Why aren't my posts showing up right away?
Moderators review each and every message to make sure the rules of the board are being followed. You can see those rules above the box that appears each time you post something. They are approved in the order they were posted. We try to approve all posts within 24 hours. The rules are: No last name, schools or cities (first names and states are ok) Age/grade is ok but no birthdays No being mean, rude or cursing No posting your email address, links to other websites, or your usernames for other websites No attachments or pictures allowed (unless, of course, it's a 39 Clues signature graphic)
Why isn't my post appearing on the front page? Can you put it there? Posts are released as we moderate them. We often approve batches of posts at a time, and unless we make a sticky thread, we have no control over which page a topic appears on.
Can you make my post a sticky thread??? Sorry -- we wish we could do this with so many great threads, but we would have PAGES of them. We use sticky threads for über important info from authors and Cahills etc.
My post doesn't explicitly break any of those rules...why was it edited or deleted? We reserve the right to edit and delete your posts. We may do this if we think you're sharing too much personal information, being inappropriate or or if the subject is not appropriate for the 39 Clues board. Some topics that are not appropriate are religion and politics and your personal love lives. We are here to protect your privacy. You should never share your name, number, location etc with strangers ob the Internet. There is SO much to discuss about the world of the 39 Clues and that's really what we're here for.
What is this "Report Post" button? Use this to let the moderators know if any rules are broken in a post that may have slipped by us -- it can happen!
Can I post in another language? No. Please stick to English. A moderator might know another language but we can't count on that, or Google translator. And we need to be able to read each message.
I posted a message with a code in it. Why isn't it showing up? Moderators have to crack your codes before we approve the message. To make this process faster, make a note to us in your post with the key or the answers. We’ll delete that info before we publish the post.

Thanks Jen B It helps alot when you answer some good questions. Another one: Are the Cahill characters actually the ones that post to us, (like the ones on pictures and stuff) or are they just moderators posting as the characters?

Another FAQ is: How do I add people as allies )or add their cards)?
If an agent's card has been enabled, you just click on it, then click the 'add' at the bottom of the larger card that appears. If it's not enabled, you need their card number. Similar to the 39 Clues cards, you enter that in the 'add cards' space under 'my cards' (which I usually open in another tab or window while I'm on the message board.) You can also ask them to enable sharing so more people can add them. Hope this helps!

Mystery deciphering, I don't think they'd sue, but that's just what I think. But I have gotten into some arguements. I tried to stay out of them, though.
Anyway, yeah, there is freedom of speech. But we can say we're a follower of some religion and post verses of the Bible. I just don't think we can post something like 'you're not a follower of my religion so you're evil'. My faith doesn't teach that though.
But yeah, I wish I could say whatever I wanted about it. Maybe we could have some more freedom, but overall, it's a good rule.
I do wish I could say more things, but I understand the rule. Though I guess I'm glad not all of religion posts go through, sometimes one believer of a religion makes everyone else look bad by being too passionate.
