I was eating lunch in the villa. Drew came down the stairs and sat at the kitchen counter, and he told me about how awesome the villa was. Apparently, there was an entire home gym on the third floor and a bowling alley in the basement. I realized that with all the time I'd had to myself, I hadn't gone exploring yet, I added it to my mental list. Just then, my phone buzzed next to me on the table, causing me to drop my glass of lemonade and send it crashing to the floor. I sighed. "Are you serious right now?!" I said, loudly. Drew stared. "It's alright, Kate." he said "I'll clean it up. See who it was." he grabbed a pile of paper towels and wet a rag. "Thanks, Drewy." I went over to my phone, being careful not to step in the puddle of sticky lemon juice. The message scared me. I stared at my screen. Reading the words again and again. Vesper serum. Research. Freak. Damien. Gideon. Bonded chemically. This could not be a good sign. What was worse? He was on his way. And he would want that serum upon his return. I hit reply. "I'm sorry, Joe, but I can't let you do that to yourself. Even if it doesn't turn you into a freak, it'll make you too cocky. Even more so than I am, if that's possible, haha. But in all seriousness, too much power can destroy you. I will ready the serum, but you will have to be ready to explain to me exactly why it is completely necessary to take such drastic measures. For once, I will make this decision."

I looked down at my phone and read Katherine's text. I walked in through the door. "Viper could potentially kill millions of people with what she is doing. I must remain more powerful than she is at all costs. To protect the inoccent. Not to mention, if no one has hostile intentions we will need to make sure we are more powerfull than he is." I said to Katherine who was preparing it on the table. She sighed. "That's good enough for me." She said handing me the finished syringe. I injected it into my arm. I could feel the power. The intelligence and all of the knowledge of the Vespers inside of me. Viper mustn't know I took it. "Viper can't know. Get rid of the evidence." I said gearing my IRONMAN suit up and blasting out of the open skylight. I landed in Viper's office putting a hole in the roof. "hey beutiful." I said noticing she now had the correct serum. "What are you doing here?" She asked. "Preventing you from killing millions of people." I answered. "Look, there is something I need to tell you. My superiors threatened me. And you. They our livres if I didn't do this. I am not going to murder people. They told me that it was going to be used to interogate prisoners without killing them. It's a virus that makes them talk no matter how much willpower they have. I just develop stuff. I don't decide how it's used. I am doing this to protect you. Because I love you. I won't let them hurt you." She said. "Text dracia and deal with it. or I will. If I find out she threatened you i might let vince get her. And that won't be pleasant for her. No one escaped but Jason wants damage done to this base? I smiled, "Damage? Oh, I can do Damage!" I said and with that I ran out the door Jason hot on my tail. I didn't need rings or powers for this. I stoped at a door and tried it. Locked, I flicked my wrist and the knife slid out and I shoved it into the door hinge. It broke right as Jason caught up to me. "If your going to take off like that, Tell me." He panted. "Sorry, I got exited. You normaly on't like me doing stuff like this." I said pulling the door out of place and throwing it to the floor. Jason stared at me. I walked in and was greeted with gaurds. "Oh, I didn't know anyone was home..." I said, They drew there guns But I like to think I'm a ninja, I ducked and roled to one side and kicked the gun out of one guys han then shot the others with it. Soon they were all on the ground. I looked at the gun, Dart, Thank God. Jason walked in and looked around. "GRACE! Did you kill them?" He screamed. "No, This is a dart gun." I said leaving the part of, "I didn't look first though" Out. "Ok...Lets see." He mumbled looking around the room. He came to one of the walls (or what I thought was a wall) and pushed. It was a door leading to stairs. "I wonder were it goes..." I asked, Jason smiled. "Lets find out." And he walked down with me close behind.

