Hey guys! I decided to write a story thats about Egyptian Mythology. I hope you guys like it.
I'm goint to post the summary:
Samantha Lopez is innocent. Well at least she thinks she is. Samantha thinks she gone mad when she sees Egyptian Gods infiltrating her life. She’s sent to go to a new boarding school by her parents and discovers the Egyptian mythology is real. While it’s fun using wands and summoning stuff the fun doesn’t last. Samantha and her friends stumble upon a hidden city under the school and clues to a hidden artifact. This artifact is extraordinarily powerful and unless they don’t find it first one person will rule the world.

Prologue Unknown Persons Point of View
I sat at my desk thinking deeply. Even though I’m immortal I still have to blend in with society. Plus who could resist using those mortal contraptions such as the SMART board and the iPad. I called for my workers a while ago and still waiting for them.
They finally came and bowed to me. My faithful servants always on time and ready to do things, I thought sarcastically. “Where have you been?” I snarled. “I summoned you guys twenty mortal minutes ago. Don’t say he stopped you?”
“Of course not master,” one of my servants replied. “It was hard to convince her to do it. She’s been pretty lazy lately. In the end we had to bribe her.”
“What did you bribe her with? I can’t afford to give up my things to a thing like her. She’s not important as me.” I said.
“Of course not. It’s nothing really. Just that you’ll let her be your partner,” he replied.
“What?!?!” I yelled. “How dare you? You don’t have the right to do that! Oh well, will just go along with it. I’ll get rid of her after it happens. Now go I need some alone time.”
My servants leave and I walked around the room. Servants. Not the most reliable beings. No matter, I’ll use them until they aren’t useful anymore.
It’s time to start the plan. I’ve been waiting too long for power and this is the year when I’ll achieve my goal. Hopefully, she won’t fail me because she’s my only chance of world domination. I need to convince them to let her go so she can find it for me. No one will stand in my way.

Thanks for reading guys! Here's the first chapter. Oh, and to the people who signed up to be a character: Alex, Bradely, Dontae, and Tori (Cea-Cea), thanks for signing up! I'll try to put all of you in the fourth chapter.

Chapter 1 Goodbyes and Secrets
It was my first time leaving home. My name is Samantha Lopez. I’m 14 years old and about to start High School at the boarding school my parents went to. The boarding school, North Point, is located in Quebec, Canada. I always lived in New York and never dreamed of going to Canada, let alone out of the state. My parents think it’ll be better to leave New York because of some conflicts going on.
Ever since the fight I had with my enemy in school my parents were worried about me. I constantly tell them it’s not my fault but they said I should’ve controlled my anger. The government told my parents that one more outburst and I’ll be expelled. Instead of going to a regular high school like everyone else I’m sent to a boarding school because my parents don’t trust me. If only they knew the truth.
I pack all my important belongings. All my favorite books, my laptop, my iPod touch, and my picture album were in my backpack. My other stuff such as clothes and other things are in the suitcases. I’m ready to leave. I look back at my room feeling very sad. I’m sure going to miss this place. Even though the fight happened, last year was the best year of my life. My crush finally admitted that he liked me. But now I’ll never see him until summer vacation. By that time he might forget all about me and go out with some other girl.
I go to the backseat of the car and my parents drive me to the airport.
At the airport I had all my suitcases handed in and my parents and I were waiting for my flight. The flight attendant announced that the passengers must enter the plane for the flight to Quebec, Canada. Now I had to say goodbye. I dreaded for this moment all summer. Why do I have to leave my old life? I felt the tears streaming down my face while I was saying goodbye to my parents. I hugged on to them never wanting to let go but I had too.
“Don’t worry honey. You’ll have loads of fun at your new school. Will call you every day,” promised mom.
I waved a final goodbye and got onto the plane. I sat in my seat next to the window hoping everything will be alright. I never felt as guilty as I did now. I turned on my iPod and listened to a touching song, Safe & Sound by Taylor Swift.

I close the song feeling a little better. At times when I feel alone memories of the terrible incident comes up to me. Just as it did right now.
It was a beautiful day in May. That day was the day of our graduation. We were graduating from 8th grade. During the graduation we all got awards and special recognition. My friends and I got awards for good grades. I always have been an all A student. After the awards we got to enjoy the party.
