel that Evan's character was a little flat. Ian's a more interesting character, in my opinion, but that doesn't make him a better choice for Amy. He's still the more popular choice, though, and for some reason, I really do like Ian/Amy. I suppose I'll be rooting for Ian, but I won't be upset if Amy ends up with Evan. She deserves someone nice.

Atticus Rosenbloom?
I actually don't think that Ian is over Amy. He really seemed to detest Evan and wanted to tell the police "shoot to kill."
