I woke up in my house, my brother won't stop screaming and saying: "It's today!" I would say "Quit it will ya!" But I almost forgot one thing....It is today! I went to my closest, took my fav dress and jacket and rushed out. I was scared because, I don't want to be chosen. When everything was done, it started! I crossed my fingers praying not to be me and..."Susan De-Roche!" I was about to faint! My name was announced! I walked up wanting it to be my brother because he wants to be chosen. I went up and It was the turn for boys. I crossed my fingers and whispered to myselg "Not my annoying brother, not my annoying brother!" Just then it was time...... 

You guys can continue the boys part. (and please don't let that boy be like Peter!)

            Emotion character felt when they were chosen: First like, whatever, I don't have much of a live anyways", then sadness that he wouldn't see Jack (the 5-year-old) ever again. Didn't cry though

            Weapon: Is good with a dagger - but spends all the time in training with a sword and masters it

            Other: Not a career, PLEASE not bloodbath, by the time the games is half over he starts making alliences, and turns out to be nice. Dumps all the alliences when there are like 8 people left and makes a bloodbath of his allys.

Evan! You are back:D were you gone? Cause I didn't see you around for a loooong time:P

It all started out like a normal day..... in the morning I woke up, brushed my teeth, fed my Irish Wolfhound Thor, made myself breakfast, started working around the house and it was about 12 in the afternoon......when all of a sudden I remembered.....today was the reaping. I stared at the wall for a very long time, thinking about all of the possiblitlies, what could happen, if i got picked, and then i died.......then there was a loud knock on my door. I jumped! Remembered what role I had to play, the poor innocent girl whose family were all killed in a fire, living in district 8 , barely surviving on my own....a 16 beautiful year old, who got millions of suitors but she all turned them away because the sorrow from losing her family was too great to let anyone else in. But they still kept trying. I started walking towards the door, and I scoffed, phah. They all thought they know the sweet innocent girl, but I was a survivor. I had survived the bombing of my real district......ready for a shocker? The one and gone district 13. I had escaped, and am now posing as a 16 year old, but in reality I am not a meek, pitiful, barely surviving girl. I am the survivor! I almost wish that I actually would get picked for these stupid games, because then I could show my real worth, I sighed, "Elizabeth, face the facts, you wouldn't last a single day out there...." I opened the door and mentally rolled my eyes, standing there was the most annoying thing on the entire earth. I swear. Tommy Stella, everyday he showed up, asking me questions about the fire, and I always put on a wonderful show, I really think that he is being payed by the officials, to try and find out if I really am who I say I am.....I shook my head clear of my thoughts. "hey Tommy! What are you up to today? Isn't today just wonderful?" oh, and did I mention I played dum as well? Tommy rolled his eyes, he was only about 10, but sometimes he surprised me in the fact that he sometimes acted mature, "duh, today is the reaping! Come oooon!". He yelled dragging me along with him, I yelled to Thor, "stay! Good boy, wait for me!" when we got to the huge reaping arena I saw, just as usual there were different sections for different ages, and boys and girls were separated. I nearly went to the 13 to 15 age group, but stopped myself just in time. "ah, you need to be more careful!" I said to myself, I walked over to the 16 to 18 girls group and waited, not talking or looking at a anybody.....then I heard the most annoying voice over the microphone," hello! How are you all today? My, my, you all look perfect!" there was a very short pudgy lady, wearing at least 5 inch heels, wearing a neon green evening gown, and had dyed blond hair. "my name is Vanessa!" she quealed like a little girl, "and I have the honor of picking one girl and one boy tribute........" she trailed off as she stared at our faces. On which were a mixture of hate, fear, nerves, and dread. I rolled my eyes, couldn't she just get on with it? Vanessa cleared her throat and continued speaking, " we will first pick a girl, and then a boy......what ever. Ok, here we are! She dramaticly reached into a jar filled with our names, pulled one out....and read the name on it. "the lucky, lucky girl who will have the honor or fighting in this years Hunger Games is...." I closed my eyes, wished upon everything in the world that it wouldn't be me...."Elizabeth Swords! Come on up dear!" I felt shocked for a moment, then worried about Thor, who would take care of him? Then I felt like I could beat this 'game' I walked steadily up to the platform, my chin held high, refusing to look at anyone. Then I was up there, standing next to that....that fake replica of a woman. She shoved the microphone in my face, "do you have anything to say dear?" I nodded, "Someone let me bring my dog, Thor, with me on the way. I won't go without him." she started to shake her head no...but I interrupted, "please? He is all I have!" she nodded, "we will see." .......then she walked over to the boy's jar....pulled out a name..........