My friends and I, along with my crush who was my date and there dates, were all talking until she came. My enemy, the most popular girl in school came and interrupted our conversation. Her name is Mollie Jackson. She’s the daughter of a famous doctor and always wears the most expensive clothing. She had long beautiful blond hair and blue eyes. She hated me and my friends because of our grades, and because I stole her crush away.
She comes up to me and shoves me into the table. My face falls into the cake and my hair was ruined. What happened next was something I couldn’t explain. I let all my anger out and somehow summoned something. It was a beautiful Egyptian goddess dressed in white linen clothes with a tiara on her head. She had something that looked like a wand. She shot a beam out of it and injured Mollie. Then she disappears.
I run up to Mollie and find her unconscious. The party was stopped and Mollie was rushed to hospital. I look at my parents they were looked extremely terrified. From that moment I knew that my life would never go back to normal.
I come back to reality. These memories scared me because I don’t understand what happened. My parents wouldn’t talk to me a lot like they used to. I want to tell them what I saw but I’m afraid they think I’ve gone mad. Personally, I think I’ve gone mad myself.
The flight attendant brought some lunch a slice of pizza, a salad, Pepsi, and a chocolate bar. Normally, I’d finish my plate immediately but I don’t feel like eating my favorite food. I opened my iPod to song that will distract me from my problems. I finally fall asleep.

Chapter 2 Arrival at Quebec goes horribly wrong
I woke up when the flight attendant announced on the intercom that twenty minutes until we arrive in Quebec City. I got up from my seat and went to the bathroom to wash my face. I adjusted my contact lenses and brushed my hair. Many people told me that I looked just like my mother, long brown hair and hazel eyes. The only difference is that my mother has straight hair and I have wavy hair. I got back to seat and prepared for the plane to land.
Quebec City’s airport is magnificent. The place is filled with restaurant that serves French food, gift shops, and beautiful ice sculptors. I decided to go to the French Café when a man came up to me holding a sign with my name on it. Now I remembered, I was supposed to find my Uncle Bob so he could take me to the academy.
“Bonjour Samantha! It been so long since I saw you,” Uncle Bob said.
I hugged him and said, “What are you talking about? I saw you a week ago at my birthday party!”
“Come on. Let’s get your luggage. You’re staying with me for two days. School starts on September 6th.” He said.
We picked up my luggage and we got into my uncle’s car. We drove off to his house in Montreal. He had a big beautiful mansion and the inside was magnificent. He had statues and paintings of Egyptians gods and goddess. My uncle loves Egyptian mythology and he’s an archeologist. If I never knew this was his house I would have thought it was a museum devoted to ancient Egypt. He showed me to my room and allowed me to rest until dinner.
My room was gigantic. It had a flat screen TV, a beautiful bed carved with hieroglyphics and some books on the bookshelf. I placed my bag on the bed and looked at the books. The books were mostly stuff on Egyptian mythology and French language and culture. I opened up my laptop and searched for Egyptian goddess. I hoped to find something about that Goddess I saw at the Graduation. But eventually I gave up.
I know for sure that it has to be real. It couldn’t have been my imagination because I can’t think of anything that extreme. Problem is I have no one to tell. Maybe I could tell uncle because he knows a lot about Egyptian mythology. But I decided against it because he might think I’m crazy.
Uncle Bob called me to meet him in the library. I closed my laptop and left the room searching for the library. When I got to the library (which wasn’t really hard to find because of all the signs) I went to the back of the room. I saw Uncle Bob on the SMART board putting up a PowerPoint presentation. When he saw me he closed the SMART board and sat at his desk. I asked him to what’s the PowerPoint for.
“It’s just for a meeting,” he replied. “Now I know you’re wondering why your parents sent you to North Point.”
“I already know,” I said. “They don’t want to deal with any more problems by having me around.”
“That’s not true Samantha. If you don’t mind, please tell me in detail to what happened on the day of your graduation party.”
I hesitated at first. What I know happened seemed farfetched. But I could tell that he was trying to help me. Besides, whom else can I tell? My parents didn’t even mention the incident once to me. I decided to tell him anyways. I explained everything from where Mollie shoved me and when I saw an Egyptian goddess appears. The whole time I talked Uncle Bob looked serious. He didn’t interrupt me once. When I finished I looked at him. His expression was very serious and he looked dreadful.