I chuckled "no, no desk." I smiled at Joe I was only telling him half of what the NIGHT virus could do.... Only the good thing about it and that was the only good thing about it. Joe took a seat next to my desk. I was going to start speaking when Carson came in "well look.... if it isn't Viper's little over protective boyfriend," Carson didn't like Joe and it didn't matter to me if he didn't "what do you need?" I asked him "I need your help with extracting the H23 from Ingredent Z," I got up and followed Carson, Joe was folloing me too.
"Tell that rugrat to leave.... he has no buissness in this." Carson whispered into my ear, I nodded my head and looked at Joe then back.... there seamed something off abot him but i just couldn't put my finger on it. I told Joe to wait outside the glass window while I extracted H23, I turned and saw the Joe was out of his IRONMAN suit and then its when it hit me. "Carson i'm going to need your help." I mumbled under my breath "just say ths word and I will..." Carson said "I need you to get me a sedative serum.... and mix it into some water for me.... then give it to Joe...got it?" I said, I knew there was something that Joe wasn't telling me.... but i guess i kind of deserved it.... I couldn't get my mind to process what was happening. When Joe returned to the villa, he seemed in a hurry to get somewhere. I gave him the serum simply because he is not very pleasant when he is in a rush. I was still deciding whether that was a good decision or not. It was suspicious, the way he was talking, so I bugged his phone. He blasted off as fast as possible after injecting my syringe. I swiped the serum's flasks and all of my chemistry supplies off of the table into a bag and shoved them into the locked cabinet in my closet. Since it took a bit to go up and down the two flights of stairs to the 2nd floor, I was only able to catch the end of Joe's conversation with Viper. "Text Dracia and deal with it. Or I will." came Viper's voice,"If I find out she threatened you I might let Vince get her, and that won't be pleasant for her. Thanks for making me your second, by the way. Do I get an office?" I yanked the earphone out of my head, not wanting to hear more. Why would Dracia have threatened Joe? And Viper and Vince were involved? And what was this about Viper being the second in command? Confused, I got out my phone and texted Joe "Have you replaced me? Don't lie, or I will know." the worried look in my eyes seemed to catch Drew's attention. "Ummmm Kate? Are you okay? What's wrong?" I looked up and hesitated. "I think-I think Joe replaced me with Viper." I said quietly, "And Viper thinks Dracia has done something...bad. I don't know what, but everything is so suspicious." Drew came over and hugged me "Don't worry about it." he said, stroking my hair, "If he's replaced you, I'll take care of it. And if my instincts are worth anything, you trust Dracia more than Joe. Am I right?" I wasn't sure what to say to that, and I stood looking at the floor, my mouth open with words that wouldn't come. Finally I decided to answer. "I don't know, it seems like Dracia has been nicer to me, but I don't know much about her. I know much more about Joe, but he has a tendency to shut me out. So, in a way, you could say that...." Drew nodded, "I thought so. Then shouldn't you warn her?" I ran from the room and down the stairs to the computer room in the basement. Being an AVC official had its advantages. I had access to Dracia's cell number, which she had never taken the time to give me. I saw on our GPS that she and No One were within a 10 foot radius of each other. Not good. I sent a text. "Dracia, it's Katherine. Joe and Viper might be after you. If we're friends, I thought I should warn you. Hope you stay safe."

I gave a low sigh as my phone beeped. "Just a second, I need to take this." I said to the blonde sitting across from me. She nodded and I stood up, exiting the room. It was from Katherine. "Dracia, it's Katherine. Joe and Viper might be after you. If we're friends, I thought I should warn you. Hope you stay safe."
I smiled softly at the phone.
"Katherine, I really appreciate your warning and intend on heeding it. But I'm worried about you. Are you and Drew alright? -Your Friend, Dracia..."
I hit send, snapped the phone shut, and walked back to the living room where Loren was sitting, drinking tea and folding a crane out of her napkin. "I have to go." "Huh? Why?" she stood, walking over to me even as I grabbed my keys. "Hunted. Don't want them coming here." "But why? Dray, you can't just leave!" "I have to. I have V6 and a psychotic killer possibly on my trail. That is not something I want you or Adam exposed to." She frowned. "I'm just as much a part of this as you are! I'm a Janus!" "I know, Lore, I know you are. But this is outta your league. So stay here and watch my brother, if you need help Noi is down the street." "No." She gripped my arm, now half inside my coat sleeve. "I will not let you go out into danger alone, Zesiro." I flinched at her usage of my real name. "I can't help you out there. If something happens you'll be alone." I woke up in a room strapped to a table with my IRONMAN suit hanging on the wall. Viper. Either she had turned on me or she wasn't being entirely truthful with me. I suspected she wasn't. Then I noticed a welt on my arm. great now she is going to find out. That was meant to be secret luckily there was one thing the vespers didn't know. I now officially owned nearly the ENTIRE world. There were territories that were Red's that I didn't own and one gas franchise that had buildings on property that I owned but not buildings. I could issue an executive order, sign it and have their whole operation shut down. I could inspect and search everything that went in or out of the buildings. So either viper was going to be honest or I was going to have some paperwork to fill out. Lucky for me. I had a lock pick cleverly hidden in the fillings of my teeth for such an occaision. Unfortunate ly viper walked in when I had it in my hand. "Dang. I told them no restraints. I am going to have to fire someone. I told them jobs would be on the line if they treated you like an animal." She undid my restraints. I sprung up and pinned her against the wall. "agression is a side effect of the sedative. To protect myself i'll give you another." I let go of her collar. You're going to be 100% honest with me and let me try to sort this out without you potentially harming people and Let the AVC make something that can do the same thing with no risks. or I will shut this operation down. I will have anything that goes in or out searched. If Dracia really threatened you that's fine. But your letting me deal with it." I said. "Ha ha ha ha. How do you expect to shut this down I outrank you inside these walls." She said. "Look at the property deeds." I said. She left the room. I heard muffled cursing from the next room and then she stormed in. "How did you do this?" She asked handing me the deeds. I stared at her blankly. "Before you built the building I owned the land at which it stood on. there was a clause that I had slipped into the contract that said I have full power over the property if I payed the bills. Who do you think, other than you and Oprah could afford 3 million a week in bills for it." I explined. "So I guess you do have the power. Alright we agreed to honesty I'll tell you. I was 70% honhest with you. true I was threatened by my superiors not Dracia. and true I can't control how it's used I can only manufacture." She went on to explain what she lied about the virus to me. I was mad. "this time I will forgive you. Next time I might ask for that ring back." I told her. She smiled. "There won't be a next time." She said kissing me and giving me my personal effects back. "Now your going to be 100% honest with me. Why did you have the vesper and cahill master serum in you and not tell me." She asked. "I stole it before I met you. I also had the ingredient that went into it stolen. And I made sure you couldn't make more. Everything but what was in my veins now was destroyed so it can't be for evil purposes. Now I have to ask. Are you going to use me as a lab rat. Your guinnie pig, run tests and expiriments on me........" I asked. "No. Nobody needs to know that you had this in you. I destroyed the papers and took care of the other people that knew about it. next time tell me. i had no idea you had the talents of all the branches in you." She said running her hand through my hair. I grabbed my personal effects. "I will. So what now?" i asked.

