Roland Smith here, checking in on this fabulous board for the first time! I'm the author of the Storm Runners series, TENTACLES, and many other novels. I've been lurking on this board for months and I can't tell you how pleased I am to step out from the shadows and introduce myself.
As you know Peter Lerangis's new book THE DEAD OF NIGHT will be out March 6th. I can hardly wait to get his book into my hands! I won't be writing on that day, I'll be reading Peter's book! And speaking of THE DEAD OF NIGHT, I'm thrilled to reveal the title and cover of my contribution to 39 Clues. It's called SHATTERPROOF and will be out on September 4th.
In this book, the Cahills are hunting for and being hunted by the Vespers in five different countries and it's not going well for them - the hostages are in serious peril, and Erasmus is . . . We'll, I've said enough.
But I'm curious. What do you think happens to the beleaguered Cahills in THE DEAD OF NIGHT and SHATTERPROOF? I'll be monitoring your responses from my secret Madrigal hideout somewhere in Oregon. I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say.

I think that in shatterproof, the Vespers have Amy and Dan look for the golden Jubilee diamond and when they go to steal it from whereever it is supposed to be, they find that it was already stolen and replaced by a cubic zirconium just like in Medusa's Plot.

SapphireLadyug7, the code says "Magellann" refering to the first man to circumnavigate the globe in 1522, I assume he was a Guardian trying to hide something from the Vespers.

I think it could be the Hope Diamond, too! I just went to see it the other day in the Museam of Natural History and that thing is HUMONGOUS! There's also the fact that (according to my grandma) It's caused bad luck to the people that have had enough Money to own it. So I think they'll be headed off to D.C, somewhere they haven't been yet :).
I Can't wait for it to come out! Two more months!! =D

would it really just be a coincidence that MAGELLAN refers to the Portugese navigator Ferdinand Magellan, and the famous explorer Marco Polo was (more than just) mentioned in the previous books???? another Cahill on (i think) page 1 had several "theories" (which could totally be true) on different card packs and books. Coincidence? You tell me.
I bet you are right about them (the Cahills) going to the Philippines- after all, what a better way to learn about someone than to follow in their footsteps?

Amy and Dan will be looking for the Golden Jubilee Diamond. It was found in the prolific blue ground of the Premier mine in South Africa. Now it is 545.67 karats and located in the Royal Thai Palace and is part of the crown jewels. The Golden Jubilee Diamond will be a hard steal due to the fact that it is worth up to 12 million is USD.

I know, I've finish all of the 39 Clues books and I love them, I can't wait to read the 4th and 5th of the Cahill vs. Vespers series. I also want to learn more about Arthur and who Vesper One really is.....

Anyone else notice either the letter G,C, or S on the left of the diamond? if u dont see it then lemme specify the location:
1. look on the word clues
2. look left a little bit
3. dont look too far left that u look away from the diamond cuz the letter i am assuming it is, is on the diamond.
do u see it? if u do and u spotted something else reply plz, also i think i see some other things on it...