“Excuse me, Samantha. I must talk to your parents to discuss some matters. I’ll explain to you everything during dinner. Why don’t you go outside for a while? There are many wonderful things in Montreal.” He said.
I left the room and went outside for a walk. I walked inside the Café International and ordered a cup of hot chocolate and a croissant. I walked to my seat and sipped the hot chocolate. Even though it was delicious I was still unsatisfied.
Uncle Bob’s reaction bothered me. I knew I shouldn’t have said anything. Who knows what he’s going to tell my parents? I’m a lunatic? I need to stay at a Mental Hospital? I wasn’t looking forward to tonight’s conversation at dinner.
I left the coffee shop and walked back to the mansion. Before I went inside I saw two men at the front door. Those two men looked normal at times and looked very strange at other times. When I concentrate hard enough I finally see what they really are. One of the men had a human body but a head of a crocodile. The other man was the exact same except with the head of a scarab .I immediately hid behind the bushes and eavesdropped on their conversation.
“Come on. Our work here is done. Let’s go to the master and tell him. He won’t be happy when he finds out that she succeeded,” replied the crocodile head guy.
“You could say that again,” laughed the scarab headed guy. “He was hoping she would fail so he could punish her.”
Then they both disappear. What was that all about? And what are they? I ran to my room and went on my laptop. I opened up Google and typed Egyptian gods and goddesses. I looked at all the pictures and found the one that matched the two guys I just saw. Finally some information! The crocodile headed guy is named Sobek and the scarab headed guy is named Khepri. Khepri was the god of creation. Sobek was the Nile god. But that couldn’t be possible. Egyptian mythology isn’t real. It must have been my imagination. But deep down I felt that I was wrong.
Uncle Bob called me for dinner. I hope that none of this real. Otherwise I’ll never look at life the same again.
I hope you don't find this Chapter too long. Chapter 3 is in the process of being written. I have half of it done. So I might post on the weekend or next week.

Chapter 3 I learn the truth
Let’s just say dinner was horrible. Don’t get me wrong French food is delicious. But what he told me next was unpleasant.
When he called me down for dinner his face was expression less. I couldn’t tell how he felt. He told me to enjoy my dinner than he’d tell me what’s going on.
Once we were done eating he said, “Samantha, I called your parents to tell them what happened. They didn’t believe me at first because it’s a little unusual.”
“What do you mean it’s a little unusual?” I asked. “It can’t be true. It’s just my imagination.”
“No, it isn’t. Samantha the Egyptian gods are real. You’re a magician,” he replied.
“A What?!?” I said surprised. That was completely unexpected. There’s no such thing as magicians. But from the look on his face I decided against saying that to him. His expression told me that he was dead serious.
“A magician,” he repeated. “Our ancestors are related to the Egyptian gods. It’s a long story but you’ll learn about it in school. Our whole family are magicians. The point is that you’re in danger. Once a kid in a family of magicians find out there a magician there sent to these special schools. Depending on your age of course.”
“Wait, this still doesn’t make sense. If I really am a magician, why didn’t my parents tell me about this?” I asked.
“You’re parents wanted to protect you from this. Being a magician is extremely dangerous. You must believe it, Samantha. If you don’t now than you will later on.” He replied.
“No, I believe you,” I said. “But it’s kind of confusing. So North Point School is a magician school?”
“Yes it is. North Point is the most famous boarding school in North America. You’re parents and I went there. The most famous one in the world is in Giza, Egypt. You might go visit Egypt during a field trip, depends on what they’re doing this year.”
“But what do we learn there?” “Well you learn how to summon stuff, casting spells, and so on. You’ll know everything once you get there. Now I must leave and get ready. Some people are visiting to discuss some matters. Tomorrow will be going shopping and then you’ll be on your way to school after dinner.”
He leaves to go to the library and I went to my room. I tried to sleep but the pillow wasn’t really that comfortable even though it looked like it was. After a while I finally fell asleep.

Chapter 3 Continued...