I texted Dracia again I found the bug on my phone.Contrary to what Katherine says, we aren't coming after you. Nor shall I let Vince come after you. I wouldn't kill you. Your my friend. but isf you don't deal with whoever is responsible for this. i can't guarentee this woman i believe you know her. (I uploaded a picture of loren) can avoid the murder charges the Cahills have on her. i believeshe is your girlfriend. I will have those charges removed if you take care of this for me. If not. I am sure you will have things you will need to do on your own too. I just want you to stop being protective. I know relationships need give and take. So I want this. But I'm willing to make a sacrifice if you'll sacrifice being over protective." She said. I looked at her. She was right. I needed to stop being protective. I didn't want to lose her like I lost Katherine. "Okay. I'll do it. But I want you to not kill people if you are on a mission. No murders I mean. If it is neccessary to protect yourself do what you have to. Don't kill anyone violently ." I said. She peered at me. "okay. I won't kill if I can help it. But I will burn the world to protect you. Honey, you are in danger. More than you realize. I can protect you. You don't know everything. And the darkness that is to come you can't stop. Not without me. I control your fate. A ~ I smiled to myself; it was Red's fault. Ah well, other things to do, mainframes to hack....
I happened to glance at a security cam, which was good news for me, as I caught a glimpse of something. Something bad. Reavers?! They sent reavers?! Now?!?! Cursing profusely in my mind, I quickly finished hacking and copying as many high security files as I could. I handed the flash drive to Red.
"Even though you're probably going to give it to him anyway, I trust you more than I trust FD. And.....don't pull any more suspicious levers." I turned and left before he had a chance to speak. It was a bit counter-intuitive going towards them, but this needed to be settled. When I did meet up with them, I was reminded of the typical Western stand-off. Except without the sand.
"You have been ordered back by the Society." The lead agent's voice sounded digital courtesy of the helmets all nine wore. "Comply or be taken by force."
"I don't think so." I regarded them carefully. "I have other things to be doing."
"One last chance." They all raised their weapons threateningly. I felt my muscles tense.
"Tell the Society to find some new preforming monkeys; my team and I are done."
"A poor decision." In my reality, I made time slow down; every moment was now in perfect clarity. I saw fingers tightening on triggers, felt myself jumping up, twisting as I preformed a backflip, hearing projectiles fly beneath me. As I landed, I sunk to my knee, simultaneously pulling out a dartgun. Firing three shots, I rolled out of sight behind a convenient corner. Tentatively, I peeked around to see that I had shot the three perfectly in the tiny gap between helmet and chest armor. Great. That left six more. I pulled my head back as they shot back at me. Even better. I noticed they were using darts as well. The Society must want me alive, lucky me. I could hear them getting closer. Five yards... I counted down the distance in my head. Four...........three.............two..... I leaped from my corner, expertly dancing around the first, shooting two behind him, looping my arms through the first's, twisting him into the line of fire, releasing him, shooting the last, and all within twelve seconds. I felt a hand on my shoulder and the muzzle of a gun press into my neck and cursed the fact I had forgotten the sixth. I tensed, hearing a shot, but I felt nothing. So why waste a good opportunity? I spun around, delivering a nice kick to the guy's head. He fell in a satisfying heap and realized it was Red, not him, that shot.
"I was wondering how long it would take you. But thanks."
"You're welcome. I couldn't let you have all the fun."
"Course not." Bending over, I searched the guy's pockets. Among the mostly useless objects, I took a few things then stood up again. "Wait, who did you leave at the Security Room?"

