Why aren't my posts showing up right away?
Moderators review each and every message to make sure the rules of the board are being followed. You can see those rules above the box that appears each time you post something. They are approved in the order they were posted. We try to approve all posts within 24 hours. The rules are: No last name, schools or cities (first names and states are ok) Age/grade is ok but no birthdays No being mean, rude or cursing No posting your email address, links to other websites, or your usernames for other websites No attachments or pictures allowed (unless, of course, it's a 39 Clues signature graphic)
Why isn't my post appearing on the front page? Can you put it there? Posts are released as we moderate them. We often approve batches of posts at a time, and unless we make a sticky thread, we have no control over which page a topic appears on.
Can you make my post a sticky thread??? Sorry -- we wish we could do this with so many great threads, but we would have PAGES of them. We use sticky threads for über important info from authors and Cahills etc.
My post doesn't explicitly break any of those rules...why was it edited or deleted? We reserve the right to edit and delete your posts. We may do this if we think you're sharing too much personal information, being inappropriate or or if the subject is not appropriate for the 39 Clues board. Some topics that are not appropriate are religion and politics and your personal love lives. We are here to protect your privacy. You should never share your name, number, location etc with strangers ob the Internet. There is SO much to discuss about the world of the 39 Clues and that's really what we're here for.
What is this "Report Post" button? Use this to let the moderators know if any rules are broken in a post that may have slipped by us -- it can happen!
Can I post in another language? No. Please stick to English. A moderator might know another language but we can't count on that, or Google translator. And we need to be able to read each message.
I posted a message with a code in it. Why isn't it showing up? Moderators have to crack your codes before we approve the message. To make this process faster, make a note to us in your post with the key or the answers. We’ll delete that info before we publish the post.

On March14, I posted (above) that there was an issue with card designs/changes not going through. I just checked and from over 2 dozen allies looking like their card was not shared, there are now only 3! Keep up the good work, Mods! Thanks!

Question: I have been seeing lots of people's messages coming up with signatures with gradients and funky fonts that aren't in the 'font family'. How do they do that?

Thanks I always follow the rules but its nice to know someone is giving us a little more info :)
Some people are great from the start but other times it is thrusted opon them because they are chosen and will do whats right war is pointless

WolfAmethyst, I have a full keyboard, so it may be different on a netbook, etc. On a full keyboard, you'll find the numlock key above the 7 on the pinpad on the right side of the keyboard. Hope this helps!

@DetectiveSpotter1, No, there is no way to search certain topics on the message board, but you can click View All Posts under everyone's cards and it will show all of that particular person's posts. Hope that helps!

Question: I've recently posted a fanfic on the MB. And I copied it from microsoft word, there were spaces between lines. But after I saw my post, all the spaces disappeared and the post was really hard for anyone to read. Can anyone fix it for me? And please tell me how I can improve this. Thank you

@AmethystAmazing167. No, sorry no one can fix it for you but you may ask the mods and they might edit it. If you copied it from microsoft word and there were spaces but they did not come through all you have to do is press the enter button, just about the shift button and click on where you want the spaces. Then you press the enter button until you have enough sentences. If you mean spaces between words then just click after each word where it connects to the other word and then space it with the space button! Hope this helps!

I have a problem with mission 3: Dead of Night. I have done the mission, but there isn't a check mark next to it and I got the medals but the medal next to the progress meter has no picure of a medal and the progress meter has no progress. How can I fix this problem Moderator Jen B?

I have three things to say:
• awesome, thanks :)
• how do you get the little 'THIS MESSAGE HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE MODERATER. 5-11-12' thingy at the bottom of a post?
• It was, about, a month or two when I saw a signature with a bad word in it. I looked for a report button, but there was none for signatures....there should be one. I don't know if that person still has that signature or not, though.