Ok, maybe it is very, very long.... I didn't plan it to be this way! Honest:D

I woke up to the sun streaming through the misty windows, of the small bedroom that I shared with my three younger siblings. Groaning, I climbed fromt he bed i shared with Matt, my nine year old brother. When I entered the other room to our tiny two room house, I heard knocking on the door.
   "Rose!" Came a voice from the other side of the door. I smiled, walking over to the door. There was only one person that could be here this early.
   "Eric! What are you doing here?" I asked opening the door.
    As he walked in, "You look like you just woke up Posie."
   "That would be because I just did!" And then, giving him a slap in the stomach which, I'm happy to report, caused him some pain. "I have told you a million times, to not call me Posie, Dufus!" But then I gave him a huge bear hug. "Wjere jave upi beem? You give me a note that says you'll be gone for a few days, then you dissapear for a month. No one knew where you were, I was worried sick!" Going in for another hug.

i woke up,and it felt normal
(i almost dozed off here)
only it wasen't, and i new it wasen't
today was the 80th hunger games, 5 years after the rebels attacked
even though all seemes back to normal, i know it isnt
district 12 is on higher priority now, and there is not much that can stop it
 i went to the reaping, all of us gathered together
i waved to my freand Anjolina
she was 14, like me

as usual effie said "welcom district 12"

"as usual, ladies first" effie said once again

M'kay... I'm writing for me and Alex... Well, she's writing and I'm posting... I know this may seem awkward, but Alex and I are going to try something like a budding romance in the story... NOT IN REAL LIFE THOUGH! That'd just be too awkward...

Evan's POV
24 kids... But only one comes out alive...
I woke up screaming, my body practically shaking, and sweat made hair sticking to the back of my neck. I looked to the bed, squished in the corner of the room. My brother laid there sleeping easily for someone who's life could be at risk. I took a deep breath and climbed out of bed. Stretching, I put on my shoes, grabbed my equipment, and put my leg out of the window.
"Wait," a groggy voice said behind me. I stopped and looked to see Sly awake and rubbing his eyes, "Where are you going?"
"To find a unicorn, isn't it obvious?" I said sarcastically.
"Cool it with the attitude, Smarty-pants," he grinned, "You're going to go hunting with Alex, aren't you? Can you tell her I said hi?" (For those who do not get this, my bro has the hugest crush on her. Which I find absolutely disturbing.)
I rolled my eyes and inwardly gagged. Like Alex would ever go for a boy, let alone this one, "Yeah, sure, whatever, Loverboy. Just go back to sleep."
Easily pulling myself through, I looked around and grinned when my eyes reached a small run-down house across from mine. I jogged lightly across, waving and smiling at the pair of old ladies seated in front of one of their homes.
"Hello, Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Dunder," I said with a smile, trying to be polite.
"Hmmm, going back to see the young lady again, aren't we?" Mrs. Dunder said with a knowing smile.
"Those are my intentions," I replied, blushing a bit and getting a bit annoyed, "But you should know, I'm only going to see her as a friend."
"Ummm hmmm," Mrs. Peterson said, one eyebrow raised, "Is that so?"
"Yes, I believe it is," I said forcing a smile.
"Well," than give our highest regards to your 'friend'," she said rolling her eyes. I nodded and turned to go.
"Oh, and tell her to at least try to comb her hair and look presentable," she called out behind me, "Today is the reaping, you know."
 I swallowed hard, "Yeah, I know."

Alex's POV
Tap, tap, tap
Tap, tap, zip
"Ouch! Alex, wake the heck up!"
I bolted straight up out of bed and hit my head on the top of the top bunk bed.
"Crap!" I screamed out and clutched my throbbing forehead.
Tap, tap, tap
"Alex!"
The noise drew my attention to the window, where a mad-looking Evan stood. Sucking one of his fingers in his hand and using the other to tap, he motioned to me to come outside. I nodded my understanding and gently woke my little brother up, who was curled by my side.
"Ben," I whispered, "Ben, wake up."
"Mmm," he groaned, "Alex, its too early. Please, don't go."
"I'm just going out to get us some breakfast," I said, "Just go crawl into bed with Collins. She won't mind."
He nodded, but didn't move. I smiled and started tickling him.
"No, Alex, stop!" he giggled, "Fine, fine! I'm moving!"
He got out of bed and held his arms out to me. Rolling my eyes, I picked him up and lifted him on the top bunk. Collins moved aside a bit and made room for him. I grabbed my dagger and slipped my hunting shoes on. I was about to climb out of the window, when Collins sat up.
"Alex, please be careful," she said quietly.
"When am I not?" I joked lightly.
"Just don't get caught," she said worriedly and laid down, "And bring back a squirrel or two. Ben likes those best."
I smiled and climbed out.