The next day Uncle Bob took me to go shopping for school supplies. He asked me if I slept with the pillow. I said yes, but I was surprised. Why would he ask me that kind of question? We got into his van and we drove off to a different city called, Sherbrooke. It’s a nice and more peaceful city then Montreal. He showed me the mountains and rivers/lakes that are surrounding the region. He also showed me the Mont-Bellevue Park which contained two mountain peaks. If only I came to Quebec earlier then we would have had time to go hiking.
After our sightseeing we went to a less crowded area in the city with no tourist attractions. Uncle Bob parked the car outside of an enormous office building. On the billboard it said, Sherbrooke Ancient Egyptian Expedition. He probably worked here. Uncle Bob showed the guards his ID and then we walked inside. I was speechless.
I had expected this place to be a boring office building where my uncle worked but instead this was a mall. Not an ordinary mall, a mall with Egyptian stuff. There were shops with charm necklaces and amulets, shops that sold weapons like a staff and wand, shops that sold linen clothing (Uncle said that magicians wore robes or linen to help them with magic), restaurants that sold Arabic & French food, and more.
The place was crowded with kids with their parents. They’re probably here to buy there school supplies too. Yesterday, Uncle got a list of the stuff I would need: Linen Clothing, Staff, Wand, Textbooks for all my classes, and magical kit.
We first went to get my wand and staff. Then we went to get my linen clothes and after that we went to get my magical kit. The shop that sold it was called, Magical Kits 4 U. The store owner asked a lot of personal questions before giving me a kit. Inside the kit were wax, a wooden stylus, palette, some black, red, and gold ink, and a roll of papyrus.
“These are all the essential things a magician needs,” she explained. “Be careful, use these things wisely or else you’ll regret it. Your future is at stake.” Then she leaves me standing there speechless.
We decided to have a lunch break before we go buy my textbooks. We go to the food court and decide to buy some Arabic food. We bought some chicken shawarma sandwiches (which is boneless chicken in pita bread) and Pepsi. It was delicious.
While we were eating I asked my uncle, “Remember that shop we were just in. What did that lady mean by; your future is at stake?”
“Don’t believe everything you hear, Samantha. There are some magicians who can see the future. They can predict it but that requires Divination powers. It means you could see the future. Not that many magicians are able to because it’s really rare. And there are some magicians who claim to see the future. That lady seemed a little odd; don’t be worried about what she said,” he replied.
After we ate went to the Book store to get my textbooks. There were so many kids my age in the book store looking for textbooks. I was looking at all the interesting books and wasn’t watching where I was going. I suddenly collided with a girl carrying a bunch of textbooks. The books all fell on the ground.
“I’m so sorry,” I said helping the girl with her books. The girl looked like she was 14. She had short, curly red hair, blue eyes, and was short.
“No problem,” she replied smiling. “Hi, I’m Tori Peterson. What school are you going to?”
“I’m Samantha Lopez. I’m going to this school called, North Point.” I said.
“Cool, me too! Isn’t all this Egyptian stuff great? My parents told me all about it and wanted me to go this year.”
“Yeah, it’s great. And confusing,” I said.
“I agree, but don’t worry will learn all about this in school.” She paused when she heard someone calling her name. “Well, I go to go, hope to see you tomorrow!”
“Bye!” I said.
I got my textbooks and found my uncle reading a book about Divination. He closes the book as soon as he saw me.
“Ready to go?” he asked. I nodded and we paid for the books. We left the mall and went to the parking lot. We got into the car and drove to Montreal. Once we were inside the mansion Uncle ordered some pizza from the Pizzeria. We waited in the living room for the delivery guy to arrive.
“Samantha, I noticed that you’re happier now than before. What happened at the book store?” he asked wondering.
“Oh, I just met this girl. Her name’s Tori Peterson. I really like her personality.” I replied.
“See, you’re already meeting new friends. You’re going to have a wonderful time at your new school,” he said.
After we ate dinner I finished packing all my things. Uncle Bob took my things and put it in the back of the car. I take one last look at the mansion. The two days in Quebec has been great. Tonight I’ll be off to my new school.

Chapter 4 Trip to North Point
It was a long ride to the train station. I wondered why young magicians would take a train to school. When we finally arrived I was stunned to see how much people there were. The only people at the station were magicians. I saw a sign that said, The Magician Express.
“This is one of the most well-known train stations for magicians. You can go anywhere in the world,” Uncle Bob said.