Finally. It kept saying that my account wasn't activated yet. I'm pretty sure it's activated...
I walked down the stairs with Grace close behind...
When we reached the bottem, I looked around the room. It appeared to be a... training area... But not a normal one. I'd say it looks like a User training area. So does this mean there are more here? Does every base have a secret Dark User place? Grace was about to start smashing the different machines when I yelled "Wait! Don't touch anything." I went over to a computer and turned the monitor on. Words popped up on the screen,

That doesn't look good... And it wasn't. Right then, three men came in from another door. Dark Users. With swords. Why are there so many dark Users? I drew Aurix, and Grace shot at them with her gun. She hit one of them, but the others blocked the darts. Then she was out. I had forgoten to give her the extra packs. She drew her sword from the belt that I gave her that was from the other Dark User. Carn, it was. Grace started to charge, but I stopped her. "Wait!" I said. "You're not even trained."
"So I'm just supposed to sit here and let you have all the fun?" She said.
"Yes." I replied, not taking my eyes off the other Users.
"Well I'm not going to!" She said, and yelled out, begining to charge.
"Fine! We'll take them together."
"That's better." She said, satisfied.
"Haha, you pathetic Light Users." The Dark User on the right said. "So you're Jason. If you really are the most powerful Light User, then we'll have no trouble destroying you all."
Then the other one said, "You and your little apprentice don't stand a chance."
"Little apprentice?" Grace said. "Little apprentice? Oh, that's it!" Then she jumped forward, planning to strike the one that said that on the head. She was going to get herself killed, so I summond a gust of wind and pushed the Dark User off balance. Grace hit him with her sword, then wirled around and attacked the other User. He blocked her attack, and swung his blade around to hit her. I jumped forward, kicking the Dark User that was wounded off to the side, and blocked the attack to Grace. She jumped back and slice at the wounded Users leg, forcing him to collapse. Once he was down, I cut him to knock him out. The remaining Dark User attcked me when I was cuting the other one, but Grace blocked that for me. "Thanks." I said, and swung my own blade toward him. He parried it away, and attacked me again. I blocked it and jumped back. I tried to access his mind, but he put up stronger mental shields. I tried harder, but I still failed. He dove toward me planning on stabbing me with his sword. I parried it away, and Grace attacked his side. He blocked it, and I swung Aurix at him. He managed to block it, but not before the tip of my sword cut through his flesh. He collapsed immediatly.
"Whoa..." Grace said.
"Ha, yeah." I agreed.
"That was AWESOME!"
I sighed. Grace. We both almost got killed, dooming every CVP and C.C.S. agent here. And she says "Awesome".
"I hope there's no more of them." I said.
"You mean they hope there's no more of them. We kicked their BUTTS!"
"Barely. Now let's see if we can find anything useful. Mabye a list of everyone in the Wehdab Cadelan, or whatever the name was. Or possibly a location of all their bases. Mabye even their plans. Now go turn on the stuff and see what you can find. But DON'T try to type in any passwords. We don't want to bring out anymore Dark Users right now if there are any."

So I will combine our POVS.
I got a text from Viper as she went off. This is one of those 9 of 10 missions you can't come on. Sorry, I'll be back tomorrow night. Don't wait up for me.
I texted back. Okay. We will be at the AVC Shangrilla base. I'll have a car waiting for you at the Bejiing airport. But consider what I said about letting me plan out your missions. I mean think about it. If you are sent to kill one person do hundreds of innocent people need to die to accompliush that. As an act of war I don't weiw killing as wrong. Just as innocent people dying. If they have commited a Crime and the vesper council and select others (I should be one) decide that their crimes are serious enough to warrent termination. Do you get what I am saying let me plan missions out so that only the targeted person needs to die. And No offense darling but you have the tendencey to not think before you do things. I just want to think things out for you. And please keep my methods of interogation. Be nice to them and they will tell you everything. Be Adolf Hitler and they will not. It's that simple. Keep your promises to that is important.