Evan's POV
"Well, it took you long enough," I teased Alex, jokingly tapping my foot on the floor.
"Oh, shut up," she laughed, shoving me slightly, "I had to say goodbye to Ben and Collins."
"Hmmm, that reminds me," I said thoughtfully pretending to think, "Loverboy sends his regards. As do the old ladies across the street."
Alex groaned and held out her dagger threateningly.
"Yeah, now I'm sure you should shut up," she joked,"And tell your brother to stop dreaming," she added after a second thought. For some reason I felt a light happiness knowing she'd never fall for Sly, "Anyway, what on Earth happened to your hand?"
"I don't know, you tell me?" I said frowning at the memory of the window. I stuck my fingers in my mouth again, "I touched the window and got shocked."
She chuckled quietly, a sound that sounded like wind chimes.
"It's probably another one of Ben's inventions," she said shaking her head, "He'll go far with them someday."
"I bet he will," I nodded, "After he kills me with one of them. First the oh so amazing spring out dagger which nearly cut my ear off, then his recreation of something called the 'microwave' which gave me food poisoning for weeks, and do I even need to mention the dirt free pants? Those nearly killed me! My left bu-"
"Shhh," Alex interrupted me, "Do you hear that?"
I listened carefully and nodded.
"Two birds coming from the north, three to four squirrels in the west, and I think maybe a three rabbit in the east?"
She nodded.
"You go take the rabbits and I'll get the birds?" she bargained. I nodded in agreement and waited.

2...
The birds flew in the air and Alex threw two daggers with perfect spirals at them, instantly killing them. I expertly threw my spear at one of the poor rabbits and then a dagger at the other. Alex and I waited for a second and when nothing moved, started laughing. We highfived and went to get our kill.
"Well, that should be enou-" I stopped when I saw Alex gazing at the squirrels. Without thinking, I threw my spear over and pinned two of them to a nearby tree. Alex jumped back, startled. 
"I forgot Ben liked those best," I said nonchalantly. I sauntered over to the squirrels and grabbed my spear out of the tree. Quietly, I handed her them both and cleaned my spear on the floor.
"No," she said shaking her head, "You killed them, you keep them. That's always been our rule, right?"
"Well, hey," I said, "Sometimes rules were meant to be broken."
She shook her head, "Fine, but at least take one of them."
I accepted one of them, smiled at her, and stuck it in my bag. Suddenly, the ground started shaking and there was a whooshing sound from above.
"Hit the ground!" Alex screamed and tackled me to the floor. We saw a weird flying thing over us and I stared at in awe. It was huge. After a while it flew away and everything stopped moving. It was time. I looked up to see Alex still ontop of me.
"Sorry," she said clearing her throat and looking away, "I was just, you know, trying to save your life."
She quickly got off of me and dusted herself off, still avoiding my gaze. I felt my cheeks light on fire and I was glad she wasn't looking at me still.
"Well," I said awkwardly, "We better, um, get back to our houses. The reaping will start soon."
She nodded and gathered her gear up. We walked home in an awkward kind of silence. Everynow and then i stole glimpses at her, only to see her looking away, at her feet, and sometimes smiling for unknown reasons. I felt my heart speed up a bit and I mentally slapped myself.
No, she's your best friend!
But, look at her. She's kind of pretty once you get past her mess of a hair and she's the only person that makes me feel like, well, me.
She's also a fighter and will whoop your butt the minute you think of asking her out! And think about Sly! He'd beat you up too!
But, she's the only girl that makes me laugh.
Your mom makes you laugh. Did you want to confess your 'undying love' for her too?
I cringed at the thought of that.
"Evan?" Alex's voice said breaking through my thoughts.
"Hmm?" I said distractedly.
"We're here," she said quietly, "Well, I guess I'll see you at the reaping."
I watched as she walked away and put her foot through the window.
"Wait, Alex," I spoke up before she went in.
"Yeah?" she asked looking up at me expectantly.
"Uh," I paused, "Remember to comb that rat's nest of yours and try to look your best. I mean, it is reaping day after all."
She glared at me and stuck her tongue out.
"Whatever, you should talk," she laughed, "You're practically made out of dirt!"
I laughed and waved good-bye, a small weight weighing me down. A little bit because of the reaping day, but mostly because that was not what I was trying to say.

If the arena is like the 2nd book I'm gonna die. Just saying.
