We are pleased to announce that the Supreme Court of Massachusetts recently ruled in favor of Grace Cahill in the matter of The City of Attleboro v. Grace Cahill. The city filed a suit against Madame Cahill when she refused to permit public safety officials inspect her basement laboratory. Mr. McIntyre convinced the jury that the inspection was a violation of the Fourth Amendment. He argued that “as a gifted scientist, Madame Cahill has every right to conduct private experiments at home. It would be a waste of time for her to explain her project to city officials, as they would never understand it anyway.”
The attorneys McIntyre, MacArthur, Mulligan, and Smood believe in our clients’ rights to their privacy, regardless of what they may be hiding.