“But how can it go everywhere in the world?” I asked.
“Through the Duat of course,” he replied.
“The what?” I asked confused.
“The Duat,” he repeated. “It’s the spirit world of gods and magic. The point is that you can travel places quickly with magic. We mostly use boats for traveling. But since there are many young magicians going to school you guys travel by train. Don’t worry; North Point is in the northern part of Quebec. Come on, you need to get through security.”
We went through the security and my luggage was taken onto the train. The train was humongous. It was black and had the words North Point engraved on it. I saw many people around my age boarding the train. I was looking around hoping to find Tori and I saw her.
She comes up to me and said, “Hey, let’s go on the train. I want to introduce you to my friends.”
After I said goodbye to my Uncle I boarded the train and followed Tori to a compartment. There were five other people already in there. Tori opened the door and we walked inside the compartment. She said, “Hey guys, this Samantha. This is the girl I met earlier today. Samantha these are my friends Chris, Dontae Cahill, Alex Sail, Sophie, and Lizzy Highlander.”
“Hi,” I said. “Nice to meet you.”
“Hi,” they all said in unison.
Dontae is fourteen and is African American. He has dark brownish/blackish eyes and wore all black clothing. Chris is fourteen, has her long dark brown hair pulled in a ponytail, midnight blue eyes, and is very tall and slim. Alex is fifteen, has brown wavy hair with red streaks in them, blue-green eyes and was wearing jewelry. She had bracelets on and a cool Egyptian coin necklace with an Ankh on one side and a lunar eye on the other side. Lizzy is fifteen, has light brown hair that goes down to her waist and dark blue eyes. Sophie is fourteen, has long blond hair, green eyes, and she also wore jewelry like Alex. She had on a Mayan calendar necklace, seven rings, and beautiful earrings with an Ankh on it.
We all became fast friends. We talked about where we have lived, about this magician business, and etc. I learned a lot about my friends. I wasn’t the only one who just found out about being a magician. Dontae, Chris, Alex, and Lizzy didn’t find out from their parents. Only Tori’s parents told her about being a magician. I still don’t know about Sophie because she didn’t say.
“Where did you guys get the cool jewelry from?” I asked Sophie and Alex.
“Oh these, we got them from our parents. I got them as a going away present,” replied Alex.
“Yeah same here. My parents really are fond of Egypt,” said Sophie.
“What province do you live in, Samantha?” asked Lizzy.
“I’m not from here. I lived in New York all my life. In America instead of province we call them states.” I said.
They all were surprised. “You’re American? I thought you lived in Canada. Why would you be going to a magician school in Canada when there’s one in America?” asked Dontae.
“I don’t know. My parents went to North Point and they wanted me to come here too. You guys are all Canadian?” I replied.
“Yeah, we all lived in Quebec. We’ve known each other from school. Except Chris, she just moved here a month ago,” replied Tori.
“I used to live in Edmonton, Alberta,” said Chris. “We moved to Quebec because some strange things were happening. I found out I was a magician when I overheard my parents talking. Plus I was able to read hieroglyphics.”
“No way,” I said surprised. “I had to come to Quebec because something strange happened to me during my graduation.”
“What happened?” asked Sophie.
I explained to them what happened and when I was done they were all staring at me. They looked dumbfounded and too surprised to speak.
Alex broke the silence, “That’s strange Samantha. How did you summon it? I heard that hosting gods are forbidden. What did your parents say about this?”
“I don’t understand what happened.” I said. “My parents never brought up that subject. But judging from my uncle and their reaction it’s not something normal.”
For the rest of the trip we didn’t talk. Since it was really late most of my new friends were asleep. I opened up one of Uncle Bob’s book on Egyptian Mythology and searched for the topic on hosting gods. I found out that there’s a House of Life. It’s a group of magicians were they train other magicians and work to keep the world safe for humanity. The House of Life has forbidden magicians to host gods because of the destruction that could happen.
Maybe that’s why my parents were worried. They were just concerned about my safety. But I still had many unanswered questions. Who was that goddess? How was she summoned? And most importantly, am I safe? I must have dozed off because Tori woke me up. I noticed that the train has stopped and everyone was gathering their belongings. The train has arrived at North Point.
